Check in was fine. Went in the pool. Almost half taken for one solo swimming lesson meaning no one could really swim, jacuzzi was warm at best not overly hot. Check out, well no one was there. Had to knock on the private door. Asked for my invoice to be printed. After 10mins of trying to sort the printer I gave up and left my email. It was sent pretty rapidly, I'll give them that.

Hotel very dated and in need of an upgrade. Room was scruffy and grubby. In need of a deep clean. Staff were friendly and breakfast good.

We came to Bristol. for a wedding and needed somewhere convenient to stay, and the DoubleTree Hilton was just that.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, giving assistance with transport, directions, etc.
The room was fine, however there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Not sure if it was a plumbing issue or from the cleaning products they used.
This was the only blight on the stay though.

We received a very warm welcome. The check in process took quite a long time and we could not understand everything the staff member was saying or asking. But he was very friendly.

The bed was a bit old and made noises every time you moved. It took us 40 mins to check in. But the pool sauna etc was good.

This is a difficult review to write because if you are the owner of a dog and are looking for somewhere to stay then it is perfect. However, as dogs are welcome in the communal areas and one urinated beside one of our party and it's owners made no attempt to clean it up it was quite off putting.
The housekeeping was hit and miss; towels not replaced, the tea tray not replenished and sink not cleaned.
The reason it has three stars is because the staff were really polite and helpful, the food in the restaurant was really good and the hotel is in a really good location

On my arrival back home a week later I had received a letter containing a parking fine for parking at the hotel overnight, and although this was rectified by a telephone call to the Hotel it was an inconvenience I could have done without.

Terrible stay. Noisy and rowdy guests until 3 a.m. so virtually no sleep.

Old hotel not really to standars of confort Doubletree even if Manager and staff were really friendly! Matress are really old. Bathroom too old also. Need a refurbishment.

We didn’t enjoy our stay. The staff were unprofessional. The air con didn’t work. The pool was so dirty and full of hair. The beds were more uncomfortable than the Ramada down the road for less than half the price. Breakfast wasn’t that special either. Definitely wouldn’t stay again or recor

Amazing stay, the spa facilities were great the kids loved them. Room services was excellent. the only slight down side was that the air con wasn't working, however they did provide a fan and the windows open.

We travelled with a small dog and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Let us put his food in the freezer (all packaged) overnight as we were onwards travelling, facilities for the dog were great, breakfast was super but the staff made it very easy and relaxed. Thank you

The hotel staff were very friendly on arrival and throughout our stay. My kids loved the cookie in arrival. Everything was clean and tidy, however i did feel like the room looked a little tired, nevertheless a pleasant stay. I also feel that free parking should be included in the stay especially if just for one night.

Overall the hotel was a nice easy location just off the M5 which suited us for our 3 night stay.
We ate at the hotel restaurant the first night and enjoyed our meals and the staff were all good.
The swimming pool was ok and the sauna was not working.
Our room air con wasn't working and we got a small fan from reception for the first night, i mentioned the air con next day but nothing was done and it was still not working when we left.

Sofa bed was not made up when we arrived, however was made up promptly. Staff all helpful. Lad in the pool went over any above.
However why would you have a smoking area at the front of the hotel? It is disgraceful that my family and I have to walk through a smelly smoking and vape-fuelled area to get to the front desk to check in.
Why not move it to the back??

Excellent service especially the breakfast and the staffs the only issue is the hidden truth about the parking because when I was booking the hotel it says free parking and getting there to check the receptionist said it's £8 parking charges per night and he even admits it's a hidden charges.

Rooms were comfy, clean and plenty of space. There is no small fridge to keep drinks / snacks cold - but everything else was fine

Handy hotel just off the motorway, friendly morning staff and cookies. Only issue being beds are not the most comfortable could feel springs sleeping on my side. Very clean and quiet pool etc

We were given a complimentary breakfast to compensate for a small mix-up over the type of bed arrangements (i.e. twin or double) we had booked. This was very enjoyable and greatly appreciated as it was offered quite spontaneously by the duty receptionist.

Nothing special about the room. Definitely needs redecorating. No need to paint leather head board. Grouting around bath all split and awful.

Lovely hotel, clean, friendly staff and great facilities. Convenient location nearby to shops, 30 min bus ride to Bristol City Centre. Downside was not advised that 2 cards are needed for the lights/electricity, this causes lights to go off every 10 minutes, however was easily resolved. Just please let guests know in future as was not pleasant experiencing total darkness in the bathroom! Staff very apologetic when quiring this.
