Very poor sleep quality as no A/C room stuffy opened small window and had lots of traffic noise , the hotel didn’t have a fan,
Room very dated possibly not ever been updated since it was built,
Holes in curtains, heavily stained carpet, very dated bathroom .
Hotel didn’t recognise my Hotels.com platinum card, so no upgrade, or late check out .

Location is definite plus. The hotel's central location makes it easy to explore the city on foot. While the location is convenient, the hotel's amenities leave something to be desired. The limited number of elevators can lead to long wait times, especially during peak hours.
The chaotic and uninformed behaviour of the staff could not be overlooked. This was particularly evident during breakfast, where basic items like cups and forks were frequently missing. There were enough people there, but I had the feeling they were running without a plan. The check-out process was also disorganized, with staff seemingly unaware of the charges associated with the room.
While the hotel's location is a strong point, the subpar service and limited amenities make it difficult to recommend.

It was rated 4stars and I would say it’s 2stars, has no fridge in the room, no parking spot was available, the lift takes forever, the room is quite plain and the sofa bed was to small.

Nice hotel with comfortable beds. We had issues with our first room as it smelt of stale tobacco. We also had issues with our room key. Would not work and we had to revisit reception. On check out they waived our parking fee as a bit of service recovery. Breakfast was good, with hot items.

It is conveniently located. It is a four star hotel. There was no hair dryer in the room (mini suite). Not enough towels. It was nice to get an early check in, although I had to press for it.

Probably once a great hotel. But not at the moment. In the room several light switches not working, bathroom door knob falling off when turned, pipes protesting when shower turned on. At breakfast, reasonable choice but items not kept stocked up. No bowls for cereals, no glasses for juice, no bananas on the majority of days I was there.

Very disappointing hotel. Some of the rooms are renovated, others not. Room and hotel is clean, but no working climate control for a 10th floor room facing the sun and a tiny window onto a busy street and construction site. It was an average October day but the room was extremely warm. If staying here, insist on a room facing the quiet side street and check that the AC works.

Great hotel, walkable to lots of attractions, friendly and helpful staff. Nice towels, clean rooms. Great breakfast. Whoever is the owner or in charge of the upkeep, please change your carpets!! This’s a beautiful hotel on a great location. Your carpets are old and stained and give your hotel an unkempt appearance. Just change them to hardwood floors so you won’t have to deal with stains. Other than that you’re doing good!

This is a great hotel to stay in its in the perfect place in Ljubljana just a few minutes walk to all the main shopping streets, Castle and the Bridges. The staff here are brilliant and very helpful and for us the bonus was we could safely park our motorcycle in the underground car park. The hotel is lovely and clean great food choice for breakfast just could not fault it and just across the road from Tivoli Gardens beautiful.

My room had a musty smell and the carpet was stained. For the money spent, I was disappointed.

Breakfast had lots of choices but was difficult to find seating when it was busy as the staff were slow at clearing the tables.

Lidl poster attached to back of property. First room 1210 had window covered by the poster very dark. AC set to 19 in this room with possibility to move 2 above or 2 below. I asked to move room due to lidl poster issue. Then an odd game ensued. Return in 2 hours, return in 1 to 1.5 hours return in 0.5 hours. Eventually I got a new room with light. 518. AC in this room was set to 21 again with ability to change 2 either side. It was a hot room and the fan was useless. I was assured someone would look at it. Someone from front desk came but just told me it wasn’t working and the temp couldn’t be changed. He asked if I’d like a technician called, I said yes but a technician never came. VIP 15€ credit couldn’t be used as a sign was up on bar informing guests that no charges could be made to room numbers due to malfunction. An awful place with indifferent and rude staff who were unable or unwilling to provide any help.

Shouldn’t advertise that there’s a/c cause there wasn’t. When I first booked, it also advertised free parking. That’s not true either. The parking is 19€ a day and that doesn’t guarantee a spot. There’s only a handful of really tiny spots in their garage and it’s first come first serve.
Room service only filled our beds and replaced our linen. Floors weren’t swept (hard floors) and trash was never emptied. We stayed four nights and had to take our own trash out. The only redeeming factor is the breakfast that was included.

We stayed for 3 nights at the hotel and had only AC functioning for 1, and then it came on and off making our room extremely hot and consequently very difficult to sleep in (end of July). I told the different managers 4 times but nothing really happened. At one time they said a repairman would come from a different hotel to fix it, but he never showed. The lack of info is the worst, I only found out that he wouldn't come because I yet again went down to speak with them.
The hot water in our shower malfunctioned after one day and the rains somehow made the roof on floor 2 (of 12+) leak during breakfast. Kind of nasty having ventilation ducts drip water on your plate while eating.
The only thing making this hotel experience worth more than zero stars is that the manager during checkout, upon hearing our troubled stay, waived the parking fee.
But I'd rather be able to sleep to be honest..

