While the room was small, it was clean and comfortable. Small bathroom.

Great, centrally located hotel. Staff was very nice, but my room was a bit small.

The hotel is in a cute town with shopping and beautiful sites. The hotel was comfortable and staff were helpful. Our room was located above the outside bar patio and was very loud. It also had a lounge area next to our room on the 3rd floor. Definitely not quiet. The manager did relocate us on the second night to a quieter room.

Good value for money

Location of this hotel is perfect. You can to anything you need to on foot so easily. Staff were really helpful in directing us to free parking. But you can pull up right to the hotel to load up or unload which is super handy. Room was lovely. We had a terrace facing the water with our room. The terraces are not very private from the other rooms that also have them but not an issue. Bathroom let the room down. The shower cubicle was tiny even though there is clearly space for a larger one. Bar area is lovely with large outdoor terrace. There were seating areas on the landings of each floor which is a nice touch. Breakfast was extremely disappointing. Seemingly lots of options but everything just not very nice. Heard lots of people around us comment on this. Staff at reception were all super nice. Would happily stay again.

It was a really nice stay at the hotel. Everyone was friendly, really good breakfast.

I arrived early and was grateful for the quick check-in to my room. Also, it was very helpful that they held my luggage upon departure, demonstrating great hospitality. However, I was a bit bothered by people passing by outside since my room was on the first floor. While closing the curtains could solve this, it made the room quite cold as the heating wouldn't work effectively. Nonetheless, the room was very clean, and I enjoyed the shower, which I believe was a hot spring, it was very refreshing.

The property was centrally located in town. Walkable to restaurants, shopping and water activities. The restaurant associated with the hotel was great. Nice variety for breakfast. A lovely experience

A perfect stop on our travel around the Ring Road- just before taking on a bit of the Arctic Ring. March 2024

We visited for our 30th anniversary and had a wonderful time. The room was cozy and clean. Breakfast was great, and the staff were very helpful and courteous. The location is fantastic--close to shops and restaurants and the lovely church is a stone's throw away. We loved both Akureyri and Hotel Kea!

One night stay on ring road itinerary. Location was convenient to downtown area. Clean room, nice view from the room. They have an ice maker on the 2nd floor which was a nice surprise. They also have a fan provided in the room for air circulation. Only downside is parking can be difficult to find depending on time of arrival.

The front desk staff were lovely. They were very welcoming and helpful. It made our stay very comfortable and pleasant.

Did not like the parking options and the rooms are extremely small with little airflow.

Outdated hotel with a strong smell, disappointing breakfast, No parking, definitely not worth the price. One small elevator serves all 5 floors is always busy with a long wait. The only positive comment is about the amazing staff who helped above and beyond any expectations. I wish that I knew the name of the front desk person who went out in the rain to find a parking spot for us.

Nice hotel just limited parking

Hotel was very old fashioned. The worst kea hotel in Iceland I have experienced. Breakfast room was like an old fashioned banquetimg facility with absolutely no charme. Breakfast choice was disappoiinting. This can never be considered as a 4-star hotel. Not worth the money.
