Needed a hotel that was close to Caen Memorial bit also easy access off to the Normandy beaches. Fitted perfect. Also had onsite parking.
Quiet area, mostly mixture of commercial and light industrial but still close to the town centre.
Staff all very helpful and reasonably priced. Would stay here again.

When booking Hotels.com did not offer a breakfast included option and when we got to the property it was priced at €14.50 per head. I have to say the way it is presented, there are no real cooked options and it is all a bit crowded and tightly packed for ease of access so queues result at slightly busier times. Not sure compared to other hotels I have stayed at relatively recently (and in the Caen area) this is favourable valuewise
Dinner options (3 choices but it seems at least one runs out before 8PM every day and an alternative is offered). Also delaying deciding about a dessert if you want one or not seems to be not welcomed and when you have finished your second course and decide you want a dessert at 8:45 you find the kitchen is closed so no way.
There are not many eating alternatives close by (La Boucherie nearby and walkable provided a good steak) so delaying your arrival at dinner to 8:00PM means you might be limited.
Room compact but all you need there, bed comfortable and air conditioning did work well. Could be noisy from nearby occupants one day a dog was barking in a nearby room at 6:00 AM!
Parking in a locked at night more secure area was freely offered. Not sure about the accessibility if you do not have a car as local bus services seem limited, so you'd be reduced to taxis.

We wanted a family room for 5 of us, which are often difficult to fund. The room was perfect and solved for our needs really well, along with being well appointed and clean. A nice breakfast and friendly staff, for a reasonable price. Very pleased.

Check in staff and service excellent especially the young lady on duty was extremely helpful, room alright except, there is no lift to carry luggage, good internet, free onsite parking, good heating in rooms.

We used the Brit hotel as a base for our trip to Normandy. It’s in a good location for visiting all the historical sites.
We stayed in the family room and there was plenty of room for us all (2 adults and 2 teenage boys).
A kettle and a few coffee sachets were provided but no cups and milk. However, there was a small supermarket 2 mins away so we purchased cups/milk from there.
We didn’t eat at the hotel. So I can not comment on the food. Breakfast was €14 each so again we purchased croissants, Orange juice and fruit etc from the supermarket for a few euros.
The hotel is a little dated but the room was clean, and plenty of towels were provided each day.
I would recommend this hotel to others as it’s in a great location.

We got the ferry that landed at 9.30 in the evening. The hotel is about 30 mins from the port so ideal for staying over after the crossing. The hotel is basic but clean. Breakfast a continental buffet and good. We stayed in a family room for 5, good price.

The hotel in general and our room in particular were clean enough and adequately comfortable enough for our one night family stay. Comfort/Quality were appropriate for price paid. One improvement would be the ability to obtain clean drinking water at no cost.

The staff were very helpful and the hotel has family sized room that was perfect for us. And it’s located on the outskirts of Caen a stones throw from the Normandy museum and a short drive downtown. Would stay there again.

Really nice hotel and easy to find after visiting the WW2 memorials at the beaches outside of town. There are few restaurants available in the area just as a heads up but the downtown core is just 10 minutes away or a brasserie just around the corner, which was great

Hotel was in the middle of an business area, we arrived early and was told to come back after 5, even though our confirmation said 3, when we arrived back at the hotel after 5, we asked to order food and we were told they were unable to serve us as the had a coach load of people booked in!
The room was ok apart from the bathroom where all the paint was peeling of the ceiling and there was only enough towels for one person, there was also only coffee facilities for one.

No Air Conditioning and a sweltering humid room.
The hotel management have decided to lie in their advertising and treat paying customers like toddlers. They have switched off all the air conditioning and restricted access so customers cannot control the temperature in their rooms. During my stay, the ac did not come on once. The control unit is locked so I could not adjust it. The room was sweltering hot, I could not sleep. The hotel looks lovely, staff are nice, cleanliness is good but what use is any of this if the room is a sauna and it’s impossible to sleep. The management should be sued for false advertising. A locked control unit and ac that never came on does not constitute air conditioning. Be honest and advertise your hotel as lacking air conditioning. Will never stay here again.

We we’re looking forward to relaxing in the restaurant with a drink and meal only to be told they don’t serve food on the weekend. There was nothing nearby to accommodate us either. Very dissatisfied and disappointed and all went to bed hungry.

Check-in was easy, the room was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The only negative was there wasn’t any wi-fi for the two days we were there but it wasn’t the hotel’s fault. The area router wasn’t working. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