Hotel Lev, a.k.a. ‘Exe Lev’, near the center of Ljubljana, has 4-star pretensions, on which it is unable to deliver. Part of its snob-appeal is its supposed ‘design’, which could be improved markedly by visiting any Marriott and taking a few notes. Rooms are small (this is Ljubljana, not Tokyo) while hallways are enormous. Even so, the AC was insufficiently powered to cool our room (that is after I had to MacGyver it to engage in the first place). Not enough elevators for the number of rooms means people are regularly waiting around in the lobby to ascend. The small bar serves bottled drinks and overpriced, stale snacks; there is no restaurant. Staff is pleasant, but inexperienced; for example, three people could not figure out that taking 10 minutes at checkout to settle our bill of 0.80 Euro might be an imposition on our schedule. In short, if you charge a big-money rate, you are expected to deliver the big-money service for which dubious architectural accents and adding ‘Exe’ to your name is not a substitute. Better training, and better maintenance, guys, and maybe reduce the price by half to match what you actually deliver. Ah, almost forgot, alone in this disappointment of facilities and management, the breakfast spread was truly magnificent.

Great hotel, but... I was staying for a night, and during check-in, I asked how parking was in the area. The guy at the front desk who was dealing with my check-in told me only that the parking in the hotel cost €19/day and that I could leave the car up-front. He could've also said that if I moved the car close by, it'd be free because it was a Sunday. I asked how parking was in the area, and not necessarily in the hotel... Or he could've at least offered me to park in the garage to protect the car from sunlight. I'm nit-picking, but given I paid so much for parking after asking this I think it'd be the right thing to ask (what you prefer) if you care about hospitality as much as making money.

overpriced hotel for what they offer. Bathroom was disgusting. I booked premier room for hogher price and as you can see photos that what we can get. It´s old hotel near city center that all. For that price you can have better hotel more in center. But bed was very confy and all personal was very nice.

A very good hotel in all respects. However, when we booked the hotel facilities description was mis leading. The profile stated that breakfast was 'available', and elsewhere is suggested that it cost 15 euro surcharge. On the booking thread there was nowhere to include breakfast. When we checked in, a notice was displaying that ALL rooms are inclusive of breakfast. The breakfast was excellent with hot and cold choices. Lifts very busy at breakfast time, as people/tour groups also checking out.
Our booking confirmation also gave a 15 euro beverage credit. We enquired at the bar, and the 15 euro could also be credited against food, although not a great variety of options. Main restaurant closed.
Hotel in good location, clean spacious rooms, good shower, effective controllable AC, high speed WiFi. Close to railway station.

The Hotel staff was super friendly, and they let me check-in in my room like an hour before! The hotel conditions were good, and even elegant, the room was clean and comfortable and we had a nice view of the city from our room. Also super close to the center of the city and in a nice area. For the prices it was the best option and I actually I can say that it was more than expected for the price.

The hotel is a walking distance from the city centre ,train and the bus stations.
The staff on the reception are very friendly and helpful especially Peter.

Overall, great stay. Breakfast buffet was great. 10 mins to 3 bridges, walking distance to everything. Front desk usually very helpful.
One issues did arise where there was no hot water between 2 days (just over 24 hours) within my 6 day stay. Although issues occur, I felt the hotel should have acknowledged the issue and inform when fixed, I mention to manager upon leaving they could have handled it better vs “it is what is - deal with it”.
The manager was very nice and assisted in me in getting a taxi as I scheduled the wrong shuttle day. (Oops)
I would stay here again, I had a great view, hotel staff were very nice.

It is not acceptable to stay 3 nights and have hot water only one night.
It is not acceptable that the room will not have a kettle for hot water. I called twice and receive the answer that the hotel is missing kettles in some rooms.
I demand a refund that will reflect the bad stay with this hotel.
The breakfast was very good and the cleaning was good only after I demanded to clean the room daily.
Sorry for this sad evaluation but it reflects the situation.
I asked for my silver benefits and the front desk manager said that he can only give me half off the parking rate. I am not a person that argue so I said OK and I paid half of the parking rate. In regards to the drink benefit if I did not bring it up I would never receive it.
Total evaluation is Sad and I will wait a refund before I go further.

Service was excellent. But do not go. The management has made limits of 19 C (66F) for heat and 27 C (81F) for air-conditioning. I was freezing my first night when it was 12C (52F), then outdoors was 27 (81F) my 2nd day, and in a high room it is even hotter. Staff, especially Peter, helped, by getting a radiator from another hotel for me the first night. By some luck, the air went below 27 (81F) even though it was set not to. But trust me - you are utterly unsafe here in summer or winter. You will be really way too cold or way too hot. Management must change this policy or lose this hotel! (PS - what a nice hotel if only they did not refuse any acceptable form of heat or air-conditioning).
