The Victoria hotel is a perfect location for exploring Galway. Just a block away from the town square and numerous shops and restuarants. The room was very clean although a bit on the small side with just the basics. - ie no mini fridge, microwave. No parking on site but not too inconvient to park at the nearby lots for 10-15 euro daily. Make sure to get your parking validated

Very comfortable! We didn’t spend a lot of time in the hotel. But it’s location was great
4.1
Very disappointed with the staff behind the desk. They were not helpful in advising points of interest as well as restaurants in the area.
The staff in the dining area was very helpful.
4.1
It was a great location, however the rooms were small, only a table fan and one window opened with no screen, and it was hot all night long. Old plumbing, weird shaver, no plug in bathroom, small room with uncomfortable bed. Overpriced for what you get.
4.1
Our room was at the front of the hotel so we were woken at 6am every morning with coaches and very noisy lorries stopping outside. Apart from that, the hotel was clean, staff were friendly and location was excellent.
4.1
Centrally located and very comfortable stay
4.1
Very quaint- enjoyed our stay.
4.1
Good location, rooms a bit small but OK.
Internet connection was horrible, hot water took forever, and breakfast was pretty blah. So so overall

Great location

Everything was wonderful. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Great central location. Lovely rooms. Great breakfast and bar
4.1
Lovely and clean hotel. Great location for a few days in Galway. Good choice at breakfaat time with helpful staff about. The only downside was our room had a brick wall as a view .
4.1
When I checked in the clerk seemed dismissive of questions about a bus. The decor seemed mildly dated. The location was good as it wasnt as busy as it was a block away.
4.1
Only spent one night.
4.1
A nice hotel in an excellent location. The staff were courtepus, helpful, and very friendly. The rooms were clean and quiet.
4.1
We were very, very disappointed in our room. The room was not air conditioned which would have been fine if we could open a window, but it was an opaque window that we could not see out and was only able to crack open a little at the top. It was so stuffy, we could not sleep. We asked for an extra fan and they delivered one that did not work. We were thankful that we only had to spend one night. The double bed was small as well. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the hotel was a complete disappointment.

Comfortable

Not a bad property just got stuck in an outdated room that was nothing like what was pictured online. Felt like it was luck of the draw whether you get a nice, new room or an old, musty room
4.1
Disappointing stay.
Early arrival and opportunity to check in was requested but not accommodated. Allowed to check in at 3pm with zero effort to bring time forward.
Breakfast charged for three mornings, when only one breakfast (x2) was taken.
At breakfast, staff could not provide a cappuccino, until at least 11:30am....when breakfast service was finished. Very unusual.
Bar staff said bar closed at 11pm and was unavailable to residents. Barman was closing up before 11pm and made us feel we were an inconvenience to him.
Galway is a great city, this is not a great hotel. A two star at most, masquerading as a three star hotel, charging five star prices.
4.1
Centrally located property close to the railway station and all other he site seeing areas. The staff were a pleasure and very amenable.
4.1
Room was close to the elevator and was very noisy. A lot of loud Americans yelling at each after coming home from the bars.
4.1
Very comfortable and close to everything we wanted to see. Friendly and helpful staff!
4.1
Great traditional hotel adjacent to medieval city
4.1
Staff was friendly. Clean, quiet, very walkable to town. Rooms were very small, but quiet. We were in a standard double and the bed was pushed against the wall. We also reserved a standard twin room for our adult children. Beds were standard twins, as advertised,

Victoria was conveniently located near Eyre Square. Easily walkable to pubs and shopping.
4.1
We had a small, basic room with a view on a wall. The bathroom needs a good renovation.
4.1
Close to the historical and entertainment areas
4.1
Overpriced, outdated, not clean. Towel was not folded and unsure if replaced. Amenities were scarce. Poor hairdryer that overheated easily. Poor insulation - could hear people opening/closing doors, walking in and out, music, general noise. No fridge, no AC.
4.1
Great place close to everything
4.1
Convenient location to train station but a lot of construction noise that is beyond the hotels control.
4.1
Massive construction by the hotel. Not in their control but did not make for a relaxing experience. The work started at 7:20am so no sleeping in.
4.1
Excellent location, close to the city center, buses, car rental. Comfortable room and amenities.

Great location close to shopping and pubs. Staff was helpful and friendly. Seemed a little pricey for a basic room.
