The House Manager (Inge) called me days before I travelled and explained everything I needed to know about the house, she was fully available and helpful during the duration of my stay no matter the hour of the day, she was an exceptional host.

bit far from knysna town/ had an issue on checking in but was sorted out by the owner !

Location is beautiful and the house well equipped. Many different spaces for friends to mingle and something for everyone. Thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful house. Had everything we wanted and needed.

It is really cold (in the winter) and nearly impossible to heat with the single fireplace.

Space to relax, pool table, darts etc. Great view.

Lots of flies... I assume because of the cattle across the river... Maybe better at another time of the year. Some of the bathrooms take a long time to get hot water, feels like a terrible waste.

The home is beautiful. It is a pity that we could not actually experience it.

The whole experience. James the owner double booked us. We are a group of friends and family. We are on a road trip for my wedding. I booked this house at the end of September. I messaged James to ask and make sure that everything is in order because this is an important time for me. He assured me that it is and that I will absolutely love the place. I messaged James the same day as our check in to find out how the check in process work, he read my message and did not respond. 2 hours later I messaged again, this time the message did not go through. We then arrived at the property to find that someone else is checking in and that they double booked us. You can imagine my distress. We drove all the way from Durban to be told "sorry, we made a mistake". They were quick to take our money, which was a lot, but James could not give a damn about anything else. I was in absolute shock. He did not even have the audacity to apologize, not a word from him. The poor agent that was there got the wrath of me and it was not even her fault. She eventually managed to find other accommodation for us, but we ended up wasting 3 hours of our precious time and not to mention the stress it caused. James, you should be ashamed of yourself. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. You could not even pick up the phone to apologize. Instead you were like an ostrich with it's head in the sand. Sies, how could you!!! I will take this further if I do not get an acceptable apology from you. You caused me so much stress and anger and this 2 days before my wedding
