Beautiful and warm architecture. The sauna and tub were a plus!

Driving in after dark, the house stood tall on the hill, all the lights were on, and it was really welcoming. This house was set up perfectly for our active outdoor family of six. The mudroom where we could take off snowy clothes and shoes is perfectly situated away from the living areas, avoiding drafts. The kitchen is good and easy for the family to cook and gather together. It is set up well for basic cooking; most cookware was old and very used, but the tableware was great, and we set a very nice table. Staples were unreliable due to finding aged expiration dates on packaged foods left in the cupboard, so we bought our own. We would have liked more dishwashing soaps and kitchen towels for cleanup. We used it all up and had to supplement other supplies at the house. After a long day of skiing, the sauna and hot tub were the keys for recovery to get back at it the next day. Beautiful wood throughout, clean, very comfortable, and lots of windows. Luckily the roads were clear to the house, but we did need 4wd to navigate the very steep driveway. Lots of snow and slippery walk to the house need great caution, but we didn't have much issue, and the kids had a great time sledding on the property and up the street at the park by the pond. We look forward to visiting again.

Sky High Ranch 33 was truly lovely. So well maintained, clean, spacious, great floor plan with lots of room for 2 families, the hot tub and sauna (although we did not use this much) were perfect, and a very well stocked kitchen (appliances and cookware). We had never stayed away from Bear Valley and this was a great first experience even though we had an epic snowfall our first night there. The only thing that I would suggest is better Wifi. It was actually a problem for a few of us who needed to work, and teenagers who need to stream constantly! That definitely needs an upgrade. But other than that I HIGHLY recommend this property!

Amazing stay! Beautiful and well maintained house with tons of useful kitchen equipment! Bear Valley staff was super helpful and friendly. We can't wait to come back. Would be nice if the house was better equipped with flashlights and candles in case of a power outage.

My son, his wife and my friend from New York City had a fabulous time. We have stayed at Bear Valley before but this was the most well-cared for and lovely cabin we have rented so far. Nice house, with great amenities, 4WD is not necessarily needed but you need to be a experienced comfortable driver with 2WD. The Driveway requires some winter skill.

Our family of 4 stayed at the house for 4 nights this summer, using it as a base to explore the area. We were pleasantly surprised when got there - some of the photos didn't do it justice. It was spacious, in great shape, well equipped. The location was great - a 1 minute walk to the nearby pond and hiking trails. Quiet, and just a minute drive from HWY 4, which got us to all the nearby Lake we wanted to explore on kayaks. The hot tub was nice to have as well, and there was even a Sauna room downstairs which we haven't even tried. The checkin/out with BVVR was quick and easy, and they were also very responsive and communicative before, so that was good too. Overall is definitely a keeper, and we hope to come back there soon!
