Big Hooray for the host for his patience. We were super tired and I missed his text with the dropped PIN for the exact location of the apt. (we knew we could drop luggage close to the apt and then have to park in a municipal lot). Well we ended up down a super narrow dead end. Our host found us and rescued us- LOL. The apt is really modern- I loved it!. Try and find the A/C- it is hidden by an piece of art. The whole place was done well. I loved the key pad entry rather than a key. The rooftop deck was great at sunset. We had a nice meal on the square. We toured the Castle. It was a great town to visit and this is a great place to stay!

A perfect spot right in the historic center, across the basilica of Ponferrada. The appartement is rightly named a suite. The interior is brand new and well designed. It offers all comfort and comfortable beds. And then … the roodtop terrace has an amazing view on the castle and the basilica. The host was great and very helpful. The procedure smooth. Don’t hesitate to book here, and try to stay more than one night!

the address is tricky to find at first as the Calle appears to be in the Church grounds and google maps has difficulty pin pointing the location.

I stayed in Azotea Suites for one night while I was on the Camino. It was a truly gorgeous apartment — all new fittings, marble stairs, large comfortable bed, kitchen, views across the city, and a beautiful rooftop deck overlooking the castle. Very centrally located near the castle and the Camino. The owner, Waldo, helped me find good restaurants and was very communicative. Highly recommended.

Everything. The room was impeccable with the most amazing interior design. So many details. Completely new. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the location was superb. The kitchenette was also perfect and had everything you could need. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed somewhere I liked so much. Wish we could have stayed longer.

top notch amenities, full kitchen, the most comfortable bed- bottle of wine and Waldo was personable and attentive to my needs. spectacular views from the terrace. Had a lift and wonderful electronic phone / key system to get you into the building without a key. I would 1000 times stay here again. Highly recommend- and free Netflix! spectacular née HOTEL. I loved it for my rest day on the Camino.

Everything! The place is in the best location in town with terrace overlooking the castle as well as the basilica at the same time. The building and room are very modern and come with all sorts of technological advancements. The owner takes great pride in his hotel and pays great attention to details - from the toiletries he provides to kitchen equipment etc. Everything in room is of premium quality - sheets, coffee, utensils, dinnerware, sheets, etc etc. Even the dryer wasn’t generic. He also offered me a bottle of wine and recommended to enjoy it at sunset - and messaged me when the sun started setting so I wouldn’t miss it. I invited a fellow traveler to have the wine, meats and cheeses at sunset and it was magical! I was made to feel at home! The linens were perfectly fresh and crispy… I slept like a baby! PS. The friend whom I invited to have wine with me, booked a night at Azotea Suites the next night - based on seeing my accommodations - and loved it, too.

My best night’s sleep in Spain since I arrived almost a month ago on camino. The host made our welcome and stay so memorable. Attentive but not intrusive. His communication (in English for us) was timely. They restocked water, tea and coffee each morning. We stayed two nights and wanted to stay longer. It was so wonderful, I find it difficult to describe. A studio but so thoughtfully and stylishly designed and furnished it lives like a one bedroom. Spotless. Feels brand new. High tech. Free Netflix. Great kitchen. Traditional Spanish breakfast beautifully presented and delivered to your door if you want it. Elevator. Rooftop to view sunset overlooking the Templar castle and views of the valley. Location could not be more central yet we had such a quiet sleep. Excellent and large shower. WiFi worked! Air conditioning and heat worked (we needed both during our short stay). I enjoyed this more than our much more expensive stay at a Parador where the shower didn’t work and it was never addressed. I would come back here without hesitation.

We were warmly welcomed by the owner Waldo. He showed us the accommodation and explained everything. The accommodation as well as the furnishings are indescribably of the highest standard. The roof terrace offers an incredible view of the castle and the church. The location of the accommodation is absolutely central, right next to the church. I can only recommend the accommodation, I have never seen anything so beautiful before. Thank you Waldo for the accommodation and hospitality.
