As locals who have moved away, this was a great place to stay to come back to the UP to visit. We were happy to be able to bring our dogs, and enjoyed playing fetch in the large yard. The house was well-stocked and clean. Floors are very squeaky which made it difficult to move around the house when our child was sleeping, but all part of the charm of an older home. It’s so nicely refinished, and we would choose to stay here again. The location is in a quiet residential neighborhood, several blocks from the downtown area - would be perfect biking distance to the local trails.

The overall property was very nice, all of the rooms were decorated very modern and the location of the property was perfect close enough to downtown but also very peaceful and quiet.

Cottage is well equipped and a very nice place to relax after skiing. Hills are close, bed is comfy and Ashley was super responsive to my questions. I would consider the place Ultra clean as welll. Definitely would stay here again.

This place was spotless. Our expectations are very high and we were not dissapointed . This was not just surface clean like some places, it was spotless and smelled clean. I skied while my wife and our dog hung out on the property. I had a great time skiing and Sue Ellen and our dog Reacher enjoyed the quiet time at the house.

This property was perfect!

We have wanted to check out the waterfalls in WI in that corner of the state. In doing our research we found that the UP has many more. This house was a perfect "home" base to hit 20 waterfalls in one weeks. None were "that" far away at all. We saw Bond Falls, and were close to check out the sea caves in the Apostle Islands....and so much in between. The Whitehouse Cottage was just a great place for us to come and go from. It has a window AC which kept the larger bedroom super comfy...and where we had our two Shelties stay in their crates when we were out. The kitchen had everything needed for the basic cooking we did. Everything made it a great stay. To top it off Ironwood had an amazing bakery - Rigoni's. And the Iron Nugget in Hurley had great food. Super place to get away too!

We loved the decor, the kitchen was stocked with everything imaginable, beds were comfortable and it was centrally located.

The house was a perfect base for our waterfall tour. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Great place to stay for a ski vacation

My husband and I just spent a week at Whitehouse Cottage and enjoyed every minute we were there. We did some snowshoeing and cross-country skiing before the winter was over and the cottage met all of our needs. The property was clean, tastefully decorated and very comfortable and it had all the kitchen utilities that we needed. Also, the house was close to downtown and to all the ski & snowshoe trails. Also a huge plus, the Cold Iron Brewing was within walking distance, very cool place with friendly people and good beer. The property owners were very helpful and responsive with our questions and needs. We would definitely go back!

Our winter trip to Ironwood was perfect and it all started with our stay at the Whitehouse Cottage. The cottage was clean and cozy, our three children and German Shepherd were perfectly comfortable. The host has done a nice job of maximizing the smaller space and have great taste in decor. The host is also extremely responsive both prior to our trip with recommendations and during our stay to fix a very small problem with a faucet. The property was positioned perfectly for us to ride snowmobiles one day and then spend the next skiing at Powderhorn. Highly recommend spending your time up north at the Cottage!

We go to ironwood a lot for ski races and this was the bast rental we have ever had. Super cute and well decorated home, super clean, well stocked with extra blankets and all the kitchen gadgets/small appliances you could ask for! Super easy check in process and great communication - We will definitely be back!! Thank you!

This was a fantastic house in a great location for skiing and snowmobiling! The house is very cozy, clean and has everything! The house is on a nice street and very close to everything in Ironwood, hurley WI and all 3 ski resorts! Would highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again! We loved our stay at Whitehouse Cottage - everything was perfect! From the cozy blankets, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and great decore it could not have been better. The location close to downtown Ironwood, Indianhead and Blackjack and Powderhorn, and the Montreal ski trails was excellent too. We'll be back!

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. There were so many small touches that were thoughtful and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped.

Ironwood Michigan provided a great location for us to travel and visit places in the Northwoods. Everything was about an hour away and this particular area allowed us to visit various locations (e.g. apostle Islands, porcupine trails and a take a tubing excursion) while missing any weather in the area. The house was very cozy! Our family was able to use all the amenities included and our dog's kennel the perfect in the garage while we took our excursions. While we're growing as a family, the bunk bed fit an adolescent and kid in their mid childhood years very comfortably. The cleanliness and comfort levels of the house above average and better than most hotels. The owner was overly accommodating! We were provided information on time and received notifications right away about any questions that came up. Even when we forgot an item at the house, they made every effort for us to get it back. Thank you very much for that! We would stay again and recommend this place to others!

We loved our stay at the Whitehouse cottage! Great location- easy to get to surrounding falls, hiking trails, beaches. The cottage had everything our family needed for a comfortable stay! Very comfortable beds!!! We enjoyed the local brewery which was very close as well as plum & honey creamery (ice-cream shop) so good! We would definitely stay here again and would recommend!!
