Things are runner down in Chartres, lots of stores closed and abandoned. Properties not well kept and the hotel is a reflection of that. Elevator was broken, wall trims damaged, it was sad to see

Very accommodating staff and elegant ambiance set a positive tone for our stay. Proximity to the Cathedral, excellent restaurants, and the historic center of Chartres was ideal. The suite was spacious and well appointed, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. At night our room was a bit noisy, and the stairways required to access our room were cumbersome to navigate with bags. Mold in the shower was a bit off-putting.

Lovely stay- staff excellent, spa a welcome treat after long flight, breakfast lovely and location provided great access to cathedral and downtown. Rooms and bathrooms well appointed. Would stay again.

Lovely place so close to the centre and the Cathedral. The staff were amazing with valet parking. Room was lovely with a bath which is quite unusual in France. Lovely very cosy bar (it was cold outside) with great service

I've stayed here many times over the years as a stop over whilst driving down to the Lot & Dordogne and its a charming and beautiful property with delightful and helpful staff.
As a guest with a Gluten Sensitivity the food options were not very impressive though for a property of this calibre, certainly in the year 2023.

Such a cool hotel but our room was so tiny we could barely move around in it. Last time we stayed there they gave us a huge room with a huge bathroom. This time, our bathroom was the size of a closet and there wasn’t anywhere to lay out our suitcases or toiletries. The decor is beautiful and I would totally stay there again. But I’ll make sure I ask for a larger space!

We had a shower the next morning and the water did not drain and we were afraid it would spill out and over. We reported it and nothing was done for us and the inconvenience of the still water for when my husband had to shower after me.

Family holiday in the south, so cut the homeward journey up with a stop over at this lovely hotel. Staff and facilities were excellent, room was outstanding (must have been good as even the teenagers were impressed)

I booked for three persons at 15:00 pm. We arrived at the hotel around 21:30. But they did not have a room available with another bed. It took at least half an hour before they could organize that. Lovely hotel in the city centre within walking distance of the cathedral. Plenty of restaurants nearby. We ate in the hotel as we were only there for one night and the food was ok but prices were a bit over the top, however we later saw the bar did a selection of meals which we would use next time.

Great service, convenient location to cathedral and medieval ares of city but surrounded by modern shops, banks and post office. Great service. We asked about better lighting for bedtime read in and within three and a half minutes there was a lamp cheerfully delivered to our room. Good laundry service. Great breakfast, good Brasserie and ferric George’s dining room.
