Room was very modern and well equipped. Location was good to walk to North or South beach/bars attractions etc. plenty of parking, great staff and lots of breakfast choice. Even provided a complimentary bottle of wine for our anniversary

We had a wonderful stay at The Helaina. The room was amazing with a fantastic sea view and a super comfortable bed. The breakfasts were incredible and kept us full for most of the day. All the staff were really pleasant and friendly and made the whole visit an enjoyable experience.

Spotlessly clean, tidy and enjoyable to stay in. Staff always polite and helpful. Bedroom a nice size. Bathroom a bit cramped but perfectly acceptable. Shower door very stiff but ok once we got the hang of it. Shower itself a nice temperature and pressure.

Location, the rooms, the beds, the food,all the things you Hope to find when away from home, We just love staying here, and if we can't get in at the Helena, we won't go to Scarborough the staff play a big part in your stay, they are just so nice, and can't do enough for you, the rooms are all so compy, probley the best night sleep you will have away from your own bed, we have been going to the Helena, for many years, and although, you can't always get it the penthouse sweet is just perfect

Spotlessly clean, fluffy towels and quality bed linen. Wonderful location, very quiet with a fantastic sea view, worth the extra. Great breakfast which was cooked to order, so piping hot. Service was very friendly from check in to check out. As a lone female visitor, I felt very safe in both the room and the location.

Wonderful staff great breakfast owner was very friendly Tara and luki was wonderful and very efficient at breakfast check in check out and was on hand at all times if you needed anything lovely chat and that smile luki had Tara was very helpful chatty and lovely to us breakfast was amazing

Absolutely everything! Great choice of breakfasts on offer, all beautifully cooked and presented.
Luxuriosly comfortable bed, spotlessly clean linen and towels.
Especially loved sitting in the bay window with the panoramic view of the bay.

A long weekend stay.
The Helaina is in a good location on North Bay. The property is lovely and cleean and we requested the double seaview room. The staff are all lovely and helpful. The breakfast is excellent

Arrived on the Tuesday- left on Friday morning. Accommodation was beautiful, clean and the room we stayed in spacious, with an amazing view over North Bay.
All staff very friendly and catered to all our requirements.
Breakfast each morning was delicious and plenty of variety.
Loved our stay and can’t wait to be back. All aspects pitched to a high standard.

Decided at the last minute that we could do with a bit of sea air. As luck would have it, a room with a sea view was available at the Helaina. We booked online on their own website, which was very straight forward. Check in was smooth, easy and friendly. Covid procedures were excellent, well explained, and well followed by all the staff we saw.

Enjoyable stay with friendly staff and great choice of food. Comfortable bed and very clean room. View across the north bay was a bonus. Spacious and pleasant eating area
Peasholm park about a10 min. walk away which we enjoyed walking around. We spent one day in Whitby using the local bus, although the time table is sometimes rather hit and miss.

Excellent service and attention to detail. Room very comfortable, especially the bed - we have been to many hotels and had bad nights due to bad beds. Breakfast was excellently cooked and the menu choice good.

Fantastic room with a sea view. Nice to be able to wake up to see the sea from your bed and what a view. The room was clean, classy and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was in a very good spot to explore Scarborough.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed by Kerry. We had a perfect room overlooking the sea with everything we needed. The lounge and dining areas were inviting and comfortable, spotlessly clean and well laid out. Breakfast service and quality and selection were excellent (and yummy!). Car parking arrangements were effective and convenient.
