It’s a tucked away location but still a good hub for seeing some of the most beautiful parts of the Big Island. It’s close to some beautiful coastlines and a short drive to Hilo/Volcano. It was our first time in Hawaii and it felt like we got a more local perspective than expected, which is something we preferred.

Location is secluded and wonderful. Surrounded by the sounds of the ocean, birds, nature and occasional light rain. You'll need to be comfortable with driving, but in my opinion this made for an amazing week on the big island. Makuu point is amazing during anytime of day or night. Thoughtful that they provide coffee. The laundry room is such a convenience. Our room was smaller than what I saw pictured or written about, but I still give an excellent rating. I believe there are 5 rooms total. We didn't see any beach towels, but didn't ask as we'd brought Turkish towels. Great places nearby: Makuu point, Paradise Cliffs, if looking for sand and reef - Richardson Beach Park (black sand), you'll pass many other Beach parks along the way, Hilo, Pana'ewa zoo, Rainbow falls, boiling pots, Kaumana caves and HVNP a bit farther etc. 2 hour drive to Kona side, so just plan your days if/ when wanting to visit.

This cute little apartment is beautifully updated with comfy beds and thick soft towels. We loved walking up to Makku Point each morning.

The room had everything we needed. Check-in was very convenient, and we were also given helpful information about the area and even where to go to see the sunrise.

The apartment is very pretty and clean, it’s right next to the ocean and the views of the coast are amazing. Perfect place for birds lovers. The host is very friendly and has a lot of helpful tips. There is a laundry room, barbecue and beach items for the guests to use.

Amazing location close to ocean, perfect for walking and great for day trips to most of the islands most popular attractions.

The location was great being a very short walk to the lava rock cliffs overlooking the ocean.

I chose to stay at the Inn as my family does not have air conditioning and I suffer from autoimmune heat intolerance. However, the Inn surprisingly is not air conditioned. Really wish this would have been specifically noted in the description. I did use the floor fan provided, which helped some. Also, the walls are VERY thin. You can hear everything in the adjacent rooms, which I was I rated this as not a romantic getaway.

Very quiet and beautiful setting. Only a 5 min. walk to a gorgeous spot by the ocean. The unit was very comfortable and nice. The host as very helpful and gave us privacy but also valuable information about the area.

Ocean Breeze Inn is comprised of 2-Two bedroom suites (upper level & lower level) with a full kitchen and living room. If you rent both suites, there is an inside connecting staircase from lower level kitchen to upper level living room. We rented the lower level suite and 2 separate bedrooms (We did not have access to the upper level kitchen or living room). Each room has a Lanai. Upper suite has ocean views from each room. Each living room has a futon. There are 3 bathrooms in each 2-bedroom suite with a full bathtub in each bathroom. Bathrooms are stocked with shampoo and body wash. Kitchen was fully stocked with service for 6. Beds were very comfortable! Pillows were also very comfortable (best pillows‼️) There is an attached laundry room. Laundry room is stocked with 4 beach chairs, snorkeling equipment and sand toys. Extra trash bags, laundry soap & fabric softener are also found in this room along with grilling utensils. Outside, there is a gas grill. There is also a large eating area with a covered pergola for outdoor eating or sitting. Paved parking area has room for 4 vehicles. We walked to the ocean cliffs each day…about 1/2 mile (turn right at stop sign) or 1.5 miles to Paradise Cliffs (turn left at stop sign). Majestic views‼️ Great location and convenient for going into town or traveling to other sights on the island. Main roads are paved and maintained nicely. Andy, our host, provided us with useful information regarding things to do on the island. Ocean Breeze Inn is an amazing gem‼️.

We loved everything about the property. Please include a picture of the floor plan. We would have rented both 2-bedroom suites which would have given us access to the upper kitchen and living room.

Location was great. Close enough to volcanoes for an easy trip to the park each day. Great farmers market nearby on Sunday morning.

No air conditioner was a bummer. Super humid at this time of year made it a little uncomfortable for sleeping.

A cozy, clean room, comfortable bed and a hot shower. Having laundry facilities was great. We walked over to the point and watched the sunrise over the ocean every morning before heading out to explore the island.

The wifi could have been a bit faster, but this was trivial.

The property is very clean and well-kept. Right next to the beach. Property manager was very helpful and hands-on. Always available. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a long comfortable stay in Hawaii.

Everything was excellent

Very simple room but has everything you need. Laundry room is very helpful. The community is so serene and beautiful. Definitely a unique side of the island. Host is very responsive and helpful. Will definitely stay again when I'm back in the area!
