People above our room ran around like elephants and the pillows and sheets reeked of javex.

This hotel fit our needs - clean, very convenient, good price. It is dated but we were only there overnight. Wi-Fi was good.

The room floor was not clean. My feet were black walking across the bathroom floor, had to ask for coffee, tea, sugar, shampoo, and towels. The bottom of one chair was all falling apart, was not impressed with the room at all.
When we arrived, I told them that I had two small dogs 7 1/2 pounds each And told this was OK. We were out pretty well all day long and the dogs were only there at night to sleep when we walked them. We totally cleaned everything up.
Upon leaving The Owner/manager stopped my car and told me that I would have to pay for the dogs. This was not told to me at the beginning They said the dogs were fine. Upon receiving my credit card bill he has charged me. I feel they are not honest people and would never recommend anybody to the spot. Very disappointed with my booking through Expedia as they should be aware of how these dishonest people treat others.

This property is very economical and affordable. They upgraded my room without any extra cost. The owner is awesome and helpful. I will definitely visit again.

Owner was extremely accommodating and understanding with our late check in. He upgraded our room to make our room easier to find if he was unavailable when we arrived. Location was very convenient to catch the ferry to Digby. The room suited our needs- close to the ferry for early departure the following morning.

While the manager was friendly, the room was pathetic. Not only very small, but in serious need of a major overhaul. From doors to shower stall to window and curtains, toilet, walls, and more, the room we were in, #7, should not be rented out in its current condition.

It was advertised and a quaint little roadside inn, but when we got there it was dilapidated and unkempt. Looked more like a hostel type establishment. The owner was nice but we only stayed one night because it was sketchy and I didn’t feel safe.

The room we were given reeked of cat urine and there was a hornet’s nest right by the door - my husband was stung. We asked for another room, we’re given one, but for a “renovated room” is was very low class.

Some rooms have apparently been renovated, mine was not. The window was jammed open. The bathroom was tired, but there was plenty of hot water and clean towels.

The manager was so helpful and friendly, but the room just had a lot of minor glitches that added up to make it an annoying experience, even for the budget price.

The room was very small and no Air conditionner or even a fan. It was so hot that we almost did not sleep. The staff was very nice tho and gave us some nice spots to visit thanks for that. I guess you get what you pay for... We would not go back there.

Would be nice if there’s a screen at the door coz lots of mosquitoes and flies, u have to get in very quickly. At night time & morning No hot water when we showered- water so cold (5deg C) . I have to call the office in the morning, they said be patient lots of people using it but after 5 mins we had extremely hot water. I believe they are controlling this.Wifi not working, no issue for us co we have data plan. Cleanliness 90:/:.

The facility and amenities were a bit run down but perfectly acceptable and clean. The owner was friendly, helpful and ready to render whatever assistance was required. I will definitely book a room there next time I travel to St. John.

The property needs to be updated it’s dated, the beds are to soft for me I like a hard bed to sleep on. The walls are very thin. Personally it’s a inexpensive place to stay but I will not be staying here again

We just needed a bed for the night as we had someone at the hospital. The room was clean and comfortable if a bit dated. Claims a panoramic view but we woke up to the iconic Saint John fog. The price was right and we were able to book and check in on very short notice.
