I spent four relaxing days at Mvuvi Boutique Resorts in Kiwengwa, Zanzibar. The staff was amazing, the beach was beautiful, and the food was delicious. This is a great spot for unwinding after a safari or any other adventure. It was affordable and intimate. I also had one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

A beautiful resort with nice clean rooms, nice pool & the best food we had our whole holiday! We had half board & were blown away by the food. The best beach right outside your door & wonderful staff.

This was a perfect boutique hotel - exceptionally pretty and with everything we were looking for. The rooms are just metres from the beach, the food is extremely good, and the team can't be beaten. Getting up at 3.50am to gift us fresh fruit for a trip was absolutely exceptional but in keeping with the service we received throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and they also went out of their way to make sure that they accommodated our (vegan) dietary requirements. Cannot recommend too highly.

Amazing stay at Mvuvi. Very secluded (1h from Stonetown), intimate and private. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperative but we had a chance to enjoy the great food, the private beach and walk around the shore. I would probably chose to explore another area next time with more things to do around (not as secluded).

LOVED EVERYTHING!!!! It was a beautiful, natural property that felt like home. There were not too many rooms, so there were not too many guests, and we always felt comfortable. The rooms and outdoor spaces were all very naturally and tastefully done and were all cleaned multiple times per day. Everything always worked, was always clean, and everything was thought of in advance. A perfect example of this was that on the last day, when we were going to the airport (at 2:45am) Grace was awake to see us off, and the kitchen staff had packed our favorite breakfast for us (they even remembered what we liked)! We had only planned to stay there for 3 days, but extended our stay for 7 days because we loved it so much. Grace and Neema were wonderfully accommodating, arranging trips for us on short notice - and everyone they put us in contact with (drivers, tour guides, kite-surfing instructors) was extremely kind and generous. A special thank you also to Baracka, Fareeda, Veronica and Victoria for always being so accommodating and friendly. Vacation never felt like this before. In other places you still feel like you’re thinking of things, looking for things, feeling somehow not at home… This was the first time I’ve gone on a vacation and really understood the meaning of that word. No worries at all, hakuna matata.

Mvuvi Resort provides the perfect idyllic beach respite - it is quiet and relaxing. The staff were amazing - helpful and kind (and very accommodating when my outgoing flight got cancelled and I was rebooked on one leaving 5 hours later). I would love to come back!

The property itself was beautiful and clean. The staff was very kind and helpfull whenever we had any request. There are many possibilities for trips. There is a variety for food and drinks. ATTENTION. If you book fullboard the drinks like soft drinks, water and cocktails are not included. Still everyday they provide a bottle of water. If you visit the beach there are many beach boys which try to sell you Accessoires and Trips. Nevertheless you have your own area on the beach which they cannot enter infront of the Hotel.

Communication was not the greatest with staff which made my stay a bit stressful. Cute property if you’re traveling solo, coupleor small family. Wouldnt recommend for groups. Amenities are limited. And the food is subpar. Luckily there are other food options in the area.

Very small boutique resort in Kiwengwa which has direct access to the beach. The staff and service is exceptional and the dining and food was very delicious. The room is very rustic yet comfortable however it comes with minimal and basic amenities. My wife had two massages in the spa which were very relaxing. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a hotel in North East Zanzibar. The only minor hiccup was that I had purchased Half Board however, there was a miscommunication between Expedia and the Hotel and this issue was promptly resolved.

We had an amazing stay at Mvuvi and Zanzibar. Carolina arranged everything so easily and made our stay a relaxing one. All staff at Mvuvi make you feel at home. Views from the property are incredible. We will certainly come back for a longer stay next time.

We couldn’t speak more highly of this wonderful hotel. The staff were so attentive and made us feel like we were the only guests staying there. The hotel itself was beautiful, quiet and with so many lovely attentions to detail. The moment we arrived we felt instantly relaxed and welcome. No task was too big or small for the team there, from helping us get our lost bag at the airport, to organising incredible days out and surprising us with a beautifully romantic dinner on the beach for our final evening; everything was so thoughtful and we really didn’t want to leave. I have been back one day and already told everyone that they must stay here! Thank you so much for having us.

Absolutely marvellous and memorable stay. Grace was top quality from start to finish. Staff were always on hand, helpful and very polite. A very small intimate environment with limited guests, yet space enough to do your own thing. We were blessed to have stayed and can’t recommend the place strongly enough to others.

It was really nice, all the staff were always 110% available to make the stay unforgettable. Very good breakfast, dinner options multiple, a lot of security and guards which increase your whole experience to the maximum. Side note : the reef visiting is a must! Thank you again Mvuvi

It was totally great place and atmosphere. Especially all of hotel staffs were quite helpful , friendly and cheerful. Was quite fun to walk on the kiwenga beach. We enjoyed a lot to have breakfast with daily fresh fruits and bakery. Also would like to recommand to take coral reel boat trip which is suggested by the hotel. Definetely Mvuvi is best hotel experience for our honeymoon.

This is a tiny, quiet and superbly run little hotel.

We loved the location on the beach and the private area with a guard. The food was lovely and well presented. The room had everything we needed but did smell a bit damp. I think the moisture in the humid air is hard to control. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Grace went out of her way to make our trip relaxing. We loved Samwell a newish trainee who works very hard and has a great sense of humour. My only criticism is that no fresh coffee is offered or available at the hotel. I had to go next door to get my fix. We would definitely visit again and bring the cafetière. Shame with all the lovely African coffee on offer.

We had 2 rooms for our family at Mvuvi which is on the lovely Kiwengwa beach with powder white sand and beautiful turquoise water. The resort is small, private and a bit rustic but fit our family perfectly. If you are looking for a big, party place, keep looking. The staff led by Grace was very attentive and always available. Grace helped us with excursions and even gave us a partial refund when we were disappointed in one outing. She also helped us when there was a problem with something we had booked ahead of time and it worked out great. The food at Mvuvi is outstanding! There were good vegetarian options as well. I would have preferred regular coffee rather than instant but that is minor. The dining room is upstairs with a lovely view. WiFi is spotty and only worked for us in the dining room but I think that is quite common in Zanzibar. Thank you Grace and everyone at Mvuvi for making our stay so special!
