Staffs are friendly and very helpful. Opposite the hotel, there are fast food restaurants in the service station, it's very convenience to get the food when you feel hungry :-) Driving from the hotel to the city center takes about 15-20 minutes which is not that far away.

Great for a chesp overnight stay easy to find. Liked breakfast apart from getting hsm for toast and did not have choice for cereal.

Hotel is on a service area on m4 so very easy to find. Pleasant person on reception gave me my key. I was disappointed that there was no air con or fans provided, it was very hot and uncomfortable in the room. The window is only safety opening., and someone was smoking weed outside and it came straight in my window. The room was spacious, but the carpet was rather sticky next to the bed.Probably a spill. Could do with a good clean. I made sure I wasnt barefoot! Only one bedside light worked. Decor tired and shabby. Bed was very creaky. Big shower, plenty hot water.A hard chair and desk provided. I paid extra for breakfast, it was average buffet style,all you could eat, some sitting under heat lamps for some time,in serving pans with lids, so because of steam, hash browns very soggy, mushrooms like chewing elastic bands. Scrambled eggs a bit watery. Sausages were good but bacon very fatty not crisp. A good selection of cold items. But not good quality. Disappointing. Noisy rooms with firedoors slamming very early morning, contractors off to work.! Large car park. Don't think I'll use this one again.

Arrived late but welcome was good-room was right next to fire door to rooms so banging constantly through the night - bed very uncomfortable & pillows like bricks-cleaners not very considerate of those wanting a lie in & despite checkout being 12 they knocked the door twice to clean I won’t be using Ibis hotels again

Very noisy - could hear the next room talking, coughing, dog barking! And their tv. Rooms aren’t particularly comfortable- good size but hard floors and very basic and dated.

Again I stayed at this hotel to be told that there was limited menu either at dinner or breakfast due to a waiting delivery of food and drink. That's twice it's happened and impacts your stay. Not good. Staff were very good and room was as always clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay in Cardiff. The hotel is very convenient, just off of the motorway, with services next door. Our room was comfortable and although the twin beds were narrow and looked quite rickety they were surprisingly comfortable although creaky! We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment but the staff were lovely.

It was very basic but very clean the staff were polite but the bar was very poorly stocked very little choice of drinks and on asking at the bar for a coffee we were told to use the self service machine in restaurant room. Also could only get to Cardiff by using taxis which changed between £20 to £30 each way journey very exspensive. We will not be staying at this IBIS hotel again

Cardiff Castle

Standard hotel twin room. Clean and comfortable. Paid for breakfast but not worth £12, cold scrambled eggs, hard bacon but being a buffet you can have as much as you want. I would stay here again but wouldn’t bother adding breakfast.

An average stay. Hotel could do with some TLC and our room was not serviced the second although they had the opportunity. On the up side, a good breakfast.

Really cant fault the hotel, the staff were all friendly, attentive and very eager to please. We stayed for one night. The rooms were clean, quiet, and well equipped. The bed was quite firm for my taste, but comfy enough. The shower was a little under powered but did the job. Brekfast was adequate, not much mkre than that. Pool table in the bar was a nice addition.
