Die Lage und die detailreiche Erklärung zum Selfcheckin

Das Zimmer war nicht sauber, ein Föhn hat gefehlt, das Zimmer hat nach Schimmel gerochen und war feucht. Das Zimmer sollte grundauf mal renoviert werden, kein Vergleich zu den Bildern. Im gesamten Hotel hat es nach vergammelten Fisch gerochen und das Wasser hat nach Abwasser gerochen. Zudem war das gesamte Hotel hellhörig und die Zimmernachbarn haben keinen Respekt vor Nachtruhe. Es gibt zwar einen Kaffeeautomaten, der allerdings selten bis nie aufgefüllt und gereinigt wird. Darüber hinaus habe ich alleine an einem Tag 5 Emails mit dem selben Inhalt bekommen. Das ist einfach zuviel Spam!

Great location, plenty of biscuits to snack on, Good shower pressure, comfortable bed and nice little breakfast.

Smell from drains and lack of tv for the evenings we didn’t want to venture out. Fridge in communal kitchen had vast amounts of out of date and mouldy food.

El hotel estaba bien, es auto checkin. Las habitaciones son un poco oscuras no hay mucha luz y es todo negro. Pero la cama es cómoda.

Desayuno un poco simple comida caliente y para calentar algo tenías que pedirlo todo el rato.

Wir waren 2x da, im Rahmen unserer Island Reise. Die Bilder in der Anzeige täuschen über die Realität hinweg. Hier hat jmd ein Hotel(oder war es ein Hostel?) gekauft, etwas schwarze Farbe an Wand und Decken geschmiert( leider dabei vergessen, dass es dann eine adäquate Beleuchtung braucht), hippe aber billige Möbel reingestellt und über einen No - Rezeption Service eine möglichst kostengünstige Struktur geschaffen. Als wir das erste Mal kamen muss jmd Fisch angebraten haben, das ganz Haus stank widerlich, überall stehen Duftständer rum, warum das so gerochen hat weiß ich nicht und konnte auch nicht erfragt werden, da ja kein Personal. Das Öffnen der Schlüsselbox hat erst nach 2 Aufrufen funktioniert, die Email mit dem Code kam beim ersten Mal nicht an. Die Zimmer waren auf der ersten Blick nett, wenn man genauer hingesehen hat aber nicht wirklich sauber. (am nächstem Morgen habe ich beim zurückschlagen der Bettdecke gesehen, dass ein roter Fleck (Blut?) drauf war und auf dem Laken 2 lange, schwarze Haare (ich bin blond). Weil alles so dunkel ist konnte man das am Abend nicht sehen. Das Frühstück war ok, das zweite Mal besser als dann erste Mal,hier fehlte immer irgendwas, obwohl es bei weitem nicht zu früh oder zu spät zum Frühstücken war...das dann doch anwesende Personal war nicht übermäßig freundlich , man hatte das Gefühl eher eine Last zu sein und zuständig fühlte sich keiner wirklich.Beim zweiten Aufenthalt (Rückreise) bekamen wir ein total muffiges und noch schlechter ausgestattetes Zimmer zugeteilt. Beim Anruf der Servicenummer teilte mir die Mitarbeiterin sofort eine andere Zimmernummer mit, sie musste gar nicht nachsehen, so als ob sie damit rechnen, dass Zimmer gewechselt werden... Das neue Zimmer war auch nicht wirklich besser, für eine Nacht aber ok. Reykjavik ist teuer, aber wenn ich den Standard eines Hostels hätte buchen wollen, hätte ich dies getan - schade da kann man deutlich mehr draus machen!

Le petit-déjeuner était ok, rien d'exceptionnel. Sur les 10 jours où nous sommes restés cependant, on a remarqué que les employées oubliaient souvent de recharger les capsules de café !

Je n'ai pas apprécié le fait qu'il n'y avait pas d'accueil donc en cas de soucis c'était à nous de nous débrouiller. La cuisine commune était aussi dégueulasse, il y a des déchets et aliments périmés dans des casseroles à l'intérieur du frigo !!! les conditions d'hygiène ne sont pas du tout respectées et les gens font ce qu'ils veulent ! En outre, la localisation est marquée comme étant "dans le centre" or ce n'est pas du tout vrai ! Si on considère que la rue menant à l'église Hallgrímskirkja est le centre-ville, alors l'hôtel est à peu près à 30mn de marche de là (nous y étions en plein hiver et donc avec une couche de neige épaisse et glissante).

Das Personal war sehr nett und hat über die Chat-Funktion bei Booking schnell geantwortet. Außerdem gab es einen Kaffeeautomaten an dem man sich 24/7 bedienen konnte.

