Overall we loved staying here but the kitchen wasn't stocked with anything (like cooking spray), the stove was broken, and there were ants all over the kitchen which ruined some food. The backyard was great, and beds comfy, except for the twins. The kids said the beds were too hard to sleep on

This house was great for our family! The kids enjoyed the foosball table and there was plenty of space to spread out and relax. The walk to the beach is really quick!

We decided to make an ODU orientation into a quick beach vacation and were pleased with the Beach Bungalow! My husband, three of my adult daughters and myself stayed in the house comfortably. Another adult daughter and her boyfriend spent a day with us and we had plenty of room! The walk to the beach was short and convenient. We made a quick walk to a local coffee shop too!!
The decor was updated and modern. The outdoor space is amazing but is was too blisteringly hot for us to use it this trip. Next time!

Cute cottage with beachy vibes. Walk to nwarest beach for sunrise/set views. Grocery store nearby. Easy drive to VA beach. We had an amazing stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this location. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the kitchen had pretty much all we needed to make meals. We appreciated being able to use the beach cart to lug our chairs and fishing gear to the beach. I personally enjoyed quiet mornings sipping coffee on the porch, or working out under the pergola in the back yard. It was really great to be within walking distance of the beach, of the grocery store and to some restaurants.
The cons for us personally were that the beds are low (my dad was travelling with us and he has some mobility issues, so he had a hard time getting out of bed), and that the tv did not have "normal" cable, and it was mounted at the ceiling in the living room (so we found it uncomfortable to watch, and the smart tv was too challenging for my technologically inept dad to use). So the cons were really due to our personal circumstances. It's hard for Canadians to not be able to watch hockey while on vacation lol.

We were at a different location than we originally booked. I am not sure how to rate the place shown since we weren't there. The alternative home we did stay in was very nice, on the beach and easy to get to everywhere.

The host was very responsive and accommodating. The house is much larger than it looks from the street. If you drive a larger car, the parking can be a bit of an issue. We parked our SUV on the street. My only complaint would be with the towels. They were microfiber and definitely left you feeling wet... if this would be an issue for you, I would recommend bringing your own. Otherwise, this property is close to the beach, close to a grocery store, and several restaurants -- and it is listed for a fair price.

The property is within easy walking distance to a walkable beach. It was quiet. The mattresses were comfortable.
It was in need of a good "spring cleaning". Lacked good towels and had some animal odor in one area. The gas was empty so we couldn't enjoy the outdoor fire area. I did not report this to the owner as there wasn't time to fix it for us to enjoy it. I did correspond with her about something else and she was responsive.

Broken blinds, dirty carpet going downstairs, broken toilet seat, empty propane tanks, ants on kitchen counter, smoke alarm missing in kitchen. Entire house needs thorough cleaning.

This is the perfect little get away close to the beach and pier with all of the amenities that you could ever need it made our stay in Norfolk as close to perfect as you can get.

The bungalow was nicely remodeled and updated, very clean, well-maintained and well-stocked. Katrina was a very responsive host. We had a great time playing pickleball in Norfolk, visiting Virginia Beach and attending a beautiful wedding in Suffolk. There is a lot to do within close proximity including the Norfolk Botanical Garden and the Norfolk Zoo. Katrina also left great recommendations for restaurants!

I booked this property for a surprise date night weekend with my boyfriend. The outdoor gazebo with the firepit table allowed us to continue our night later than we expected. Katrina went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our stay. I couldn't thank her enough! I will definitely be back!

We had a very nice stay at this beach bungalow. It was centrally located for our visit to Old Dominion University and a visit to Virginia Beach. The home was clean and comfortable with a foosball table, cornhole, and other games to keep us busy in the evening. The check in and check out process couldn’t have been easier. The host communicated very clearly, in detail, and was quick to respond to my messages. All in all we had a terrific stay. Thank you!

