Lovely hotel on the water front about 7 minutes easy walk from Central Station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful breakfast buffet and spacious lounge spaces to sit at any time with free coffee. Nice places to walk from hotel along the water and into the old town. The only thing we did not like so much was very soft bed with no real support for our backs. This is personal preference for us not that the beds were bad.

Stayed 5 nights and the room was nice and big. Staffs are friendly and breakfast is good. Airport bus stop is about 12 mins walk from hotel and train station is about 8 mins walk.

Amazing location, perfect dining and restaurant on the roof .. brillian breakfast buffet .. but the room was very disappointing .. old and stinky

Location is great, breakfast was awesome and staff was friendly but unfortunately the room was hideous. Walls full of dirt, blood stains on mattress cover and bed headboard was broken. I would not stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with a top notch breakfast. near the water for those nice strolls along the waters edge. Easy to navigate to the bus line and walk into town for shopping and dining.

Very friendly and welcoming beautifully situated hotel by the harbour near the ferry which is very convenient to me who is staying in Indre Fosen at the moment . The hotel has nice restaurant and rooms. Very handy with the swimming hall of Piren Next door. The atmosphere is safe and clean. Will return

Great views. Good value and comfortable family room. Excellent breakfast. Next to very good swimming pool and water slide complex. Within walking distance of the city centre.

Enjoyed my stay here, but just know there are no fans or ambient noise in any room. So it’s dead silent as there isn’t even AC. Which led to me hearing the couple in the room above “getting it on” for hours and hours.. other than that, great place! Lol

- For some strange reason, we got a wheelchair accessible room, which meant the toilet was too high off the ground. The entire bathroom flooded during showering and there was no squeegee available to mop the floor, so you were always walking in water. You can’t turn the air conditioner/heater off, so you have a fan/machine running throughout the night. Unfortunately, the windows are covered on the outside to create a special effect, so the view of the harbor is blurred.
+ The bed was comfortable enough and the breakfast was excellent. Nice rituals bath products.

Very good price for a 4 stars Hotel. Gorgeous breakfast included. Conveniently located near the port, if you arrive from a cruising boat. Very close to the center though.

The breakfast buffet was definitely the highlight of the stay. The hotel was always clean and smelled nice upon entry. The rooftop bar had one of the best viewpoints in all of Trondheim.

The view from the rooftop bar was great. There is no room service even though they promote it
I had to go to the restaurant order my meal and then take it back to my room on a tray only because i asked for one. Ice machines are readily available but nothing to put ice into is provided. The mattress had no box spring so no support. No phones or usb charging available in any room. Showers and hotel were fine.

The property is a standard convention centre hotel. The problem was the car charging facility. Plenty of chargers but as a UK resident, with a UK bank account and phone number the chargers would not work for the car. Nor would the 100 or so at the station! The staff were aware of this (remember this is a convention centre hotel) but anyone coming to a convention would have to leave the extortionately expensive car park to sit in another car park for an hour or so to charge the car! Norway encourages tourists to hire an electric car. This hotel should make it easy to charge one!

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, but unfortunately when we checked in we were charged again for a room that we’d already paid for. We were given a refund but the amount we received was less than what we paid (maybe because of currency exchange rates) so we ended up losing £10 due to an error by the hotel, which was very disappointing.

The rooftop bar overlooking the waterfront was the highlight. Perfectly located within easy walking distance of train station and boat terminal.

Poor service for such an expensive hotel: key cards for room did not work, hairdryer stops after 1 minute because of ‘overheating’, booking a table for dinner impossible because of ‘first come first serve ‘ policy. Only positive: great breakfast.

Trondheim is a lovely city and the Clarion is a perfect place to stay - 10 minute walk from the Hurtigruten and 10 minutes to downtown. Beautiful breakfast and lovely room with views

We chose to upgrade to a room with a Seaview which was well worth it. The bed was very comfortable, breakfast was fabulous and the staff were very helpful. The only downside was the covering on the windows which slightly disrupted the view.
