Food services were just Okay. No full restaurant services. No room delivery. Parking seems an unnecessary overcharge.

I got the property higher scores than normal only because the breakfast attendant in the club lounge was very personable and made the stay enjoyable. I feel the hotel needs some upgrades like smart TVs with access to one’s own Netflix account, etc. That is almost standard even in little towns or Mexico hotels that I visit often for vacation.

We picked this hotel for its location close to UCSD campus.
The garden is beautiful and well kept but the rooms need updating.
We liked that we were able to walk our dog and relax on the chairs on the lawn.

the shower gel was empty and not refilled for our 2nd night but the beds were comfortable, it was quiet and right next door to whole foods starbucks and an array of food & shopping outlets

1. Ask for a garden view - but make sure that it is NOT overlooking the swimming pool

3. You have to walk quite a distance to get to an elevator - and the layout of the hotel is not intuitive

There was a lot of traffic and construction right outside the condo in the shopping areas and getting to the freeway, but this hotel is beautiful and has a great lawn area to sit and relax, coy ponds and is in a great location. Will stay here again for sure.

I’ve stayed here several times and each time they’ve given me a room facing their parking lot. It’s an ugly view and makes it feel like you’re staying in a cheap motel. Not only that, but everyone walking in the parking lot can see right into your room if you have the blinds open. Not sure if I’ll be booking here again. It could also be that if you book through Hotels.com then they’ll give you their ugliest rooms facing the parking lot. The property itself is nice and well maintained.

This is a great place to stay. However, if you are driving and parking at the hotel, beware that depending on how booked the hotel is, the parking may be difficult. I arrived at 9:00 pm on a Saturday, and had to wait like a vulture for someone to leave, because there were no places. They have these mobile mini storage units surrounding the parking lot for some reason. Maybe that is the reason for the lack of parking spaces. And oh, by the way, you have to pay for parking. It was over $50 for two nights.

Convenient location near UCSD and the freeway, with lots of food nearby. But rooms in our building had a noisy fan by the window, motel-style, which could not be turned off, and the bed and pillows were hot and lumpy. Noise from the parking lot also. You’ll definitely need your earplugs!

Booked a room here for a procedure at a nearby hospital. Love the room and the amenities included. Only thing is it’s a long walk (for a PWD) from the street to the facility though it has ramps for people with physical disability. Nice area as well as it’s close to other stores/ restaurants. Will always consider this for future plans.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Check in stated to be at 3pm however it was not ready until about 4:30pm. They offered free parking while we waited. Our stay included breakfast, however when I ordered it to be delivered for room service, was told I could use the voucher. Looks like the person who assisted just didn’t know how the voucher breakfast worked. Also they lost my order and had to reorder about an hour later. Staff was very nice and included free beverages.

This is the second time that we have stayed at this hotel. They have really done a good job keeping the place up and one reason we chose this location is the convenience of the shopping center next-door, which can be access through a private gate on one end of the property. There is a Whole Foods, several restaurants and a CVS, so it’s very easy to find the things you need on a trip.

i really had an amazing time in here with my family. i loved the room. we didn’t have hot water and as soon as we told the staff they came and help us. the pool area is amazing and so pretty with the trees. the restaurant was conveniently and really good. you can also walk to whole foods and some fast food

The pool was not clean and filled to the brim with guests one night. There should be better control of the number of users and water quality, both my husband and kid got ear infections after swimming there. Not me since I did not swim. Room was dark, buildings quite old, room coffee was atrocious and there was no laundry room. Staff was great and the courtyard was nice with fragrant flowers and palm trees.

We had an amazing time. The pool is truly beautiful, just like the photo. Shopping and food is a simple walk away. There was a $50 amenities fee upon check-in which I was already prepared for, since everyone in San Diego seems to do it this way. The full amount was refunded a few days after the trip. Overall, it was a surprisingly relaxing family vacation, and we were completely happy.
