We have stayed at this property many times over the years and it is still our favorite Galveston rental. The deck has comfortable seating, shade and a view. We appreciate the large dining table which is perfect for family meals, games and puzzles. The house is clean, beautifully decorated and has plenty of natural light.

I CHOSE THIS PROPERTY DUE TO THE REVIEWS, BUT MY VISIT DIDN’T REALLY GO AS SMOOTH AS THE REVIEWS. WE DIDN’T HAVE USE OF THE DRYER BECAUSE IT WAS BROKEN, THERE WERE BODILY FLUIDS ON THE BATHROOM SHOWER CURTAIN, ONE ROOM’S BED SHEETS HAD MALE BODILY FLUIDS, WHEN WE CALLED ABOUT THE DRYER & TO GET SOME BED SHEETS, THE PEOPLE THAT CAME OUT WERE MORE WORRIED ABOUT PEOPLE THAT THEY SAW, INSTEAD OF WHAT THE REAL ISSUES WERE, MANY THAT WE DEALT WITH ON OUR OWN….THE PROPERTY MANAGER WASN’T THE ISSUE, IT WAS THE LACK OF USE OF CERTAIN ITEMS & THAT SOME THINGS WEREN’T HOW IT WAS DESCRIBED ON THE REVIEWS

We were impressed with how clean the house was. We loved the location. It was perfect for our family vacation. It contained everything we needed. We will certainly rent it again and recommend to our friends.

Great location, steps from the beach. The deck was awesome with plenty of seating and great views of the beach. Kitchen was very well stocked. Large table for meals, playing cards, games or puzzles. Lots of space to relax and unwind with comfortable seating in the living area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

Stayed week of 4th of July with family and friends celebrating Mom's 80th birthday. House was generously stocked with bedrooms/beds for 12. A charming loft for the kids. Kitchen had all appliances in good working order, lots of dishes and cooking equipment, coffee makers Keuring and drip. Dehumidifier was a God-send for what turned out to be the hottest week on Earth on record. Ample outdoor seating, picnic tables and grill. Less than 100 yards to the surf. House is about 15 miles from Galveston downtown. Off the beaten path but still has multiple convenience stores very nearby - just a block away. Popular beach area but not over-crowded and no loud or rambunctious parties late or overnight. All of us really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Larry and Karen for a very enjoyable stay!

This was our very first rental from Vrbo and I’m so impressed! Everything was so perfect it looked even better than the pictures online we had a pretty big group and the house was great! We had great communication with the owner! the house was very cozy and clean! The fully fenced in yard was great for our littles to play and run freely the deck was gorgeous with very comfortable chairs and even had a gate so the babies wouldn’t fall down the stairs! Beds were heavenly! We are definitely renting this beautiful beach house again! Overall it was great! Thank you Larry and Karen for sharing this piece of heaven with my family!

Fun, beach home perfectly situated within walking distance from the beach. We could easily come and go from house to beach to accommodate our family needs from age 8 months to 92 years. Early morning coffee and after dinner drinks on the patio were amazing! We hope to be back!

The house is wonderful. Communication from the owners is fabulous. We had zero problems. The only thing I wish I brought with me would be a spray cleaner for the counter tops and tables as I like to clean up after eating. I did bring foil, parchment, and ziploc bags with me and that was helpful as well. We had 8 adults. Plenty of seating, lots of plates, bowls, silverware, etc. Also great cooking pans. We will absolutley return here next time. The proximity to the beach is fabulous. Thank you

This is a very nice beach house with a wonderful view from the back patio. Home was well stocked and comfortably slept 7. Would definitely stay again.

Super location and really great house. Nicely decorated and just the right amount of space for us and our 4 kiddos. The kids loved the loft and there was plenty of drawer space up there for their clothes. Plenty of towels and the kitchen was nicely stocked. Lots of beach toys for the kids to use too. Absolutely phenomenal completely fenced in yard perfect for our pet. The beach is right there! Sea isle is just across the street and the marina has a great restaurant (with live music some nights) which we love to frequent when we visit. Had a great visit.

