This home is a great location to be able to walk to multiple locations. Home was well equipped w/a few kitchen extras & beach towels.

Lovely place.
There were issues with the hot tub that we never ended up using. A loud fan or motor would come on at various hours and the digital monitor would flash. We called the service number on a poster nearby. A guy from the hot tub company came out but said the service company was no longer in business, so he took the poster away. This may have been the service guy saying the hot tub company was no longer in business, it was confusing.
Glassware and dishes were pretty disappointing for the price we paid, as well as the “starting” items like Saran Wrap ( none) Ziplock bags ( 2) for example. I think the propane for the grill was on vapors but we managed to get a meal done.
We checked in at 4 and then around 4:30 a property attendant came in the house without knowing we were there, scaring the heck out of us. They had been told the floors needed vacuuming but we did not put that request in.

Our family visited Bend 7 years ago and loved it so much we decided we needed to do it again. We were familiar with the town and wanted to be within walking distance of downtown - which was a bit of a hike, but fine with us. What we didn't know was how great it would be to be so close to all the great Galveston options.
All in all:
Location -- I wish it was a tiny bit closer to downtown, but it was a great location in a nice neighborhood
Property -- amazing! The primary suite in particular is top notch. The kids' closets provided ample space, but my adult daughter was a little cramped in the twin/twin room (it was fine, but might have been better for kids). The living space was perfect, clean and well appointed.
(I also love the door codes -- so much better than using a key IMO)
If we are lucky enough to be in Bend again, we will stay here or check out other Meredith Lodging options.

We were in town visiting my brother in law and this home was within walking distance of his house. It was very convenient, neighborhood was quiet, and the house was comfortable and clean. Beds were comfortable, amenities very helpful! We would definitely stay here again if we came back for another visit!

We spent the weekend here with our family and had such an enjoyable time! The house met all of our needs and then some! We especially loved the front porch swing, hot tub, comfortable modern living room, and the en suite bathroom/closet! We would love to stay here the next time we’re in town.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend staying here. We arrived at 4:45 pm and the cleaning crew was there. Check in was 4:00. There was no apology or advance notice. We returned 30 minutes later and the cleaners were gone. Upon inspection, we noticed several things indicating a rushed cleaning such as kitchen trash not emptied, trash under furniture, dust bunnies, and cobwebs. We had tickets to a concert and our evening was a little rushed. The next morning we took the sheets off the beds, as instructed, and noticed a missing mattress on one mattress which was dirty and a stained pillow, gross. I have notified management and await resolution. Nice house, good location, not cleaned well and not ready on time.

This is a lovely home in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood. Location is great! So close to downtown and Galveston. The covered front porch is perfect for sitting outside with a cup of coffee in the morning! The master bedroom and bath are gorgeous. Kitchen and living room are really nice and were the perfect communal space for our group of 5 adults! The 2 additional bedrooms and bathroom could use updating but overall really nice stay. The only thing I would change is how we were communicated with in relation to the service animal one of our party traveled with. While the hosts were accommodating we were asked specific questions to the nature of the disability the dog was trained for, which was frustrating as legally the specifics of the disability do not have to be disclosed. Next time, a more informed and appropriate approach to those questions would be appreciated.

Great location with plenty of great places to walk and eat. It was fun but for the price I expected more. Was disappointed that the outside garbage can was over flowing upon arrival and cigarette butts were on the back deck plus the hot tub needs to be repaired. The 2nd queen bedroom is very small so if you are going with adults someone is getting a much smaller room. More towels are needed to accommodate the advertised 6 people. Other than that it was a comfortable and the inside was clean.

The house has some deferred maintenance and the deck area needs attention (dirty, peeling paint) the beds and bedding could be better quality. The kitchen has no staples and only one dish towel. The coffee provided was good. The guest bath had no shower curtain liner.

This house is in a great location. Easy access to everything in the heart of Bend. It’s also a nice size and layout for a group of 6. Communication with the property management company was also very easy. We were disappointed that the house was shabby—very worn dirty carpet, peeling paint, handle broken off the oven door, linoleum coming up in the bathroom, etc. it also wasn’t cleaned very well. Someone had done the basics, but kitchen cabinets were sticky, the track of the shower door was kinda gross, etc.—just seemed like it had been awhile since a thorough cleaning was done. We also had to rewash some of the bedding.
I hate writing reviews like this, but rentals are expensive in Bend, and I wouldn’t want someone else to be disappointed. I did share this feedback privately with the rental company in hopes that I could end this review with a positive customer service experience, but I got no response.

Baltimore house
We came up to Bend to ski for a few days. The house is located in a great place, next to stores and a short hop onto freeway for hitting the mountain. The downfall was the cleaning of the unit was not up to par. There was a disgusting puke stain in the hall that was not cleaned up from previous occupants.

Lovely home in lovely neighborhood
This is a great vacation home with plenty of amenities. We loved the hot tub on the back deck and found everything we needed in the kitchen. Beds were comfy and everything was very clean!

We enjoyed our stay, only a short distance to town. The microwave went out, but someone came to take care of it fairly quickly! We also had a hard time getting into garage, but thankfully someone called me back fairly quickly and got that solved! Overall we liked the property, plenty of dishes, etc in kitchen. We would recommend this property.
