Beds and pillows uncomfortable especially sofa bed .

It was the most uncomfortable bed ever. We wanted a good nights sleep before continuing our journey, we could not sleep. I think it was an ancient bed, it felt like it was made of straw. When we complained, in the morning, we were asked what have you been up to? This was embarrassing and unnecessary.

We were given a lovely welcome from the staff. Rest of the staff at the bar and room cleaning were polite and friendly.

Sadly since our last family gathering little has changed.
The hotel looks tired, as do the depleted and over worked staff. This is a poor reflection of the standards expected from a quality hotel in the Hilton empire

I like the Hilton touches.. chocolates in the room, bottles of water and a warm welcome cookie.

Check in was fine. Went in the pool. Almost half taken for one solo swimming lesson meaning no one could really swim, jacuzzi was warm at best not overly hot. Check out, well no one was there. Had to knock on the private door. Asked for my invoice to be printed. After 10mins of trying to sort the printer I gave up and left my email. It was sent pretty rapidly, I'll give them that.

Hotel very dated and in need of an upgrade. Room was scruffy and grubby. In need of a deep clean. Staff were friendly and breakfast good.

We came to Bristol. for a wedding and needed somewhere convenient to stay, and the DoubleTree Hilton was just that.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, giving assistance with transport, directions, etc.
The room was fine, however there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Not sure if it was a plumbing issue or from the cleaning products they used.
This was the only blight on the stay though.

We received a very warm welcome. The check in process took quite a long time and we could not understand everything the staff member was saying or asking. But he was very friendly.
The rooms were nice and spacious and comfortable. We will stay again.

The bed was a bit old and made noises every time you moved. It took us 40 mins to check in. But the pool sauna etc was good.

This is a difficult review to write because if you are the owner of a dog and are looking for somewhere to stay then it is perfect. However, as dogs are welcome in the communal areas and one urinated beside one of our party and it's owners made no attempt to clean it up it was quite off putting.
The housekeeping was hit and miss; towels not replaced, the tea tray not replenished and sink not cleaned.
The reason it has three stars is because the staff were really polite and helpful, the food in the restaurant was really good and the hotel is in a really good location

Terrible stay. Noisy and rowdy guests until 3 a.m. so virtually no sleep.

On my arrival back home a week later I had received a letter containing a parking fine for parking at the hotel overnight, and although this was rectified by a telephone call to the Hotel it was an inconvenience I could have done without.

Nice enough hotel, swimming pool is too small and jacuzzi wasn’t working.
Beds were comfy, breakfast wasn’t 4star (2-3) and the hallways make it feel like a hospital.
We loved the cookies on arrival which were a nice touch.

Old hotel not really to standars of confort Doubletree even if Manager and staff were really friendly! Matress are really old. Bathroom too old also. Need a refurbishment.

The Hotel Staff were all pleasant & accommodating. The check in /out times were flexible - where possible- & the late checkout time of 12Noon meant the last morning at the Hotel was relaxed & stress free . This places greater organisation for changeovers on the cleaning staff , but for the benefit of the Guests. This is something other Hotels could consider IF the Guests are truly their main focus.

All staff I came across were very nice and professional especially those in the health club. Rooms could be modernised but comfy and clean otherwise. Limited options for food but can’t be helped with the location. Extremely minor thing but upon check-in when asking if we’re going swimming just let people know towels are included and also that £1 is needed for the lockers. Didn’t take my wallet so wasn’t able to use a locker and had to take my things poolside. Fine but a little inconvenient, may be different for others.

Did not spend much timem in hotel this time. It is a good size and comfortable room. Food is restaurant is good too.

We didn’t enjoy our stay. The staff were unprofessional. The air con didn’t work. The pool was so dirty and full of hair. The beds were more uncomfortable than the Ramada down the road for less than half the price. Breakfast wasn’t that special either. Definitely wouldn’t stay again or recor

The hotel satay was ok. The room had a lot of litter easy to find by moving the bed a few mm.

We travelled with a small dog and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Let us put his food in the freezer (all packaged) overnight as we were onwards travelling, facilities for the dog were great, breakfast was super but the staff made it very easy and relaxed. Thank you

Amazing stay, the spa facilities were great the kids loved them. Room services was excellent. the only slight down side was that the air con wasn't working, however they did provide a fan and the windows open.

The garden area was bare apart from the grass and the seating areas. Would look better with some flower beds.

The hotel staff were very friendly on arrival and throughout our stay. My kids loved the cookie in arrival. Everything was clean and tidy, however i did feel like the room looked a little tired, nevertheless a pleasant stay. I also feel that free parking should be included in the stay especially if just for one night.

Overall the hotel was a nice easy location just off the M5 which suited us for our 3 night stay.
We ate at the hotel restaurant the first night and enjoyed our meals and the staff were all good.
The swimming pool was ok and the sauna was not working.
Our room air con wasn't working and we got a small fan from reception for the first night, i mentioned the air con next day but nothing was done and it was still not working when we left.
Breakfast was all good. as were staff there
