Upon arrival, the elevator smelt of bed bug spray. When I got into my room, it smelt heavily of bed bug spray even though I checked I didn't find anything but after I got home, I have found bed bugs and my luggage they got out and I had to hire an exterminator.

The room smelled of mildew, and the A/C unit's drain was stopped up and kept flooding the room with water. Told the front desk about it and after telling them twice they finally sent a maintenance worker to look at it but he didn't fix the issue. We had to keep soaking up the water with the towels and ringing them out.

I would have to say that it was very enjoyable staying at Red Roof Inn and if we have to stay in Galveston again I would stay at Red Roof Inn.

It was great priced and very convenient to the beach and plenty of restaurants. Parking was full but luckily we kept finding spots to park.

A beachfront property sits directly on the sandy shoreline, offering immediate access to the beach. This hotel is not beachfront though your name says “beachfront”.

The mini fridge was great! 1. **Cleanliness:** The room was clean upon arrival, but I spotted a cockroach on the landline phone during my stay. 2. **Room Quality:** The room was basic but functional, with a mini fridge adding value. 3. **Maintenance:** The room was well-maintained and clean, but there were some issues. The shower drained slowly, and the elevator, though functional, was very slow and had a bad odor. 4. **Management:** Management's care was disappointing. I couldn’t switch to a room with two beds, even though they were available at a lower price. Requests for extra blankets were limited to one, which I had to pick up myself. When my family visited, I was told my room would be monitored to ensure no extra guests stayed overnight, which felt invasive. 5. **Keycard Issue:** On the second day, my keycard stopped working without any fault on my part. I had to go to the lobby to get it fixed, which was inconvenient and made me feel uneasy. 6. **Location:** The motel is a short walk from the beach, but for a better beach experience, I recommend Stuart Beach and staying closer to that area. 7. **Beachfront View:** The ocean view was limited, with a small window not near the bed, making it difficult to enjoy. 8. **Parking:** There was plenty of parking available during my stay. 9. **Safety:** I felt safe throughout my stay. 10. **Would I Return?** No, I would probably not return to this motel. There are many other hotels that may be worth a try

I had mad a reservation for Tues accidentally, I arrived Sunday at 2:00 am thinking I was all set and the guy behind the window basically shooed me away like I was being a inconvenience for him. I was waiting on an Uber to take me to a different hotel. He was a total douche and I'll never stay here again. I was here for a few days a month ago and they'll never see a dime from me again. Racist man he was.

At first I was a little iffy from reading comments from previous visits. There were good and bad, but once I got here I realized there was nothing wrong with the place. It does have a smell, but it seems like there was fresh paint mixed with air from the nearby beach and water, so as long as you can get past that it’s really no problem. The rooms have definitely been renovated and they look and smell lovely. Everything was as it should be, there were no shady characters and other than the storm that came through there were no disruptions or loud noises from anyone else

Did not get a chance to say. Manager met me at car. Told me they did not have power and I could not stay. To find other lodgings

This was the first and last time I will ever stay at a Red Roof Inn. The room was sparsely furnished and the desk chair was old, beaten up rusty and didn't roll on the floor well. There were crackes in the walls and some mold in the bathroom. The property is infested with huge roaches that come out after sun down. There was a thunderstorm that knocked out power and when it came back on the room had no air conditioning unlit later in the evening, even though other rooms had working AC at that time. After the storm, we didn't have hot water for 2 days. Other guests had this issue too. They only give you 2 little, almost hand towels to use in the shower room. I had to tell the front desk that the hair dryer didn't work. They replaced it by just putting another wall mounted unit on the counter, leaving the broken one on the wall. I also had to tell the front desk that the shower gel was empty, the cleaning crew did not fill it until I said something and only filled it once. The bath mat was never replaced while I was there. When bringing these issues to the front desk, I was met with attitude. This is a terrible hotel and I would not recommend it to anybody.

Less than 2 blocks to the beach!!! Room was very clean and very quiet...also seemed very empty. There was tons of OPEN space in out room. Needed chairs or a couch to sit on. Otherwise, would highly recommend this Red Roof.

Stayed here for four nights. Front desk was nice. The A/C in our room was wonderful. After a day out in the heat it felt great. My only complaints I have were the bed being hard, the mirror wasn't cleaned and neither were the floors. There was sand all over the floors when we first arrived. For the price I felt like it was great! Would stay again.

The shower did not drain properly. Found a roach in the drawer. Roach legs on the floor. A Skittle and a piece of dog food from previous guest on the floor. A couple of flying insects in the room. A wing on the sheets. Around the pool had not been cleaned. Found cigarettes and more on the floor. The pool it self was clean.

Property was right across the beach. Close to restarurants on sea wall. Walkable distance. Elevator access. No breakfast was the only downside. .... Room was great, large, spacious and clean. Microwave and fridge available in room.

Front desk very friendly. Housekeeping super friendly! Rooms are clean and offer microwave & fridges!! Quick walk to the beach, which was a big plus! We could see partial ocean views from our room (3rd floor room 315) View of parking , so you could see your cars. Easy parking. Elevator or stairs option. We stayed here because we had our corgi and the hotel doesn’t charge all the high animal fees. It’s a little walk to the front for a potty area, but felt very safe. Hotel is convenient to stores and restaurants, but a good walk to the Paradise Pier. My only complaint is I feel this is a place where people live. Looks mainly kept to the second floor. They sit outside their doors and smoke and have made it their home. They were nice enough tho, just a heads up. All in all, it was a nice weekend trip that didn’t cost a fortune! I mean we are there to play on the beach, not sit in the room! 👍

Nice staff but that lobby stinks so badly! A mix of cooking and mildew that’s pungent and unpleasant. Otherwise a good property from location to price and cleanliness. Not eco-friendly though and the parking lot is a mess. Sad to see this litter so close to the beach and ocean, easily blown there.

There are tenants and homeless people sitting around the property and on the walkway to the rooms.

The room was perfect and clean, but the parking lot was filthy. Even a big pile of dog poop. Seems that some of the guests live there. We had no problems and it was convenient.

The room we were in was nice, but obviously not sweept because there was sand allover our floors. Room 210 We were traveling with 2 small children & there were people smoking weed by the pool & screaming & fighting in the parking lot. It was like once the owner left for the day the other clerk didn't care what was going on in the parking lot, including obviously drug deals going on.
