The hotel has a welcoming courtyard at the entrance. It's in a geat position just off the main plaza. Friendly and helpful staff especially Paola who was supervising at breakfast. Comfy bed and good pressure in the shower.

Desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms and linens are quite old. Breakfast area could have been cleaner, wooden chairs were quite dirty. Very few breakfast options to choose from. Location is amazing. If driving, parking is not easy and is a few streets away.

The cordial and helpful staff and excellent location are the highlights of this hotel, and now that I’ve gotten used to it I could imagine staying there again. However, this ranks so high on Expedia that I think it important to set realistic expectations. It is an old family-owned property that seems like it has hardly been touched since the 80s. That’s fine for me, but unfortunately my 1st room, and the 2nd room they moved me to, both had hair on the bathroom floor, and mildew and debris in corners and behind the toilet. Also the rooms are all very different, so be sure to scroll through all photos. I had expected the superior double that shows chairs facing a French door, but was first shown to a far different room with worn furniture and a plastic folding door for the bathroom, and it was still the same price as the nicer one shown in the pics. Breakfast isn’t very good — lots of sweets and a pumper full of liquid chocolate but hardly any fresh fruit (today 4 slices of melon for the entire dining room) and only processed wrapped cheese. There was a gluten-free tray with nothing on it either day, and some wieners and liquidy scrambled eggs. They are all so nice, however. This will hopefully sway you to give it a try, but now you know what to expect.

The hotel is lovely and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is also wonderful, close to restaurants and shops but still quiet feels secluded.

Perfect location and friendly staffs! Parking is 8 min walks,€12 per day. It is old fashion, not fancy, but it does the job with good price.

Beauty in simplicity. Room was fine and quiet. The surroundings were beautiful. I would like to go back to Assisi and stay at your hotel.

Staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Made us feel welcomed. Shower was a bit difficult to use. Water got on bathroom floor even though shower curtain was closed and inside tub. Room was large. Bed was not real comfortable. We did enjoy our stay though.

It is a great place to stay. Staff was welcoming and hospitable. Breakfast is included and had delicious lemon tart. It is very well located, walking distance to the basilica of St Frances and St Claire.

We loved our stay. The hotel is super clean, right of the town plaza, quiet, comfortable, friendly and eco-friendly. The only complaint is the internet is slow and sometimes drops signal. We would stay there again.

Hotel Umbra has an excellent location, just off the central square of Assisi. Shopping, dining, and other amenities are just a few steps away, yet the hotel is quiet with wonderful views of the garden and Umbrian countryside. The staff are friendly and helpful. The vibe is of a charming "old-world" hotel. I would happily stay here again.

Great location right on the main square. It's pretty much halfway between all of the Assisi attractions. Great views from our room. Hotel clerk was extremely helpful with what to see and where to eat. (The places are right arthe hotel.) Nice breakfast included to start the morning.
