First nights stop on the NC500 trek, it was totally adequate for our needs.

It was close to the ferry. And the ocean.
We slept in a cottage, and didnt realize until we came to the place.

Staff were really friendly could not do enough for you.
Decided to stay in the hotel an eat ,dinner was great chips were to die for.
We booked a chalet as have a dog after i booked started reading reviews an was a bit apprehensive, no need was really surpriced the room was amply an clean, bed was comfy wouldbe happy to stay hear again great value for money
Arrived at 4.15 girl on the bar did not know how to check us in an asked to come back at 5 after a long journey you just want toget settled. This is not a complait
just a i conveniance

The location was amazing ,good views of the coast. Breakfast was lovely.
Tea was very weak, but that's my only issue.

We stayed a so called Chalet which was no better than a small 'box'. Very overpriced for what you get.

it was perfect for the ferry, it was very warm and clean, the food was good and the staff we met were excellent.
the lift was temperamental, could do with a ramp beside the outside steps to reach reception.

Not a lot
The floor creaked on every step you made anywhere in the room. Poorly decorated with wall paper coming off . Bath panel falling off

Very handy for the Orkney ferry port.
We stayed in one of the chalets out the back. Small, but fine enough for an overnight stay and bathroom was clean with a good shower.
Breakfast was good and plentiful.
No complaints for an overnight stay. more than one night, it maybe better getting bigger room.

Shower room extractor fan stayed on all night
Reported it to night porter and he said couldn't do anything.
Reported it to reception next morning and receptionist said oh yes we knew about that.
We should never have been put in that room until it was repaired . Worse night sleep ever.
