Old downton location. Beautifuly restored hotel. Very comfortable beds. Highly recomend it.

Am a repeat customer but haven’t been here since Covid 2020. The rooms are small but quiet. No coffee pot but a fridge and microwave furnished. New carpet. We stayed 3 nights and were informed no housekeeping was provided unless requested. Very disappointed. We had to ask the cleaning staff when they were pushing carts for new garbage bags and towels.
One other suggestion. The lobby is beautiful but staff should move the furniture when dusting the floors. You can see where they dusted around the chairs. Lots of dirt/dust

This is a 1938 hotel that was remodeled in 1970. Could use another remodel.
Room was small and TV choices were very limited. Had a rotary phone.
Nostalgia buffs might like this place. It is in the old downtown area.

There is no parking for hotel guests you literally have to park away from the hotel making it unsecure for the people staying there......

I would not have stood in the tub to shower if there was no tub mat. The cooling unit in the room was not an Air conditioning unit and did not blow out enough cool air at its lowest level of 62 degrees. Not enough parking for handicapped people.

When i first entered, my first impression was..hmm reminds of the entrance to that movie in the Shinning. but there were no ghouls or crazy people with an axe. in fact, it was very...very...very quiet. It was all so calm. the others staying there were friendly. It looked like it had just been renovated. The breakfast was good, hardly anyone there.

Limited restaurants within walking distance for senior citizens and none for persons with limited disabilities.
The 'continental' breakfast was pre-wrapped individual portions, cold cereal, waffle or overcooked hard boiled eggs. The window A/C unit hasn't had its air filter changed for a long time. Furniture was uncomfortable except for the bed itself. The TV channels available were horrible unless you like everything from the pre 60's the 60' and 70's. Never again for us

We stayed for a family event over the weekend. The room we originally stayed in, the window unit AC didn’t work. Our room was 80 degrees. They offered to switch us rooms, and we did. It took that window unit several hours to work, we ended up leaving several times to give the room time to cool down, and it never got below 80. My son has medical problems, and he couldn’t cool down due to the ac issues.

Great hotel! I was happy to find a fridge and microwave in our queen bed room. Free breakfast until 10am - items that I can recall included coffee, juice, muffins, apples, cheese, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, waffles and cereal. A short walk to several shops, cafes and restaurants.

We were very pleased with our accommodations at the Murray Hotel. Check in was quick and friendly. We had a king room and it was larger than I had expected. Amenities included a microwave, refrigerator with a separate freezer, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. The room was very clean and quiet. There was ample seating to watch tv as well as a desk and chair. The location in old town was convenient to shops and restaurants. Although they don't have a parking lot, there was ample parking on the street in front of the hotel. I highly recommend the Murray and we will stay there again on our next trip to Silver City.

Friendly at check-in. Hotel was nice, room was clean. Issues - coffee available 24 hours, but we could not get them to fill the empty decaf coffee pot. Both coffee pots were empty at breakfast. Guests were not happy. Breakfast did not include any hot items. Replacement of original radiators was not done correctly, our thermostat in the room did not work. They said they had no other rooms available, and brought up a portable radiator. Printer trouble prevented getting a receipt, and the desk employee was away cleaning up the breakfast area when we arrived to check-out. More attention to customer service is needed. Street parking only, so you may be parking some distance from the hotel.
