From the moment we walked in, we knew we had found our perfect weekend getaway location! The property was well kept, clean, and very inviting. We loved all of the natural light inside the house from the skylight & sliding doors. The peacefulness of the boho inspired furniture and decorations. Would highly recommend and would definitely plan on staying here again - thanks for allowing my family and I the opportunity to create some amazing memories this weekend in your lovely home!

There is plenty to do at the house, the pool, fishing off the dock, pingpong table, bikes for riding around the area. If you want to venture out it is a quick trip to many beaches and boat rentals! A very "locals" feel beach community! The house was clean and had everything we needed for making dinners at home and eating inside or poolside. We highly recommend for families and friends.

My husband and I just returned from a 5-night stay at this home. Before arrival, we alerted the host that we would be arriving late. By the time we got to the home, it was just before 9:00PM. The house was completely dark. No lights on inside or outside. The front door code did not work. Using our iPhone flashlights, we were able to navigate to the side door, where the lock box was located. It was extremely difficult to open, but we finally managed to get it open, so we could use the key to go into the dark home. The house was clean and as described, for the most part. The master bedroom mattress is extremely uncomfortable because it has a very odd “hump” in the middle of it. (Plus, the sheets don’t fit. The “fitted” sheet is definitely NOT fitted.) The blinds do close all the way to the floor, but there is light streaming in on all sides. There is a skylight in the master bath that makes the bedroom very bright, if you don’t close the pocket door into the bath. There is not an accessible electrical outlet next to the bed (in the master) to charge your phone and/or iPad/tablet. We are used to instant hot water at our own home. Having to wait for well over 5 minutes for the shower water (or any water at any tap) to heat is something we weren’t used to. The water pressure in the master shower is very low. In the other bathroom, the shower pressure was fine, but the water pressure at the sink was very low. Be aware that you will also have to purchase ice, if you want it, because the ice maker does not work and there are no ice trays. (It may not be hooked up to a water line?) Finally, the instructions say that you must not leave anything behind, like unopened bottles of Diet Coke, or you’ll be charged a “removal fee.” We had to pour out all the unopened soft drinks and throw away the unopened food, etc. Such a waste—these items could be donated to a local shelter. Would we stay in this home again? I’m not sure. It has issues that didn’t comport with what we expected or wanted. but note that there is nothing dishonest in the home’s description.

Lovely home on a corner lot. We brought our dog and wanted a house with green space, a fenced in pool, and a quiet neighborhood to walk the dog and it was perfect. Had everything we needed. Beds comfy. Never found the patio cushions, but wasn’t an issue for us. Would rent again.

This rental is beautiful! It is very clean. The pool was large and the outdoor areas perfect. The owners were very quick to respond to questions. They also were kind enough to supply an air mattress last minute to accommodate our family. You can fish off the dock, which our kids loved. The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It is not particularly close to the beach. We ended up driving to Sanibel and Naples for their beaches. For the price, I would have preferred something a little closer. The house could be a little better stocked. There was only 2 plastic glasses. Of course we didn’t want to have breakable dishes out by the pool, so we needed to buy plastic cups and plastic plates. Another added expense was having to buy two beach umbrellas. It says one was provided but it was broken. Since we flew there, we had to leave the umbrellas. The only other issue we had was the lack of towels. There are exactly 6 beach towels and 6 bath towels. My kids were in and out of the pool all day long, so it was hard to have dry beach towels. Overall, this is a beautiful property. I think it could be better stocked for families (sand toys, beach umbrella, etc). I would rent this property again!

We had an awesome stay! The property was exactly as advertised!! The large glass doors looking out over the pool made the house even more inviting. The master bath was to die for!! The dock out back was a lot of fun. We fished off of it and saw a manatee one night!! We didn’t use the bikes but made good use of the ping pong table!! We went exclusively to Barefoot Beach for our beach outings which is VERY close to the property. Highly recommend it too!!

We had previously rented from the prior owner and then learned that the house had been sold the week of our scheduled trip. The new Owners were amazing at making my re booking seamless as they honored all the prior bookings. The house was beautiful, on a quiet street and the checking in was extremely easy. The property manager was at the house minutes after needing assistance with something minor and was only a text or phone call away. I would definitely recommend this property and look forward to booking again soon!!

We were a party of 5 adults who loved the location close to many restaurants and shopping. The pool was fantastic and made the trip. Going to the beach was easy with the owner provided beach chairs and towels. We would stay there again. House needs more plastic ware for outdoor dining and drinking around the pool.

The house was perfect for our 6 person party. The pool area is great and the house is great for relaxing.

