We requested a king room and were given a room with two twin beds instead. For reference in the attached photo I am 5'2 135lbs, there is no way this is a queen bed. There was no hot water for our entire stay (3 days/nights) and we had to leave and go to a new hotel so we could shower. The front desk supervisor was useless. After reading reviews later found out the hot water issue has been going on for years.

It was SO cold in the room and you couldn’t control the thermostat. I stood in room 730. Also only one elevator was working. Not good.

I came for an overnight stay to catch a flight from midway the next morning. The lobby was nice and customer service was excellent. Danielle was extremely courteous and made sure we had every thing we needed. The rooms were outdated and need a serious update. Overall, the stay was good for what I needed.

Wonderful as always, great staff fun to talk to honestly , and even if there havin a bad day they still smile and give great energy, really really good people here, room is always clean and the towels are pretty soft …saving the best for last THE COOKIES!!! The best chocolate chip walnut cookie I’ve ever had!. I come to the Double Tree for 2 main reasons 1. Awesome staff 2. COOKIES!!!

Doubletree did a fantastic job renovating and making the Lobby area pristine! However, when the elevators open on the upper levels, the smell of mold hits you in the face. The first room we were booked in looked as though someone had already slept n the bed. It was made but it was very sloppy. The shower head didn't work at all, and it wasn't until we were unpacked that we realized this. I tried to call the front desk and realized the phone didn't work either. The second room looked the same, so maybe they allow sloppy room service...not sure. All in all, I will never stay here again for $170/night.

Room furniture is a bit outdated. Clothes drawer were out of aligned. Bathroom wallpaper in peeling off. 1/2 Tub caulking was missing (wear and tear)? Missing tv remote was noticed upon entering the room.
Location, lobby, breakfast area, front desk gets a solid 4. Staff are friendly and assisted well.

There was a wedding on the ground floor with the bass going through the whole hotel until late at night. No fridge in the room as well as no conditioner. Takes a while for anybody at front desk to answer calls and eventually they say theyll look into it but nothing happens

It was the staff who made the experience exceptional! The bar tender (Ana) was the first person we talked to, and she was enthusiastic in all the right ways. Frederick checked us in and was helpful, friendly, and professional. Cheryl the manager (?) went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, too!
If not for these people, our experience would have been fair. Although the hotel was very clean, it could use some updating in the rooms. There was a crack in the sink, and wallpaper was peeling in various places in the hallway and room, for example. It’s due for a refresh.
The staff, though, made me glad I picked this hotel in particular!

Booked a suite. No suite. Didn’t get a refund. . Had to pay for another booking which was supposed to be at a discounted rate , yet it didn’t reflect. Still charged the full amount. As well as the room being relatively lack luster for a king.
Not to mention the top floor was saturated with mildew and mold all over the carpet.
Staff tried to hook it up but man the overall experience was just too negative… wont be coming back ever.

The rooms were really awful: the carpet was clearly permanently stained and clearly dirty, the mattress was surprisingly uncomfortable, with a bowl-like divit in it. In the bathroom, the paint was peeling badly from the ceiling, the tub drained so poorly that by the end of a short shower I was standing in dirty, soapy water higher than my ankles. The grout was peeling up and pitted in the bathroom as well. The alarm clock could not be set at all, so had the wrong time. The tv remote was so sticky that its keys stuck in when pressed. In the lobby, the couch seats are so badly stained we didn't want to sit. The soft drinks sold by the front desk are wildly expensive, and there is NO room service at all without 24 -hour notice, yet I see I can tip the cleaning staff who never came to clean or even leave towels by QR code. We've come every year for business and have seen this hotel dive in quality; we won't be back next year.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at your hotel. I had a reservation for 2 days, but upon arrival, I was informed that the reservation system was suspended due to a Cloudstrike issue.
Despite this significant inconvenience, I was not informed beforehand, and even when I arrived at the hotel, I was assured that manual check-ins would be possible after 4 PM. However, this promise was not fulfilled.
This experience was especially disheartening because my customer recommended your hotel due to its convenient location to their office. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and hospitality from your staff has left a negative impression.
Due to this experience, I am hesitant to stay at DoubleTree or any Hilton group hotels in the future. I expect better service and transparency from a reputed hotel chain.
I would appreciate it if you could address this issue and provide an explanation or compensation for the inconvenience caused.

Great place for multiple families to stay. Hotel is a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Many common places to gather and chat. Staff very helpful and friendly. Recommend this hotel if you need to stay in the area.

Did not stay here due to them over booking and me and my niece were left with no where to go and had to drive 2 hours to finally get a hotel to stay at in middle of the night. I am just hoping for a refund soon.

The day we checked was the day of the microsoft outage. This shut down the hotel staff's ability to use their "system" to check us in. The staff was very resourceful to develop a manual process for getting everyone checked in. They were also very empathetic of our situation and worked very hard to make everyone as comfortable as possible while we waited to check in.

A special thanks to Crystal at the front desk who was handling check ins on Friday with the global it outage. They could not access their reservations. She had lines of guests who were not happy. She never loss her professionalism given the gravity of the situation. They were sold out as systems were still booking. They had people fill out paperwork in line to expedite the process of handling it all manually. I feel like she did a fantastic job.

We were greeted and treated with a very polite worker who made sure we had everything we needed, explained where and how everything in the hotel worked. Food in the restaurant/bar was excellent. Will definitely go back

Me and my husband check in to a king suite with balcony the room was super small the door lock was broken so I was unable to secure lock the room. The balcony was a mess and dirty! They should really invest in balcony furniture instead of just concrete. I went to take a shower the water came out yellow I had to run it for at least 5 minutes before clearing! Please do not take the stairs out it was dirty and creepy I was honestly shocked being in oak brook. Cookies was good though and the staff was great as we checked in.
