The staff was very friendly and even let us stay parked a couple of hours beyond checkout. The only downside was our first floor room had a noisy renter above, constantly moving chairs which we could clearly hear through the unsoundproofed ceiling.

Very cute cottage and the location was great but we kept hearing a loud, thumping bass sound past midnight at night that came through the walls. We also ran out of hot water halfway through our 3rd daughter showering. Just be sure to bring your own toiletries and there was no cookware as well.

Honestly the only negative was the tiny parking space but it's beachfront cottage. having parking included at all was nice. Friendly clean and close to everything

Very close to the beach and restaurants (Abby Road). Check in was very comprehensive and received lots of hints where to go/ what to do. Coffee maker in room but no cups/ mugs...humm mm... All employees were very engaging!

Family owned and operated, Steve Jr was welcoming at the start and Steve Sr. At checkout time. Room was very clean and well maintained. Location is very close to the beach, dining, shopping.

When we checked in Stevie Jr. gave us a rundown of the immediate area. He was so nice and informative. It was a quick and easy check in. The room was extremely clean. The only thing was is the smell of must I had a problem with and the bed was not comfortable. But the location and cleanliness was outstanding.

My husband and I were in Roanoke seeing his family. No one could take a day off work so we decided to go to Virginia Beach. I found the cottage on Trivago while we were driving to Virginia Beach. The place was relatively easy to find with Google maps. I liked that the free parking was off the street beside the cottage, and then the ocean was just a couple of easily walked blocks away. The room has a microwave, very small fridge, toaster, coffee pot, and a 2-burner cook top. There were NO pots or pans, no plates, no utensils, no cups so bring your own if you intend to cook while you are there. There are several places to eat, souvenir shops, drug stores, and convenience stores close by. The bed in our room was very soft and comfortable. We did have a small mishap. We were the first to use the heater this season, and when it warmed up it burned off the dust and caused the smoke alarm to go off! The place was brightly lit all night long which brings me to my only complaint-- I had to hang towels on the windows to make it dark enough to sleep. The owner and his son were very nice. I was having an allergic reaction which caused the skin around my eyes to swell and get red and itchy. They gave me ice to put on my eyes the help reduce the swelling. I was thankful that I did not have to buy a whole bag of ice at 7-11!

I had a great stay, one night, week before Labor Day. Super clean and quiet, easy parking, even let me park in overflow lot the day of departure. Appreciated restaurant recommendations. Across the street from 7/11, a block from Walgreens, no need to drive anywhere. Will be back!

All the decor was similar to the 50s and that was a great memory. Colors and decorations were bright and cheerful. Staff were helpful with current festivities and directions. Grounds were well maintained.

The first thing we noticed when we arrived was the owners were very kind and welcoming. The room was extremely clean and very conveniently located. I’d stay here again.

My daughter and I stayed here for four nights. The property was super clean and the customer service is second to nine. There’s plenty to do within walking distance. I’d recommend this place to anyone considering taking a vacation to Virginia Beach.

Location is several blocks from the beach and boardwalk. Several good restaurants nearby. Communication with management was poor. The room was not provided with fresh towels daily - probably every several days. I would not stay there again.

Damp inside, parking sucked

I had one set of new towels replaced in the 3 days I stayed. No one came to dump the garbage in three days. We had one table light out during the stay and the bathroom light went out on the last day with no replacement bulbs available. All in all, I made the best of it, Air condition was great and made up for it all!

No manager on site when we arrived! When checked in did not get a copy of the rules or a copy of our signed receipt! Manager has no communication skills!

Property was convenient to the beach and dining. It was a bad area there were people coming and going all the time not of a very nice sword they were noisy playing music all the time. Refrigerator very tiny could barely put any drinks in it freezer had no door and it was tiny barely fits a nice tray. It ain't no utensils no plates or glasses or pans or anything for the two burner stove. Also had a bunch of unsavory characters in the late afternoon and evening right through the night yelling at each other screaming obscenities etc

The place was incredibly small, and the floor shifted downhill significantly. I might be exaggerating the small size cause I am 6foot and claustrophobic 😆

See through curtains and a large dog barking from inside the hotel. Also homeless people sleeping in the garden area. They do not answer the phone during check in hours so we could not set up a alternative time to check in. Their answer to this was that they had a sign on the door will that didn't do me anygood when i was not in town. When i did get in it was late and i was not comfortable getting out of my car had to get a different hotel for the first night. They didn't refund the first night, said i could go to the door it was not safe in my opinion. Lots of transit type people around at night. Would not suggest for familys.

We just loved this place! The owner was so nice and very knowledgeable. He recommended great places to eat, where to run each day, where and when to surf, among other things. The place was a block away from the beach. Everything was walkable. Great food and shopping and various entertainment. Just a heads up, this place advertises a kitchenette…. (According to the owner) Due to COVID, the cdc won’t allow them to provide pots and pans, cutlery, and plates. So bring your own! Also, there is a grill but it is charcoal and that isn’t provided. Those are the two things, I wish I’d known! Otherwise the place was charming and quiet and quaint.
