The cleaners do their best with what they have to work with

Stay here as a last resort only. Most disappointing accommodation I ever stayed in. No staff on site. 7 year old cyclone damage with no start on repairs. Rooms dark, old, musty with insect traps that dont get all the bugs. Good luck

Did not look promising from the front of the property, but the room had recently been tastefully renovated. clean, organised and a very comfy bed. Secure keyless entry, and despite thin walls, there was very little road noise. Walking distance to pubs in the main street. We had a great meal at the Metropol Hotel. Was not staffed due to public holiday, but instructions to access room were easy to follow.

Staff was friendly, room very clean..

No cutlery, plates, bowls or toaster . No exhaust fan for bathroom. No basic information at all. No bedsides for phones glasses etc. Bed was so uncomfortable that we ended up sleeping in separate beds. Didn't help.. Totally disappointed.. The owner explained that they were rebuilding. But that is no excuse for not having the basics in the rooms they are letting out.. I would expect this level from a pub room at half the price. We are now in Mackay in a room $35 cheaper a night.. it has everything.. plus breakfast, washing machine and dryer.

There was no information provided on how to access wifi.