We enjoyed our stay over Thanksgiving. Nicely decorated, comfortable furniture, plenty of dishes, nice view. Only 2 things were not perfect - shower water does not get hot and the yard gate does not close due to a build up of sand. Could not let the dog roam free.

Hard to add much to previous reviews, but my family group (spouse, older parents, kids) had a wonderful time. This is one of the rare instances that the house itself is actually better than the listing/pics. Some reasons that we chose this particular house were: Location in Sea Isle (20min from town, but Beach is just SO MUCH cleaner and quieter, also there is a great area at the Marina with a restaurant and close enough emergency shopping if you forget anything) Location walking distance to the beach (this is technically second row and there is a house immediately in front, however the unique corner location allows it to feel fairly beachfront and you absolutely get beach front style views. you are VERY close to the beach; we walked back and forth multiple times. So much more convenient even than packing a bunch of things up in a golf cart) Size/space/rooms inside: the layout is perfect. There are two king size bed rooms, a room with two full size beds, plus the loft for kids. The living room is vaulted, which always makes things feel more spacious. There is enough comfortable seating (!! key here - some spaces offer terrible set ups) and a very large dining room table for games and meals. Also great counter space. A bonus here is that you have MORE than enough dishes, cookware, small appliances - literally anything you could need; we never ran out. Also both bathrooms open to the living area, so no traipsing through a bedroom to get to one. Outdoor space - important things for us were: covered elevated seating to get away from the sun/weather when we wanted to just watch the waves from above (many don't have this when we looked around); covered downstairs area (this one is fenced in with a short fence that clearly offers manicured usable space, plus a shower/ concrete pad/ covered parking/ swing/ picnic table - great for hanging out, and it's not unkempt or just sand); gate at the top of the stairs to feel safe about all being on the upstairs porch with kids/dogs - many also don't seem to have this, which may be great for some but for us we like that added security. Some extra info - we never ran out of hot water (but we weren't all really trying to shower at the same time so YMMV), NEVER ran out of any dishes, host provided starter kit of laundry and dish soap and coffee, they ask the guests to fully clean out fridge but there are some spices left, outdoor and indoor games available, strong wifi and cable

This property was great for our family vacation and had everything we needed. I have little kids, so I appreciated the fenced yard, gate on the deck, sand toys, board games, and even the step stools in the bathrooms. It was a super easy and short walk to the beach, which was also great for the kids. The kitchen also had everything we needed. Overall, it was a great property for our group.

We had a great time staying at the Blue Starfish. We have had several family vacations in Galveston, and this was the best house so far! The house was clean, and the kitchen was very well stocked! The AC worked great the whole time we were there, which we were thankful for with this hot Texas summer! There were plenty of beach toys, so we didn’t need to pack any of ours. The owners even provided board games, books and DVDs. Our kids loved playing board games in the evenings! The best part of the house is how close it was to the beach!

The house was set up perffectly and the kitchen was well stocked with anything you may need. We had 3 differnet families staying the setup of the bedrooms worked out perffect for us. The kids shared the loft and each couple had there own bedroom. The beach was a short walk away which we really loved being able to go for morning/evening walks on the beach or just going down for a couple hours to swim. We are already missing our morning coffee on the deck it was so relaxing to start the day.

We really enjoyed our stay at the blue starfish. The proximity to the beach was perfect for our families with 6 kids and 2 toddlers. It was easy to run back and forth for potty breaks and forgotten items. The views from the porch were fantastic. The house was perfect for 2 families with kids. The kitchen was large and well stocked and had everything we needed. The beach was quiet and not crowded at all like closer to town. It was about a 20 min drive to the sea wall. The house was updated and decorated well and very comfortable for all 10 of us. They had a variety of games, movies and puzzles for the kids. The outside shower and hose were very convenient for sandy feet toys. There were an abundance of towel racks in the bathrooms which was perfect for all the towels and swimsuits used through the week. We will stay here again!

This is our second year our family of 11 stayed here and we continued to make memories with our sons and grandchildren. We plan on making this a tradition. Our family enjoys spending time together and what a better place than at the coast. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
