Let me start by saying the staff was super duper great in every area of this hotel. Now the review, I had to change my room 3 times to get a room resembling the photo online. After showing the staff the actual room I reserved online based on the pictures, I was told that room is not in their hotel. I was in 178 where overall the room was unappealing. I can say the view was really good. The wall I primarily faced was devoid of any pictures or paintings. It was blank. The furniture was dated with baseboards that seemed to have water damage. The 1st floor smelled of stale water and the carpet was torn and worn in several spaces. There was direct access to the shopping mall on this floor. That was a plus. I visited the bar/restaurant by the pool. The food and drinks were good but I waited so long for the bill I went to the bar. I learned after the second time to just order from the bar for a take-away. I didn't find any events nearby. Luckily the hotel is in area where this single female felt very safe walking by herself, no matter the time of day or night. There is no direct beach access. The safe in my room had its keypad ripped off so I had to bring all my valuables with me each time I left my room. I decided to use housekeeping once during my 6-night stay. Ultimately, I really should be requesting a full refund as I feel as if this was a case of bait-and-switch. This hotel used a cardstock photo to solicit customers. That in itself is enough for me to say no,

I have stayed at Radisson Blu before, and as expected, it was truly a great experience. All staff were very friendly, helpful and attentative, and the facilities on offer are excellent. Well Done to all the TEAM at Radisson Blu, Dakar Sea Plaza!

Great stay. Service is amazing - especially Penda at Concierge desk, Male at front desk and Bartholemy at pool bar. Brunch buffet was amazing esp the bbq. Food is great at Doluchat and pool side.

I cannot say that this is a Radisson. The status of the room is very degraded: toilet without door, shower handel broken, shower not very clean and last i have the visit of a cockroach... my colleague had an issue with the cooling...

Restaurant staff and bar staff were not hospitable. I waited nearly 30 minutes at the pool for someone to approach me and take my order while hanging poolside. No one came and I had to walk up to someone. Later at dinner that night it took nearly an hour for wings and a personal pizza. They brought the pizza and forgot the wings. I tried to cancel the wings and they brought them anyway. The restaurant staff could be more pleasant and pleasing to guests. They act like we owe them something.

Arrived at the hotel at 6PM (check-in time is 3PM) I was told to come back. Returned 30mins later and was informed it wasn't ready. This lasted until 8:30PM at which time I asked for them to be honest with me which is when they informed me they overbooked the hotel and had no room. Essentially lying to me since 6PM. Around 9PM they moved me to another hotel 45mins away which I had to wake up prior to 7AM in order to be driven back to Radisson for a morning tour. After asking, they did give me a voucher for food which is why I am giving them 4 stars. The following day a room was available around 4:45PM. I would advise against rooms with pair numbers *22 to *34 as they face the pool deck and bar which is where musicians play music at times until 9:30PM and then speaker music comes on. I recommend booking a 0* room on the ground floor, it is a staircase down from the pool deck but quitter and some face the ocean. This place hosts convention almost daily bring tons of people including the pool side which is why of 25 pool loungers (hotel with 241 rooms) some are stacked on top of each other as there's no room. Food and bar drinks were nice and service. Bar serves food. Rooms have 1 shaver socket in washroom and some rooms have Type R plugs while others have Type G. Paid $300 a night wouldn't say it was worth it if you're going for a vacation.

This property was okay. Our room smelled of mildew and cleaner when we arrived.
Our AC didn’t work, I called the front desk and they sent someone who messed with the thermostat and then left, I gave it an hour to see if it would get cooler in the room, then I called again and they sent someone at 10:30pm to replace the filter, I gave it another hour and the room still didn’t cool off any so I called again. This time they sent someone out at midnight who said all he can do is give us a new room, we weren’t trying to move that late especially since my lady was sleeping and we had a flight early in the morning. All they said was sorry, didn’t offer any refund, credit or anything except a new room at midnight and an “I’m sorry”.
We also felt like the staff outside at the bar/patio place were rude to us.
Overall I wouldn’t want to stay here again.

The property location is excellent, top tier in fact. However, this is a older property in that some updates is needed. It's well maintained but nonetheless it can use some sprucing up.

The customer service is outstanding, they were very polite and professional . I gave a big thumbs up to the checking desk especially a certain mrs Camara and an other one who was working when I was checking out. I will love to stay there again.

The rooms smelled very damp and the room wasn’t cleaned during the day…. It doesn’t seem like the hotel manager is doing a particularly good job of maintaining standards. The staff were very kind and helpful though at the front desk and in the restaurants.

This is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in.If I ever visit Dakar again, I WILL be coming here again. If you can afford it, stay here. Even if you cannot afford it, stay here. You will not regret it.

A bottom-end, 5-star hotel where many things on the menu are not available, the food - when it does arrive - is mediocre, the staff make anglophones feel unwelcome, and the rooms are overpriced.

This stay was disappointing. The front desk staff and cleaning staff were very nice and tried to make it up in some aspects, but there were many inconveniences. There was an argument over breakfast every single day when we paid in advance and still had to pay to access breakfast each morning. We used a venue space in the hotel that was leaking, we did not have the materials we requested and the staff was slow to help. The rooms were not clean when we arrived and the flies all over the hotel made the stay unpleasant.

Please don’t close bar at 11. All flights of Air France and Iberia arrives the night, and it’s not pleasant to eat in the room. It’s a shame a hotel like this radisson closes kitchens that early, besides you know very well flights arrive on night, and there’s no option.
