It seems you need to update bathroom, and no just pieces and parts. For example, the floor has tile from way back, then some that looks like it was the last piece, or part damaged. The sink set up has not changed, but the shower looked relatively new. However the shower door was not attached, as if they had forgotten, though that leaked. Toilet should below use for water, instead of something for 1985. The carpet also showed wear. Just some of those fixes would go a long way toward giving better atmosphere.

Parking garage was not operating properly causing a long line and confusion. There were several signs stating there had been break-ins & thefts out of car - appreciate the heads up but was concerned about personal safety and protection of my car. Room was hot and the shower head was terrible.

Great location for Lincoln’s home NPS. Would like to have had a fridge automatically in the room, but one was delivered within an hour. Friendly staff!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pres. Abraham Lincoln Springfield. It had been a while since my husband and I could get away for a short trip. We explored the area and did some historical sightseeing. The facility was perfect. Walking distance to historical sights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean environment. Thank you all.

Not a safe place to stay. They don’t have parking and tells you to park at the public garage next to the hotel. Someone broke my car window and stole some of my stuff. Be careful!

Dated, musty can’t believe ever received above 2 stars. Always look forward to Doubletree but this was a huge disappointment. Immediate mold smell upon entering the room. Staff was very good but outweighed by the uncomfortable room. Won’t return to the Springfield Illinois Doubletree.

It had been a few years since we'd last stayed at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel. The property is appearing dated and they continue to have elevator issues based on other reviews. We experienced an issue with a clogged toilet, causing water to overflow onto the bathroom floor. After shutting the water off and calling at 12:30am, a security guard arrived with a plunger and four towels, said nothing and left. When checking out, we were not asked how our stay was and when I explained the toilet issue, I wasn't even offered as much as a parking voucher. The care for the property is paralleled by the care the staff puts forth. Needless to say, we won't be back to this hotel.

We had bed bugs. Confirmed by the hotel. They switched our room but the damage was done. We couldn’t sleep after that. They offered a free breakfast, but could not refund the room. I tried to check out early, but again they would not assist us.

We just needed a place to sleep and shower. Location was good for what we needed. First room the toilet did not flush and the tub drain did not drain but we had a refrigerator, by the way beds are small, second room the tub faucet would not shut off and the hair dryer did not work, and no refrigerator so everything we bought had to be put into a cooler. When asking for another hair dryer we were told, "maintenance will bring one up right away"...never came.
Staff was VERY NICE! First night people being arrested on the street, we had to park either on the street or in a parking garage right next door 2 floors down-a bit scary. Elevators were being worked on-thank God, they are old!

The service was excellent. Location is outstanding for us as we were in very short walking distance of all things Lincoln and other Downtown historic sites. Good foodie scene. Our room was comfortable and clean. The common areas are in need of a refresh, paint touch up and carpet. They are working on some things and going in the right direction

Spacious, clean and nice hotel. The staff was friendly and gave us an update for a room which had a refrigerator. So, please be advised that regular rooms don’t have refrigerator. The parking is also not free nor the breakfast.

There is minimal parking in front of the office. Check in seemed to take a long time. The facility was clean. The pool was quite nice.

Hotel in a great location for lincoln exhibits Comfy bed, average shower. Staff were very polite and friendly. Average breakfast. In room coffee maker and hair dryer did not work and toilet almost overflowed on first flush. Hotel a little tired

When asked for more coffee was told I can come down and get some. I inquired if we could get more for the maker in the room and was told that when housekeeping comes in at 0830 we could. It was 0800.
Also hair all over the shower and toilet looked dirty.

Rude staff, especially Sonja at the front desk. Property was run down. Elevators and ice machines frequently broke down. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Noisy air conditioner. Stained bed linens. Room not serviced each day. Hotel needs total refurbishment.
