We enjoyed our 4-night stay at Casa Del Mar. Everything was excellent from the accommodations, equipments (small but nice pool + gym) to the service quality. The property is very well set, near Santa Monica city center and the beach/Pier. No cons to highlight : lobby lounge is very nice, F&B is very good, rooms are nicely decorated…. Excellent stay as I said !

This property is exquisitely presented. We had a comfortable stay. There was not one detail missing. The room service was well thought out presenting us with fresh water, ice, turn down service and more. We loved the late night music and all the amenities. Will be back very soon

We stay here several times a year! The staff & service is exceptional. The room service steak & cheeseburger by the pool are two of our favorites! The pool overlooking the beach & beach access is a rare find in LA.

small rooom. City view. A little expensive for $ 706/nightly. Old stylish bed. Cold stream weather during our stay, sometimes strong cloudy. Manager was very kind and had understanding for the situation.

First time staying here and had a wonderful experience. From the service to the property to the amenities, it is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Proximity to the oceanvery nice. . However, extremely overpriced. Mediocre restaurant, room was very ordinary for the price, ie $1000 per night. No movie channels. No refrigerator. Very unexceptional hotel, once again, considering the huge price. Will not return. Would not recommend.

Friendly staff, make you feel at home

I absolutely love this hotel. One of Santa Monica's most nostalgic and gorgeous hotels ever. The food was fantastic and the staff was very friendly!

Beautiful hotel - but the food service to the room was really really slow and the dining in general was a disappointment. Great service people but the menu is undesirable and the food not well cooked. The restaurant never appeared to have enough guests and it's for good reason. We prefer buffet breakfast and they did not have that and the menu options weren't great. I think for the number of stars and price - they should really improve their food.

I loved our stay at casa! I care most about the quality of the service and from the moment we got to the hotel until we left, we felt super well taken cared. The room is beautiful, bed was exceptionally comfortable and we enjoyed using the complimentary bike to bike down Santa Monica beach. Super happy we stayed here!

A beautiful, elegant, historical hotel directly by the ocean and a 10 minute walk to town. Everything you need and more is provided! We will definitely stay here again - beautiful!!

Doorman and valet were great - pricy at $65 day but worth it - clean property - bar and dining is together - it was nice but with the live music just know it is hard to hear over a table - view was great - food was fabulous! Room was beautiful. Lots of light and comfort and great stock of things to use or purchase of you forgot something. As with many places, the homeless in the area is a problem. The complimentary car anywhere within 3 miles saved the day. The pier was not the place to be at 9 pm with two women - the folks will say safe and don’t worry lots of police but all we found was an empty cop car - and we were harassed twice - to the point of crossing the road twice, confronting the man following, etc. maybe different in day or maybe we should have asked other women instead of men if they thought safe. From Vegas, so high tolerance for crazy - but this was scary where I was concerned for the safety of my daughter. Like we said, being able to call for the car was a dream! Lots of great restaurants in the area and a walking distance. Rental bikes and jogging trail along the beach amazing. We enjoyed the room, but would not likely come back to Santa Monica to stay - it is not what I remembered. The property did everything they could to make it a great stay. For business, we would stay here again. Note to self - stay away from shop. I’m going to follow mamas advice on what to say here. Front desk - perfect!

Casa Del Mar is among the finest hotels I have ever stayed at worldwide, it is not inexpensive but they deliver. I rate them exceptional on aesthetics, comfort, courtesy and location.

Paid about $800 for a king size with a city view, didn’t really get much city view since the windows were pretty small, I might also add that the room is also quite small for the price I paid. the menu for dinner lunch breakfast are quite expensive, $22 for a toast? overall the staffs were pretty nice and professional.

Excellent hotel experience. Recommend having a regular bedsheet on the bed instead of only a quilt. For those people like me who get too heated under the quilt.

Beautiful property adjacent to Santa Monica Beach and pier. Plenty of walking pathways. The staff were outstanding and always available to help in addition to being so friendly. Beautiful rooms and service.

A beautifully decorated hotel in a heritage property with great architecture!

This is a beautiful property but very expensive. I don’t mind paying a lot for the room but everything had a huge charge on top if it. $25 for bubble bath, $40 for daily valet parking and a resort fee. When you are paying $1,000 a night fir a hotel these things should be included in the price.