This was our first time using VRBO and we were so impressed. The property is exactly as described in the listing. I assumed we would have a few hiccups or things not quite as explained, but we had no issues whatsoever. The house was very clean and exactly as pictured. The master bedroom and bath are amazing! My 3 kids fit in the extra bedrooms perfectly. The pool area was a great size, loved the patio overlooking the water - we even saw two manatees hanging out in front of the dock. We loved the bikes and the ping pong table. Those were great additions that made our stay even better! We were able to bike to a nearby store to shop for fun souvenirs, the Royal Ice Cream Shop, and the grocery store and neat little restaurants are very close as well. There is a really nice bike path along Vanderbilt Drive that we went to almost every day. We appreciated the small amounts of laundry, dishwasher, hand soap, toilet paper, and paper towels that were provided. There were no weird noises, the temperature was great, and everything worked except the jets in the jacuzzi in the master - but that's not a big deal. We also couldn't get into the front door with the code provided, so we just used the side garage door - which we probably would have used regardless. We were just a little nervous arriving at night and the code not working - but we figured it out. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. We all loved our trip and this property so much! We would highly recommend it to any family or even a couple. Perfect location, nice sized home, and very clean and nice upgrades. Thank you so much!

Very well kept, lots of room in the house. Pool is larger than most in the area. Location is a quiet street with many other homes. Manatees off the back dock!

great stay

This house was exactly as shown, and very cute inside. We rented a Boat from Bay Water Boat Rentals down the road, so we were able to dock it at the house for the weekend which made the location even more desirable. Had everything we needed for a chill and laid back stay with family. The beach cruiser bikes were so much fun to ride around the neighborhood on, and we took advantage of the pool everyday! The sound system in the house was also a HUGE hit with everyone, great sounds quality in all of the rooms - really nice. Only downside was that the house was lacking a couple of essential items like (not enough paper towels + toilet paper, and no laundry detergent). We were able to hit the store down the road for those things though. Could have used a couple more clean bath towels, but overall really enjoyed our stay!! The ground around the pool is extremely slippery, slipped a few times during our pool time, so just something to be cautious of. Would recommend this stay to anyone who wants a cute place with easy boat access.

Our stay at this property was very relaxing and pleasant. We had some bad weather the first couple of days but were more than happy to make use of the ping pong table and other amenities. The house was very clean and well kept, 3min drive to the beach which was beautiful. Pat has some cruising bikes in the garage and we rode them around the neighborhood. We caught a few catfish off the dock and there were wild bunnies running around the property as well. The ice machine took over a day to start working in the kitchen but not a big deal. Pool was cold due to the rain. Outdoor space was very nice and we had dinner outside every night! Highly recommend!

Overall, we enjoyed ourself for a 4-night stay over the 4th of July weekend. Our stay, however, was not without its hiccups along the way. The VRBO app and the email sent from VRBO prior to check-in had the wrong code to the front door, so be sure to verify that prior to your arrival. The property owner was quick to resolve the issue and we were let inside the house to find a clean, updated space with nice finishings. It was 77 degrees when we checked in, so we immediately turned the thermostat down to cool the place off. After 2.5 hours of the temperature staying the same (actually rising to 78), I decided to text the property manager to see if they had experienced any issues with the AC before, or if there was anything we needed to do differently to get it to work (the air was flowing, but the temperature of the air from the vents was no cooler than the room temperature). The property manager Dave was quite rude in his text response, and assumed that the house was not cooling off because we must have the windows/doors open (which of course was not the case). He did later apologize, although the was rude later in the stay when we reported the same issues with the AC and the temperature of the house. I finally decided to contact the owner, who was very apologetic, and had an AC repair company come out the next day to evaluate the problem. It was determined that there was a leak in the coils and it would have to be replaced once a new coil had been ordered. There was no answer for why the front bedroom had no airflow whatsoever from the AC vent. The guest who was staying in this bedroom had to sleep on the couch each night because the room was so hot. In addition to the AC issues, the refrigerator did not work properly (it cooled our food items, but probably to around 50ish degrees I’m guessing, despite the fridge temp being set to 33 degrees). And the ice maker did not work. The toilet in the laundry room bathroom sounds like an earthquake when you flush it, but that was a minor nuisance compared to the AC. Overall, other than the terrible customer service rendered by the property manager Dave, as well as the AC issues, the house was in a great location, and within easy walking distance to several restaurants in town. Unless they fix the AC airflow problem in the front bedroom, I would not recommend booking this house if you need 3 bedrooms, as only 2 of them are inhabitable.
