We stayed here 2 nights, mainly for the convenience to the event centre and town.
We know the Ibis is nothing fancy but it’s perfectly ok and reasonably priced for a central Wellington hotel.

The website is not clear on the parking situation so we were not able to get hotel parking for our first night. We paid far more at the Wilson parking lot around the corner.
The rooms were clean and spacious and well appointed. There is a dining room on property. The hotel is situated downtown so there are plenty of other dining options and lots of shopping.
Wellington is a windy city, so come prepared.

Perfect location if you’re visiting the CBD area or going to an event at TSB Arena. Within walking distance of everything and not too noisy overnight.

When we arrived you only had one of the rooms set aside for us despite booking them together. Our room was eventually found, I’m told it was in the system.
We got to our room and there were only enough towels for 2 people so we had to request enough for 4 adults.
The other part of the booking which had a room had only 1 double bed despite booking two and the there were 3 adults to sleep in it. So this room had to be changed to accomythe original booking request.

The hotel is in a great location and the rooms were spacious and clean. It was a really comfortable bed too.
Downsides - wifi was incredibly slow and I had repeated problems with room keys not working. Although staff were happy to make new keys, there was not much effort to find and fix the root cause.
Would stay again but would like to see those aspects improve.

Took ages to check in as booking between hotels and motel not showing properly. No room service had to order and collect. No info in room only scan code that did not work as there network seemed flacky. Room small but nice and comfortable with desk and large windows

Nice enough room. Shower wash supplied was nice smelling.
Bathroom shower drain was smelly throughout the bathroom and vinyl on shower floor was not attached and bubbled up when standing on floor. No pillowcase for spare pillow in cupboard so could not use.

The air-conditioning is terribly noisy. We couldn’t sleep and reluctantly had to turn it off. You can imagine how bad it is in the cold winter. The layout of the bathroom is user unfriendly.

Stayed here for 1 night, with family. Overall, a good option to stay in the heart of Wellington. The hotel location is quite good - close to the major attractions, and in CBD.
The hotel itself meets expectations. The room was reasonably sized, well furnished, etc. Good value for money!
Unfortunately given its central location, there are no free parking options in the area - so budget for $30/day extra for parking if you are driving.
