Pre - Christmas celebration with friends. Thoroughly enjoyed the time at the pool. Good size pool for inner city. Great selection of restaurants for all budgets nearby. Close proximity to city Centre for shopping. Very clean hotel with friendly professional staff. Good selection at buffet breakfast. Omelets made to order. Very lucky to get upgraded to a suite amazing views over the Botanical gardens, excellent size room with lounge suite TV and ding size table with 6 chairs.

Stayed one night only but it was great. Hotel is old but clean and in good condition. Staff without exception were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and location excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed the location and the staff were excellent. Our room was large and comfortable. Bathroom was a bit dated. Air conditioning was terrible. Very noisy and very old.

This quiet sleeper is a keeper. Looks a bit run down on the outside but is lovely inside. The staff were all lovely, especially the front desk staff. Great atmosphere and ran a great conference. King size room is very roomy and the bed is super comfy. The Japanese all singing all dancing toilet did need a new battery in the controller and this want addressed the 3 nights I was there but I also didn’t ask.

From check in to check out, all staff interacted with with professional, helpful and friendly. It was very much a pleasure staying at this hotel.
Room: spotlessly clean, quiet and very comfortable bed.
Bar: friendly staff and excellent selection of both drinks and bar food.
Restaurant: ate here only one evening. Very good menu and wine selection. Excellent service.

This is a lovely old hotel in a quiet and convenient location in central Brisbane. It is showing its age a little in one or two areas (the aircon is a bit loud and not very efficient) but overall we really like it.

The room was directly opposite the cleaners room. The shower had pathetic water pressure. There was no skinny milk available in either the room or at the breakfast. The meals were far too expensive for what was provided.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel and highly recommend it. The service was welcoming and friendly. The decor is what attracted us to this unique place. It felt like we’d stepped back in time to another era. It is close to everything in the Brisbane city. We enjoyed our time here.

Lovely hotel with nice pool (which did not get a lot of sun owing to the tall surrounding buildings), restaurant and bar area. Just one suggestion with regard to the pool would be to have the pool towel collection/return box near to the entry gate.

Charming old-world style hotel with lovely restaurant and pool. Rooms were elegant with views over the botanic gardens. Each day began with coffee in the beautiful lounge bar followed by a stroll around the park across the road. Fantastic location. Staff were very friendly and professional. We were greeted with big smiles every time we passed through the foyer.

We love the location opposite the Botanic Gardens and the character of the hotel. Our only complaint was that the outside of the windows need cleaning. We had a lovely view from the 9th floor, however it would have been better if the windows were a little cleaner.

All staff we encountered were friendly. Rooms were clean comfortable, kids loved the pool. Only thing to mention is the safety bars at the pool are a little wobbly and the bathrooms look a little tired. We would definitely stay here again.
