Les chambres ne sont pas tellement insonorisées et la mienne était contiguë aux sanitaires . Il y a eu du passage dans la nuit

Misleidend weergegeven op jullie site. Voor de kamer “Dubbel kamer met uitzicht op de bergen” stond er dat er een balkon zou zijn, wasmachine & zelfs een haard, maar dit was allemaal niet zo. Vervolgens de eigenaresse gebeld, die het niet heeft weten op te lossen. We moesten dankbaarder zijn volgens haar. Ik vind het heel jammer dat het zo is gelopen en vind het super triest om niet eens een kleine restitutie te ontvangen voor de kosten van deze “kamer” (4,5 m2). 1 van de 3 nachten hebben we er geslapen, maar het voelde niet goed meer dus zijn we zonder wat te zeggen weggegaan om bij vrienden in Kyoto te kunnen verblijven. Dag!

The area of Yamashina ward it is located in is very calm. Not much traffic in the area and the station is fairly close.

Very difficult to find, especially at night. No lights at the entrance, and the only clue you're at the right location is the name written in kanji, so if you don't read Japanese it would be very difficult. Apparently the other guests were unaware that I was there, or that we do not have front door keys, or simply did not care, as I found myself locked out of my own accomodation one night. Luckily a sliding door around the side of the house was unlocked, so I was able to enter, but this also raises other questions as to the security of the property. There should definitely be a notice posted to let guests know not to lock the front door as none of us have the key. Very inconsiderate of the other guests. We also shared no common languages, so I decided to leave early rather than having to "break in" to my own room every time they decide to lock the door. There were bugs everywhere, and the room smelled very badly of smoke. The owner, though writing messages in English, did not seem to understand very well what I was asking when I would ask questions.

It was very spacious in a quiet residential area.

I liked everything

It was a very unique place to stay.

The place was beautiful! Great for the experience of staying in a Japanese house!

There wasn’t anyone there for checkin and in the heat after walking up the hill with luggage was hard to figure out how to ‘check in’

Nice place on tatamei. With full facilities. Owner communication was good, even told us about the worldld site. Did a walk along the canal to see various temple and shrine in the morning rain. Love it!
