Lovely and quiet place to stay on Isabela - rooms were big and very comfortable, good shower with hot water!

Hammocks, very friendly staff, very clean and comfortable, hot showers, fresh towels, a place to do laundry and wash snorkelling gear.

Room needed a few hooks to hang clothes and towels.

Best place to stay on Isabela. This lovely couple will make you feel at home and cared for straight away (like very caring parents). They gave us the best tips about where to eat and who to book tours with. Breakfast on the patio was lovely and the location was great. The room was simple but nice and big and clean, with a fridge and good shower. It was serviced daily. We also had access to a kitchen. Would highly recommend this lovely couple! The man was one of the first guides on galapagos and told us endless stories in Spanish but his wife spoke english well!

Cartago Bay is a gem. Gulnara and Celso are terrific hosts. Huge room, nice shower, comfortable beds, and A/C and strong ceiling fan made for comfortable sleeping. Quiet location that is only a few blocks from everything. Beautiful courtyard. Gulnara's breakfasts have to be the best on the island! Both Gulnara and Celso make you feel at home. Highly recommended and would stay here again.

Accommodation: Our room was large, immaculate, with a very large comfortable bed, great bathroom with soap and body wash, there was AC (although we didn’t need it), and a nice ceiling fan. Quiet & private. There was a nice communal area with hammocks, and there were great hand washing facilities for clothes. Location: Very close to where the boat drops you off. A few minutes walk from the centre of town. Close to a great snorkelling place (conch & Pearl). Hosts: Gulnara and Celso are wonderful people - extremely warm, friendly and service-minded. We felt as though they could be our parents from the Galapagos because they made us feel so at home. Celso was born in the Galapagos and has worked as a captain & guide and knows everything you might want to know about the islands. Breakfasts were also great here. We highly recommend staying here when visiting Isabella.

The owners run the hotel and are very friendly, honest and helpful. The bedroom is big, super clean and the shower is perfect. The location is safe and great. I loved the owners and had a great time in Isabela island.

Nice hammocks to relax on and good breakfast. Our hostess gave is good advise about island tours and food recommendations and allowed us back into our room to shower after check out time All in all a great place to stay

Nearly everything. We had stayed in about 10 places on our three weeks tour of the Galapagos Islands. This was our favourite accommodation by far. Most of that was down to our host. She couldn't be any nicer. She was always there with a smile, a laugh, and some very helpful advice. She was constantly trying to satisfy her customers. As we are both vegans, something very new to her, she was very interested in ensuring that we had a good breakfast each morning and even went online to research some very tasty vegan meals, including the best vegan breakfast that we had on the Islands. She always offered us more food if we wanted it. We enjoyed this place so much, that we added 4 more nights to our original plan. And, on our last day, the host allowed us to stay until very late, to shower, before we took the boat back to Santa Cruz. Excellent host. Always there for her guests. Couldn't have been more helpful. Even making us breakfast at a time that suited us. And always laughing. The property itself is in a great location, within walking distance of the port (and Concha Perla) and the town centre. The best location in town. The garden of the property is an ideal location to relax too, with a few hammocks and many birds around the area. Our room was large and very clean. The shower was a good size with plenty of hot water to give you a good shower. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Isabela.

Just slight things. Although not the host's fault, on one morning, there was a very loud party next door somewhere from about 7am, for several hours, which was annoying. The beds are a bit too springy for our liking. We prefer more firm beds. It would be nice if we could rent bikes from the property too as otherwise you have to go into town to do so. However, the town is not too far away. The host only speaks Spanish. Didn't bother us much as the host is very friendly and willing to help.
