Minging room to be honest Staines on walls .. wall paper hanging off All chrome rusty Shower door covered in grime on seals Whole place had a wierd smell and extractor fan rattled all night. Avoid

Contact prior to my stay was a little problematic but on the day itself the people I spoke to were friendly and very helpful

Basic accommodation, clean and adequate.

I didn't like anything I was told I would be on the first floor double bed but when I got there the owner said go round the back and gave me the key safe code which opened on a bedroom on the ground floor the bathroom was moldy and dirty I am reporting it to the council environmental and hotel inspector don't go pay the extra for a better hotel

Slept here for a few hours and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and amazing service from Ismail and Kay. All were very helpful and was offered an upgraded room and parking. Thanks! I was given two codes for the main and bedroom doors which was easy enough to use and access. There were no en-suite rooms left at the time but that was not a problem as my room had a sink, kettle and even a fridge with usual tea and coffee sachets as well as plenty of towels and small individual tubes of shower gels and etc. I will return because Ismail was so helpful! Well done!

I stayed in an ensuit room which was at backyard. When I checked in around 3pm, some celling light bulbs in the room were not working and the room was dark. But a staff negotiated me if they can fix the next day. I said no, then they changed after all. Also backyard door was not locked well and it moved and made huge sound every 5 min when winds blew. It was really awful in the night time when the door closed with really HUGE aggressive sound. We couldn't sleep at all. Not only the door sound but sounds from other rooms were very clear as well. On check out day, there was no staff at reception and we had no idea how to checkout. We needed to make a call to an indicated number but wasted almost 20-30 min. Better avoid. We paid ￡160 for this experience. Not cheap.

Arrived and stood outside in the cold for 35 mins as no one was answering the phone. Finally got through and was given the pin for the door. Got told ‘My colleague left all this information in a message’ but never received this message. Two men checking in behind us never got a message either. Got moved from a double room to twin singles. Staff weren’t apologetic - made me feel like they’d done me a favour for not cancelling the booking last minute. Our room was freezing cold, so we kept waking up through the night. It also says alcohol isn’t permitted on the premises!

Nothing special, literally a room with a shared bathroom. Fairly cold but it when it’s £37 a night it’s pretty good.

I recently booked to stay with you guys Upon arrival I paid an extra £15 to upgrade to a private bathroom which I couldn’t even use to shower because the water overflowed like the drain was blocked and the shower didn’t work properly it kept going scalding hot then freezing cold There were big hairs in the shower too One of the towels had a large brown stain on which I have pictures of so I just used it to dry the floor, disgusting but obvious what it was I had to shower in the sink Then onto the actual room… the bedding was stained and there was an aggressive drugged up lady that came out of a downstairs room who said she lives downstairs and has come off the streets She was slamming doors all night and while I was outside she was aggressive. We didn’t sleep because of worry we even had to ring reception to express our worry and he said don’t worry she’s drunk Why would you have someone like that when you’re trying to run a business She was shouting with loads of her crackhead friends then coming in and out slamming all the doors Complete waste of 70 quid Would like a refund

The stay was perfectly acceptable for the money paid. The room and bathroom were large enough. The check in was very efficient. Could do with some hooks in the bathroom, but this is by no means the only place I have stayed where these are missing.

We stayed for 2 nights.Very nice,bright and clean room.Comfy bed.Everything what you need is in the room.Clean towels,coffee,tea,cold water in fridge,fan.Not far from city centre.Next time when we will be in York ,Diamond Villa will be our 1st choice.Definitely recommended.

Room was clean, bed was uncomfortable - mattress definitely needs replacing. Room decoration needs updating, water damage, looks generally tired. Expensive for room only and wanted extra for parking, despite there being plenty of spaces available. Tea and coffee available but limited choice.

The room was convenient to where I needed to be. It was a small room, but the bed was comfortable and I slept well.

Great stay in York Found this hotel on line and was a good standard and would stay again

it was a trip to york with my 12 yr old to see sites and it was adiquate will return with him, very reasonable and easy to drive to york centre to visit, it is only half an hour away if you fancy a walk before site seeing, the hotel was great and shower facilities were good too , plenty of tea coffee and milk avaliable and clean enough indeed especially for a family , overall 9 out of 10

Cant grumble about anything when i we stayed, a friendly greeting when we arrived, the room was clean and plenty of room. The beds were really comfortable. Would stay again.

Disappointed that the car park price had been raised by 40% above the price stated in our booking confirmation without any notification before arrival

I can't review this property fully as on arrival we were informed that there has been a pluming issue (they had tried to contact me before arrival,but i was driving). They had re booked us into one of their other properties. Diamonds Inn. This was a few minutes drive where the reception (manned part time) were waiting .

We arrived around 2:15 in the afternoon, there was no-one at reception, so had to ring someone up, at cost to ourselves, to get a code to get into the hotel and a code for the room, I'd checked in on-line, so why wasn't the code provided at this time. The room was big enough for the 2 of us, we stayed in room 4, the TV didn't work, there's coffee /tea making equipment, which is provided for, with a small fridge, we had an en-suite Shower/toilet room which although small was adequate enough and supplied with shower gel/Shampoo/soap and towels. apart from a couple of gripes a good stay.

Fantastic stay - will definitely book again as we travel to York regularly for overnight stays. pleasure to deal with and so helpful when i called before our visit and when we arrived. car park is first come, first served so we were pleased we got there early for the onsite but there is more nearby. room was immaculate. simple but we literally slept there so was more than we needed actually fo this trip. highly recommend!

The room itself and the en suite were very clean and well presented. We had to go through self check in but it was very simple and only took a few minutes, the staff were great- very helpful and friendly.

We liked our room on the ground floor, spacious with comfortable beds. the ensuite was excellent. We would prefer the ground floor each time we visit.
