My husband is from Kansas and I was looking for a place for the family to stay with us during my son’s wedding in Hiddenite. Ollie’s Hideaway was such a wonderful experience for us all! We enjoyed being able to get much needed rest and fellowship in beautiful surroundings. We are hoping to book again for more family getaways!

It’s just a fabulous property…..so very spacious, clean, decorated/furnished nicely. Lake access was perfect. You will not regret booking this property!!!

This place was perfect for a weekend celebration. The weather cooperated as well. This allowed for a bonfire by the lake, grilling, and enjoying the wonderful view of the lake.

This house was amazing and we had a blast!

This home was very private and tucked away with lake access. It is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need! We had 6 adults and one child with us and all were comfortable and able to spread out! The only down side was that it wasn’t wheelchair accessible for dad… he had to stay downstairs entire trip and everyone else was upstairs.😞 We couldn’t discern the layout from listing. Other than that, we enjoyed our time.😎

Excellent house on Lake Hickory. Large common spaces with views, multiple decks and a nice kitchen.
Bedrooms were large and comfortable. Michael was great to work with.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ollie's Hideway, super clean, very nice property that we'd highly recomend staying at. Mike the property manager was very helpful and the check in process was too easy. We'll gladly stay at this property down the road again, 5 Stars!

The place was clean and there was so much space. We rented the house for family out of town who were here for a family event. There were plenty of supplies, the kitchen was stocked, the lake was beautiful, and the host were very responsive. We enjoyed it very much and highly recommend it to family/friends.

We really enjoyed out time at Ollie’s Hideaway. The house was super clean, well laid out and the little things were all thought of. The location is very convenient and on a great, quiet street. Hope to be able to return!

Everything about this property was great. The owner and property manager were so accommodating. The home was conveniently located, very well appointed and the beds were comfortable. After staying in a number of properties we were so happy to have: plenty of nice linens and towels, kitchen dishes and utensils, spices and condiments, cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, fun board games, lots of books, air hockey, foosball, movie theater, lawn games and a basketball hoop. The property has a little something for everyone to enjoy their time there. We felt right at home. We highly recommend investing in this property for a special time away with family or friends.

The house was exactly what we needed for a long weekend to have a celebration of life for our dad. The Kitchen was so well equipped with nice appliances and high quality cookware. Coffee on the screened porch was the best!!

We fully enjoyed our time at this home. It was a last minute opportunity to get my family together and this fit the bill perfectly. Likely a little bigger than we needed but enjoyable nonetheless. All aspects of the house were easily determined. I particularly enjoyed the lack of negative rules I get a lot of at other VRBO‘s. My sense is that the owner really wanted people to just enjoy the house and property. Check in and check out was super easy. I would stay here again in a minute. Thx

Family Celebration of Life
Ollie's Hideaway is a wonderful getaway in the woods on Lake Hickory. If you want to unwind in a beautiful, peaceful setting with access to Lake Hickory, this is the place. There is ample living, entertaining room and it was the perfect spot for my famly to gather and enjoy one another. Great kitchen, fully stocked! Wonderful entertainment for all ages with game room and theater room.
