GREAT PLACE

We had so much fun during our stay. I've never seen lake water so clean. The dock feels very private even though there are neighbors nearby, there is also tons of swimming space. The cottage itself has a full kitchen that's stocked with plenty of bowls/plates and cooking/eating utensils. Grill works beautifully. WiFi was fast enough to be able to comfortably stream a movie. Literally no complaints, it was a perfect stay! One note is we didn't see any garbage bins outside so we weren't able to take out the trash when we left, apologies. Maybe the one suggestion we would have is to give clear instructions as to where the trash bins are, but that's really it. Thank you so much to Bob, we made some beautiful memories thanks to your cottage!

We had a great time at the lake. The house was nice but could have been cleaner, the driveway was steep and very small. The microwave didn’t work either. The fire pit at the lake was really nice and the back deck is large. Overall it was a nice place to stay and the lake was beautiful and quiet.

Beautiful location! Only one bedroom with a/c unit. Fairly clean aside from pet hair. Host was very responsive to questions.

Walk across to the water, road /noise was never an issue. Just what we needed.

It's nice. It's clean, it has recently been updated, it has a dock, and allows pets. If we were being fussy we'd want laundry, dishwasher, a lake-facing-deck, central air, and a bit further from the road noise but that didn't take too much away from the experience. It's nice.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The camp was small but so well laid out that if felt much bigger, the back porch/patio area was such a bonus. Our children (9) and (5) loved the dock and we all swam daily during our vacation. The beach area is rocky and and a bit mucky if you walk into the water (rather than of jumping off dock), so bring water-shoes if that type of thing bothers you, otherwise the water was clean and refreshing. The road was a bit nerve-wracking, as cars and logging trucks tended to speed through the area but that did not stop us from enjoying the water. The camp was also a perfect base to explore the area hiking, tubing, railway biking and general sightseeing. We really enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyed several days by the lake

Communication with owner was always quick and friendly. House was great, lake front was wonderful, nice dock and clean water. Fire pit was a plus. House was clean and functional. We like to cook a lot so some spices especially salt and pepper at the house would have been nice but not an issue. Wifi worked alright, some streaming services took a long time to load but we barely used it as we were on the water most of the day. The driveway is a bit tricky and logging trucks would fly past regularly so crossing was a bit scary but mostly not a busy road. Would definetely stay again!

We were very happy with this rental. Very clean, easy access to the lake. We did have to buy two fans for two of the bedroom, as there is only air-conditioning in the main area and 1 bdrm. Also no mirrors in two of the bedrms. Nice deck with a large table to eat on.

We had the best week at the cottage! Kids loved the dock and the easy access to the water. The kayaks and canoe were also a perk! The house had everything we needed. Made for the best week of our summer!

This was our 2nd summer at Sacandaga, first at this property and everything was great. Layout allowed for the window ACs to work efficiently, and big porch in the yard allowed for in and out usage. Dock area was wonderful, albeit a bit of a rocky entry but that was apparently due to unseasonably high water levels, not to the layout. Owners couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Lack of a washer dryer (which we knew about ahead of time, but underestimated the need) was a small issue since we had a large group with a bunch of kids, but full sun in the yard made it easy to dry everything out. Highly recommend, super happy with our time there.
