Washing machine, dishwasher, the apartment being 5 floors up it was quiet to a point.

The apartment is smaller than the pictures,give it credit. This apartment is absolutely tiny. It was also very dirty & dusty when we arrived. There was long brown hair all over the floor. We are a family of blonde haired people, so it definitely was not ours! The skirting around the flat was disgusting, and the bathroom ledge had dust & dirt all over it. The most disgusting part was that the sink was filled with brown hair in the plug hole. The apartment is 15-20 mins walk away from Montremarte. When it says near, you think you are in this area. You are not!! The area is a complete dump. There are drug dealers on the corners everywhere. There are people sleeping on mattresses on the streets. Large groups of men on the corners selling cigarettes and the nearest train station is absolutely horrendous. There are police sirens practically every 5 mins going up and down this area, which can be heard from the apartment if the windows are open. Do not take your family here under any circumstances. You can not walk around at night for fear of being mugged or worse. It is not in Montremarte at all. I can express how bad this place is. I can honestly say this was the worst place I have ever stayed, and I would say I have travelled a lot all around the world.

Very good location, close to several Metro stops. Lovely courtyard view with opening windows. Quiet apartment. Lovely home away from home. No problem with the neighbourhood.

Perfect place for us to start exploring Paris

Not an actual complaint, but be aware that it is 5 flights of stairs - no lift. Though, Paris made us haul our luggage up and down stairs at a lot of places.

The flat is small but lovely and good for the price in Paris. The fittings are nice and modern. The decor was nice. Gare du Nord and Montmartre are close as are several metros.

It was not quiet. Several nights there were very loud parties till the early hours with noises and smells that meant we couldn’t leave windows open. Not good with young children in an extreme heatwave. This isn’t the owner’s fault but I feel it was a reach to call this quiet! The location is not family friendly. I’ve lived in cheap areas of several cities but even I found this area too unsafe. There were ten flights of stairs. I wish this had been mentioned as someone with health issues that struggled with this. The owner persistently contacted me by every communication possible after checkout whilst I was busy trying to travel with young children. I had left the key in the kitchen as the key box wouldn’t open (as is the norm in many places). And no instructions were given about where to leave it. She argued with me that she had clearly told me to leave it in the key box. I showed her the email showing she hadn’t and then she backed down and apologised and her cleaner then remembered she had a sparekey she’d left at home so there was no need to be so stressful anyway. This was unfortunate and unwelcome. The owner did then apologise though so I thank her for that and I’m glad it was resolved. I just didn’t need such persistent chasing while travelling with children when I’d done nothing wrong and the problem could be resolved without me. I suggest always carrying a spare key in future (and not accusing me of losing the spare key when we were only ever given one). I still give a generous 7 but advise families it might not be for you. Could be lots of fun for a couple though. Montmartre is not too far away and there are several Metros nearby. Gare du Nord is also walking distance.

Excellent renovated apartment, fully functional.

The neighbourhood is not suitable for families. We didn’t feel safe when we walked towards the house in the evening. There is a metro station in a 2 minutes distance, however even this short walk made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe.

There were 10 flights of stairs to get to the property, it is essential that this information is provided prior to booking as fortunately we were fit enough for the stairs however it would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues or elderly people.

The location is excellent as it is very close to a Metro station (Chateau Rouge). The facilities are very good and the apartment is very tidy. The neighbours were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again.

I have very little to complain about. The TV did not work but that did not matter to me as I did not need to use the TV. It was the end of October so it was a bit colder than expected. While the heating was very good, I would recommend more blankets for the winter season.
