Schitterend huis, bijzonder goed uitgerust en mooi gelegen op een centrale locatie met uitzicht op de oceaan en aankomende/vertrekkende vliegtuigen. Heel schoon en diverse terrassen om buiten te zitten. Parkeergelegenheid op eigen terrein was heel erg fijn, want het huis ligt tegen de berg op aan een smalle, heel steile weg. Genoeg handdoeken.

Geen fietsen aanwezig, maar dat gaf uiteindelijk niet, want het huis ligt tegen de bergwand aangeplakt en de naaste omgeving met enorm steile hellingen nodigde niet uit tot fietsen. Tweepersoonsbed kraakte nogal. Zitbank in de woonkamer heeft zijn beste tijd gehad. Veel mieren in de keuken.

We as a family of 4 had a wonderful 2 week stay at Casa da Morena. There was great communications with the management team who were very responsive when I had a question. The accommodation is very clean and roomy and the house was ideal for us. There are two shower rooms, a huge kitchen with great facilities and I liked that the kitchen overlooked the pool, so I could keep an eye on the kids if I was indoors. We all enjoyed the pool, especially on hot days and outside areas have sea and town views, yet are very private and not overlooked. We had no problems with the wifi and both TV's were smart TV's. Santa Cruz is traditional and pretty with plenty of restaurants and a play park for the kids and a few small supermarkets. The highlight of the holiday for the kids was the water park which we walked to a couple of times. It is easy to catch a bus to Funchal which we visited a few times. We got the cable car in Funchal one day and another day we took a boat trip. We also had a full day jeep safari along the West coast which was interesting as we didn't hire a car so it was a good opportunity to see more of the Island and stop at other villages.

As others have mentioned the property is on a very steep hill but we were aware of that when we booked and we are fit and able. Each time we walked it it got easier! If we had heavy shopping we took a cab from Santa Cruz which cost 5 euros and the hill wouldn't put me off booking again.

Very well equipped holiday house with fully functional kitchen. Swimming pool is small and with salted water but functional - water is unfortunately quite cold.

Please bear in mind that the house is located at a very steep road (as everything on Madera) so you need to have a good car and very good driving skills. Alternatively you can be a mountain climber. Please remember that some of supplies are only for 1 day what is not reflected in description (e.g. toilet paper) so better buy it on a first day before climbing 😊. Also late check out unfortunately was not possible.

Good location, nice view, clean house, plenty of towels.

We ran out of toilet paper on the second or third day, there was not enough for 2 people for 10 days. The apartment has a washing machine but no washing powder, you have to buy it, if you would like to wash clothes.

the house is very big and comfortable. it is not shared with anyone-you have everything, including the parking space with automatic door and swiming pool for yourself. its very clean and furnished in a modern way. there is a balony from which you can watch the planes landing and starting. it was a great attraction for our 6 year old son, it did not disturb the sleep. the bed is comfortable, kitchen is well equipped, WiFi works well and there is TV with Netflix. few minutes down a very steep road there is a local market with fresh fruit and bread, a very tasty vegetatian restaurant and nice and clean strony beach

just very tiny things-The house is new and modern, but not fully finished-the garden is not arranged yet, it could be a very comfortable place for relax having e. g the hammocks. the balcony contains just 2 chairs, garden umbrella is missing and there is no place where you can hide from the sun while being outside the house. the road is extremely steep - this is just the information, not a disadvantage of the house

The villa is perfect for the holiday. Beautiful inside out, well maintained. All facilities are good quality.

The villa is on a hill. Very hard to access if your mobility is limited. Car is a must or taxis are quite affordable (4 euro from villa to Santa Cruz centre - Bolt)

Amazing place to stay. Very clean, well equipped, close to Santa Cruz and airport. Would definitely stay there again.

All was excellent, only extra heaters would be great for cold nights, we had 1 and we were moving it from room to room on cold nights. But apart of that amazing. Very accommodating host.

House was fully furnished. Had amazing time in Santa Cruz. Accomodation is perfect for relaxing holiday. Good location. Will need to walk up to the hill, but it was okay. Maybe little harder if you got kids. But if u rent a car is perfect. Not farr from Funchal and other cities.
