Wi fi is very slow. Breakfast very crowded and they ran out of certain food items and knives. Subways are a mess with partial closures on one or more lines at night. Many rooms face a blank concrete wall. Neighborhood is creepy at night. Overall I cannot recommend.

Overall a great stay.
Perfect location, literally steps away from the subway with quick access to most places.
Although the suite was a olittle 'tired' the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in and even beat ours at home!
If there was any criticism at all, the breakfast was a disappointment. It would have been nice to have more continental options particularly on the bakery side.

We love this hotel! It’s clean, close to the subway and has very friendly service. We had an issue with the shower. It clogged so bad that we had to drain it ourselves with the bathroom trashcan just to rinse off enough to get out. We called for service and it was taken care of quickly. Kitchen sink slow to drain as well. Breakfast was “ok”. Really nice to have large refrigerator (not full size, but larger than a dorm fridge). We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Staff is great. Expensive for being a pretty old hotel. Rooms are very small. Everything was clean but you could tell it was just an old hotel.
if you need a quick spot to stay to get to the airport easily, this will do it's job. Don't expect luxury.
The transportation to and from the airport is very smooth.

All was fine, except the air conditioner was incredibly noisy, disturbing our night sleep. But I believe a simple repair will do.

We stood one night in this hotel with my husband. The room was very cleaned and very nice. The view from the bedroom was amazing so worth staying here. I wish I had booked my other nights in just this hotel. Omar was very friendly and great checking us in. Will stay here again.

Great transport links into the City and all the attractions, staff excellent and went out of there way to engage. Breakfast was OK, less cheese on everything please and room noisy with Fridge-freezer and aircon buzzing.

We got in very late from international flight. The guy at reception was very kind and friendly. Room clean and comfy. Breakfast decent- Felt expensive for what it was but know city is high.

The hotel itself was fine and in a great location for my trip. The room was spacious and had a curtain divider between the bed and the sleeper sofa. The problem was that I booked a room that had a separate sitting area, in a separate room from the bedroom. The photo on the listing clearly shows a door and wall separating the two areas. However, when we checked in they were fully booked and were not able to give us the room I wanted. Looking back at the Hotels.com listing, I think that the room titles for the suite and the studio are reversed. The hotel insisted that I got the room that I booked but it clearly doesn't match the photos on the Hotels.com listing.

We had a great experience staying at this property it was very clean & the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious for family of four. Our view was superb 👌 I'd recommend this place and look forward to coming back in the future.

Front desk staff is very friendly. Hotel was clean and our room was very spacious. Location is 1 block away from the subway.
Cons:
Breakfast was supposed to go until 9. By 8:40, it was almost depleted and staff did not refill, even going through shutting the warmer off. If breakfast goes until 9, it should be served until 9.
Parking is unpredictable. They have very limited spots and you are not guaranteed one.

The room was very clean and spacious for the whole family and it has all the amenities we needed and the staff was very helpful, we have really enjoyed staying there. The breakfast was excellent. Thank you all for the service you gave us and whenever we travel to New York again our first choice will be your hotel.

Hotel was great! We have four kids and there was enough space in the room for all of us. Part of why we picked it was because it has a terrace with a view of the city but that was closed so that was disappointing.
Workout room and breakfast were the two fav parts and it was close to the subway.

I think one of the best place to stay if you are in new york for business or for visiting purpose. Excellent compromise between cost, comfort, easy access to public transportation. I highly recommend.

This hotel is a joy! Who knew that so close to Manhattan is a super-comfortable hotel, 3-minutes walk to the subway, with a good free breakfast, kitchen in the room, and very nice and helpful staff. Plus, if you take a walk in the neighborhood, you'll find multi-ethnic restaurants that represent the people who live in the area: Greek, Bangladesh, Italian (try Leo's pizza, the best margarita I had in years). Next time I go to NYC, I will definitely stay at Home2Suites.

Staff was okay not great. Breakfast was minimal and embarrassingly horrible. I would be embarrassed to serve that food to my guests.
Served microwaved, artifical eggs and muffins. Worst breakfast experience at all the hotels I've been to. I liked that the hotel was super close to two MTA stations to get you to New York quickly. Surrounding area was a safe, with several other food options. There's a nearby discounted garage that will discount your parking fee when staying at a neighboring hotel, so avoid the hotel parking garage. I also liked the gym, which was better than most and had a functional trainer cable machine that can pretty much do all the movements you need. Overall great space when traveling with small children.