Der Schlüssel, den wir aus dem Keysafe nehmen sollten war nicht vorhanden. Wir sollten dann nach Rückfrage einen anderen Schlüssel nehmen. Später kamen aber andere Gäste mit einem Schlüssel in unser Zimmer, es wurden also scheinbar mehrere Schlüssel für ein Zimmer rausgegeben. Man hat sich bei uns dafür entschuldigt, aber unangenehm war das natürlich trotzdem. Das Frühstück war eigentlich okay, aber eine Stunde vor Ende gab es schon keine Eier und Pancakes mehr und auch die Brötchen wurden knapp. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn man das noch einmal aufgefüllt hätte. Außerdem war der Raum zum frühstücken ziemlich eng und es gab nicht so viele Plätze.

Easy to park in the street for free. Walking distance from the city centre. We got the room with personal bathroom which was very clean.

They claim daily house keeping on request. We requested it twice but never happend. Breakfast was good depending on who did it. The majority of the time, you had the lady that takes her job serious and it must ben said that the breakfast was good. However, on two out of our seven days, we got the other one who prefers her phone. On those days, expect that the breakfast table runs out of food and cutlery quickly without being refilled. To give an indication of our first day, we were eating dry bread on a napkin.

The bed was comfortable. Some cool art around.

Huge comfortable bed, warm shower and a great breakfast. The location is also very great, parking was easy and not too far from anything in the city. Staff were immediately helpful and replaced the toaster the next morning after I mentioned it stopped working.

The room is quite cramped and the shower curtain sticks to you while you take a shower, would benefit from having a door instead.

Il soggiorno in questo hotel non l’ho capito, appena siamo arrivati la camera non si apriva, e dopo averli chiamati me ne hanno dato un’altra, quindi deduco che succede spesso! Lo staff inesistente e anche un po’ strafottente, la camera pulita ma molto piccola! L’acqua sa un brutto sapore, un po’ sotto gli standard islandesi!

The staff were very helpfully, and flexible. The breakfast was delicious. Nice floors, really enjoyable. I really can recommand.

(Only my habit) I prefer to sleep on Television background noise, which was not. But this was not huge problem.

Hotellet hade inte ordning på bokningarna, blandade ihop rum. Deras betalningssystem funkade inte, vi fick betala sent en lördagkväll genom en personal som kom till hotellet eftersom det inte fanns en reception. De tog för mycket betalt och det var mycket struligt. Toalettpappret var slut på kvällen i den gemensamma toaletten. Rummen var mycket mörka, svarta eller mörkbruna från golv till tak. Det fanns ingen skylt på utsidan som talade om att det var ett hotell. Inte ens ett nummer på huset var uppsatt vilket gjorde det förvirrande att hitta rätt.

El desayuno estaba bien y la cama era muy cómoda. También se agradece tener galletas y café/té gratis a disposición. Las zonas comunes son agradables y estaba todo muy limpio. Algo positivo es que no se oye nada de ruido de la calle.

La habitación que me tocó tenia muebles un poco gastados y no era tan bonita como las que se ven en las fotos. Además las paredes son muy finas y se oye mucho la habitación de al lado. También estaría bien tener secador en los baños compartidos.

Felt like at home. Easy check in, comfortable room. Delicious breakfast (best breakfast buffet we had in Iceland). Convenient location, few minutes away to shops. Don’t really understand complains, you pay higher rate whilst in Iceland but Brim is good value for money.

Enjoyed my stay! Nice boutique hotel, walking distance to main shopping street. Very good breakfast buffet, free coffee and tea with cookies. Friendly staff. A lot of Icelandic artwork.

First of all, I arrived after a very long and difficult day and there was loud music from the building next to the hotel. I understand it is not the hotel's fault, but maybe future guests keep this in mind. I immediately contacted the team members and they showed me other rooms, but they all were facing the backyard and the music was still there. So they downgraded me to a room on the other side. no compensation was offered for this. After I checked into it the other room, I found the toilet full of papers and not flushed. I immediately informed the team via Whatsapp and I was too tired to talk to them or even move again. so I just pinpointed the problem and went straight to bed which seemed to be clean. Breakfast was okayish in a very very tiny room where it is very tight to walk between the tables. overall rooms are dark and need some maintenance. there is no locker inside the room, so it doesn't feel safe as well. I first wrote a review of their internal system through “Guestjoy” and expected to be compensated for the inconvenience or for it to be resolved. no one reached out to me, so I just leave it here so people are aware of the potential noise, cleanelles issues.

Good place for a night. Good breakfast for Iceland. Location in walkable distance to food options and even the center. Easy parking in the area. Easy check in.
