Stayed 3 nights for a weekend family reunion in area. The place was beautifully updated, spacious, comfortable, and had every amenity you could ever need. The beds, sheets, pillows were comfy, plenty of hot water, air conditioning units worked fine during the warm days. The dining room could easily seat a dozen people (altho we didn't have that many). The property was very close to downtown to be near restaurants, the brewery, and other businesses. Instructions on what needed to be done while in residence or upon leaving were clear. The front porch was a great place for a morning cup of coffee.

The house was clean and a great space. The rooms are large and great for younger kids and the whole family. Close to many great sights. We really had a good time.

It was a beautiful home with spacious rooms and an abundance of beds. There is easy parking and additional spaces two doors down for added vehicles. We had six adults and everyone, except Mom & Dad, had their own room. Multiple beds in each bedroom meant that we could have had 4-5 more guests comfortably. Ample table seating, servingwear, utensils, mugs, cookware, and refrigerator space for a large get together. There are so many family events like hiking trails, boating, shops, mine tours, and parks to visit in the area. What a dream rental.

We had a need for a place to stay on short notice for a large group of people and this place definitely met our needs. We loved the place and will definitely stay here again when we are back this summer!

Have been spending 5 days with friends during the heart of winter in the UP for the last 35+ years, and this is the best property.

Everything about our stay was perfect! The home was centrally located to all the events in which we were participating. The ski hills and ABR are only minutes away. There was ample parking for all vehicles. The home was comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The owners were easy to contact and the driveway was plowed quickly. We had a wonderful weekend and would not hesitate to book again!

The house is nice, large and lots of beds. There was room to park 5 trucks with trailers and UTVs. It was close to the trails and met our needs for the weekend.

The house was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed. This is our second stay and we will definitely stay again the next time we are in the Ironwood area.

Our family was looking for a big enough house so that we could all stay together to celebrate the 4th of July with our extended family and friends. This house was more than perfect! The house was clean, well decorated and equipped and met all of our needs. We will certainly be back!

We have been going up to the UP for over 30 years to ski and snowmobile, etc., andTrailside Retreat is truly the best place we have stayed. Will definitely be returning next year.

This was a perfect spot for 4 couples who have traveled together for many years. We were there to cross country ski and the trails there were great!

We have been coming to the Ironwood area for nearly twenty years. Typically we stay at the downhill ski resorts, however, this time, we stayed at this property. We were so happy with the space. It was perfect for socializing with our friends, cooking, and sleeping. The beds were comfortable. There was a cozy, well-lit sunroom. It was clean and spacious with plenty of bathrooms. It was minutes away from our favorite cross country skiing. Our friends said multiple times that we should book the place again for our annual trip next year. Thank you to our hosts!

We came up to ski and relax. It was awesome getting off the hill and having this wonderful place to relax.

This was perfect for our Christmas ski vacation. Super big house well stocked. Even had a little Christmas tree for us. Super clean and large enough for all 6 of us.

This place was spacious, pleasantly decorated and clean! All of us were comfortable and slept well. After doing waterfall tours and hikes, it was good to return to a comfortable, private home base.

The host was great and the house was very nice. The kitchen was nicely equipped and the bathrooms had lots of towels and TP. Very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again!

Trailside Retreat was the perfect home away from home for our family vacation! Saying the house is beautiful is an understatement. With the wood floors, the thoughtfully placed decor, and bedrooms with distinct themes; it felt perfect from the moment we stepped through the door. Sitting on the sunporch with the windows open was a dream. The kids had plenty of room with so many bedrooms. Each bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, soap, facewipes, and air freshener. We have stayed at many rental homes- no one else has ever done that! The area is beautiful. Waterfalls galore, hiking, Copper Peak, and you are also not far from Apostle Islands and Duluth. It really is the perfect spot to use as a home base to explore the area. It wouldn't be a review if there weren't some things to improve. There is only one TV in the house. It would be nice to have at least one in the master bedroom or one upstairs for the kids. The kitchen lacks a few things that I would expect in a rental house-a toaster, a pitcher for juice; but the beauty and happiness that this house provides FAR outweigh any negatives that we found. Nicole was a dream to work with when we had some questions. She quickly responded to my messages and gave great solutions to any problem. She provided information before we arrived as well. Trailside Retreat is the definition of a perfect vacation home.

We booked the house because of the location to all the ski resorts and it was absolutely perfect. Plenty of room and close to grocery stores. It snowed while we were there and the drive way was immediately plowed. We would definitely stay again.