This cute little cottage was what I needed. Some much needed relaxation and only 1 block from a nice calm, quiet beach. I sat in the comfortable Egg chairs on the front porch each morning having my coffee and reading. So glad for the fenced in back yard for my dog to go out in. When laying on the quiet calm beach we even got an airshow from the US Navy at Naval Station Norfolk Va. They flew right over us and it was exciting. Since I was in the Navy myself. The location of this cottage is just 1 block from a grocery store, restaurants and liquor store. A friend who grew up close to here also recommended a great restaurant Azalea Inn Bar and Grill just 12 minutes away. It's Italian and Greek food and some of the best pizza I've ever had. Also had a great breakfast at Karlas Restaurant, just a few miles down the main beach road. The owner, Katrina, was so wonderful. When I had a question, sent through VRBO messaging, she would answer right away. So glad I got to stay here.

Super enjoyable stay! House is very comfortable. Fluffy towels, well equipped kitchen, tons of fun games! Really adorable decor, cozy but spacious, a perfect balance. Host is quick to respond, cheerful, helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Our family enjoyed our time at Ocean View. Super cute and comfy home and very clean. Nice quiet area within walking distance of stores, restaurants, beach and parks. The only downside was construction going on at the beach closest to the house so we did end up driving down the road to another park for beach access though you could still go to the beach directly across the street and we did every morning and evening with our dogs. Even a great dog park a few blocks away. We enjoyed the concert and wine and beer festival at the park across the street. Drove to Waterfront Park in Norfolk for a day which was only 20 minutes away. Lots to do but out of the way of the VA beach crowds! Loved it!

Great Beach Vacation
Great communication with the owner. Sara Konstant beach is only a 5 minute walk away. It was not crowded and we had a great day using the beach gear that was available at the house (umbrella, chairs, beach towels). Nicely upgraded house. If you like hiking, First Landing State Park is a good place to go for moderate hiking (mostly flat). Virginia Beach is about 30 minutes away. It is very busy. I preferred the quiet relaxation at Sara Konstant beach.

Perfect getaway
This home was so much more than the pictures portray. It was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The hosts make sure you need for nothing, angry communication was excellent.Great location to walk to beach, grocery store a block away and quiet neighborhood.
Coffee relaxing on the front porch in the morning and peaceful evenings in the gazebo in the back yard.

Awesome location, great parking, clean comfortable house with everything we needed and more.
It’s a block from the bay and 30 minutes to VA Beach. Restaurants and grocery store within walking distance. We drove into VA beach one day and then decided we liked the beaches close to the house better. They are clean and not crowded or commercial.
We hope to return in the future!

This property far exceeded our groups expectations. The location is great, only a few minute walk to a perfect little low population area on the beach. Both days we stayed we had a huge chunk of beach completely to ourselves! The house was very clean and there were lots of games in the common room for the group to play. The backyard fire pit was amazing! Even has a mosquito net so you aren’t dealing with bugs the whole time. Everyone in our group absolutely loved this property and it was super kid friendly as well!

Perfect place for family
Kat’s place was exactly what we needed for our stay near the beach. It is beautifully decorated and also came with everything we needed (and then some) for a comfortable stay with our 3 month old baby and dogs. Walking distance to the beach as well as a good coffee shop and the grocery store. The nearby beach was not crowded and also had minimal waves which will be perfect for when our girl is a little older and we stay here again!

We had a very specific purpose for our 10 hour roadtrip to Norfolk, VI: to take our nearly 14 year old Labrador to swim in the ocean for the first time. And swim she did! This place is a perfect short distance, 3 blocks to a not-very-crowded public beach that is dog friendly. We were able to take our big non-water dog to the beach before 10am each day for a walk. My partner and I both worked remotely in the home during the day and would get our lab in the water in the evening after 6. The water is shallow (a big sandbar in the Oceanside closest to the home was awesome for her) and the sand is soft. Grocery is one block away and in our 5 day stay, we walked there 4 times to get things to eat, drink, cook, snacks, etc. So convenient. The beds are very comfortable. The home is very clean and cool. The fenced in yard was awesome to have for the pups. Host communicated everything.
