A really nice property, glad i chose it for the convenience of the private beach. I expected the resort to be a lot busier due to it being summer holiday, but it wasn't and that helped make the atmosphere more relaxing. And the sun loungers weren't all taken! Our room was one of the Le Belle Alliance oceanfront rooms, perfect, with a good size balcony. I expected the room to be bigger, but still a good size. Absolutely loved the bed, soo comfortable. Free water in the fridge would have been nice. We ate at the Blues and Pen restaurants, good portion food, prices were a little high, food was good. And the cocktails, definitely wouldn't get the size or amount in this country. And then the spa, what a bonus having expedia discount. We had 4 treatments between us, very relaxing. Myra and Joelly were 👍 Willem and Kirrean were friendly and helpful. Shauntez always smiling and friendly at the Pen, also Michelle who was very helpful to us with our table bookings. Thanks to Donna at breakfast. Ronald who was always smiling and friendly in the reception area, and Xavier who helped with our check-out requests. And finally thanks to Eugene the shuttle driver, for the smooth running and air conditioned ride to and from town. Would definitely go back to Avila Beach Hotel.

The staff were amazing! They upgraded our room free of charge and were so kind. The pool and beach steps from your door are incredible. It's a quick walk to cafes and restaurants.

Our stay was perfect and we feel like we stated the best hotel on the island. The beach was amazing, the room was clean and modern, and the staff was very friendly.

Staying at the Avila was nothing short of amazing! The Hotel is centrally located to shopping and dining! The hotel and beach are beautiful! The staff, food/drinks and ambiance were phenomenal! I will definitely be back!

Great property will be back

Quiet, well maintained property. Food was very good and the beach area had plenty of shaded spots to set in. The one thing that they did not have is face clothes in the bathroom or extra spots to set things and store things like a dresser of even somewhere to put soap in the shower. These are very minor issues because overall the hotel was excellent.

Brilliant location - few places have a private beach this close to the town. Staff are very helpful. Good food and some good restaurants just outside the hotel entrance. Recommend!

Beautiful beaches, plenty of shady spots, nice pool. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Nice selection at the breakfast buffet. The Saturday BBQ night was lackluster and wouldn’t do again. The Blues restaurant has amazing food, staff, and views! The room was clean, comfortable, had great AC, and the bed and bedding were wonderful, way more comfortable than most hotels. We could easily walk out to the beach from our Alliance Oceanfront room. Would highly recommend Avila for your trip to Curaçao!

Property was well kept

Visiting The Avila Resort and Spa was delightful. It was just the getaway I needed. The facilities and grounds were immaculate. My room was very well-appointed, with a nice view of the ocean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They made me feel like part of the family. Xavier was excellent and was my go-to while there. He was very personable and made me feel right at home. The young man who served as my bellhop on arrival was very kind and greeted me each time he saw me. Sharnon (Sp) at the Blues was very accommodating and friendly! He was my server on both nights I visited. I can't say enough about my stay at Avila. I can't wait to return.

We immediately fell in love with the resort and Curacao!

This is one of the BEST hotels I have ever stayed! The service was BEYOND expectations. The who staff was so accommodating, kind, professional, and wonderful. The view was breathtaking from my balcony, the showers were quality, the room spacious, the Blues Restaurant unforgettable. I can go on and on. I was sad to leave Curaçao not just for my experience on the island but how much I enjoyed my time at Avila and all the beautiful people I met. This historic hotel is the best on the island.

The property is very nice and located in the center of everything. The property has a pool, private beach and ocean access. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to your questions and needs. The cons for this property are: Overly priced gift shop for water and snacks. Not a large selection on buffet and not a wide variety of food selection on their menu. If you’re there for a week you can try everything on the menu. Now as far as the quality, quantity and the taste of the food it’s a thumbs up. Good size portions.

Hotel was beautiful. Well maintained. Loved the 2 private beaches. Plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Big pool. I liked all the restaurants on premises. They have a shuttle service to downtown. Two times a day. Nice rooms. Safe on the room. Toiletries. Make sure you verify with the reservation with the hotel if you are 2 people like me (mother & daughter) and you request a 2 queen bed room!!! I requested that on Expedia, sending a message to the hotel and I got a room with a King bed, and they brought a twin bed to the room. But over all experience was very nice. I do recommend this hotel.

This place was amazing perfect for families with toddlers. Walkable distance from restaurants and shops. Staff was nice the room amazing service was great and good dinning options. It has everything you need if you don’t want to leave. The beach is perfect we went to a few other local beaches and all agreed our hotels beach was the best. Great stay in Curacao

Avila was great and I would recommend it to other travelers. The locks on our sliding glass doors were broken but maintenance came right up and fixed them. They also had live music which was one of the highlights of our stay. The musicians were so incredibly talented. The other highlight of our stay was the private beach. There are actually 2, but we only used one. The water was calm, clear, and warm and the beach is set up with chairs and cabanas. It's so incredibly calm. The breakfast buffet at The Pen was not great. The food was cold but the staff took it right off the bill when asked without argument. They were very sweet about it. We were told that Avila is walking distance to downtown, which consists of Willemstad and the Peitermaai District....it's not. It's right down the road, but not walking distance. Not for us, at least. Peitermaai was about a 5 minute drive and Willemstad was about a 10 min drive. Not terrible, but for us, not walking distance. The area surrounding the hotel wasn't awful, but wasn't safe-seeming enough for us (2 girls) to walk around alone, especially at night. The front desk staff were ok. They weren't the friendliest but they weren't rude. They greeted us with a really good non-alcoholic welcome drink. And there was water in the lobby but most of the time it either wasn't out or their weren't any cups. Overall, the live music and the private beaches would prompt me to recommend this to travelers.

This is a lovely property. Our beachfront apartment was gorgeous, the breakfast was delicious (mimosas included!) and we enjoyed both beaches. The pool is nothing special but our kids still loved it. Our only complaint was they attempted a bit of a bait and switch on our room. We reserved a beachfront 2 bedroom. When we arrived, they "upgraded" us to a 3 bedroom non beachfront. The apartment was amazing ... but not on the beach. We had to wait two days to get moved into the apartment we had originally reserved. This left a bad taste in our mouths from an otherwise lovely trip.
