This place is beautiful! The property is very well maintained and the staff are very kind and helpful. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. The only issue I had was the proximity of the rooms to the road which I know can’t be changed but the road noise definitely kept me awake at night.

Beautiful and safe property.

Our first visit to Costa Rica and this was a perfect starter Hotel. The grounds were beautiful and the dining/pool area amazing! The staff was on point and very hospitable. The hotel is only 20-30 minutes away with traffic. The only and it wasn’t awful at all, was the location. It was located in the city, which wasn’t the most picturesque views/

My family and I had the best experience at Villa San Ignacio this past week. We were a large group and everyone there was so incredibly helpful and kind. The service was really outstanding in every way. The grounds are also beautiful making the overall atmosphere so relaxing. I love the style of the restaurant as well. The rooms were super clean too! I really hope to be able to go back one day when I’m passing through the San Jose area 😊

Beautiful property, not far from airport. Friendly staff, great food! Easy check in and even provided umbrellas for us to use. Clean and comfortable room.

This place is a gem. Spotless, exquisite setting and kind and attentive service. Very comfortable mattress and pillows too. Someone really cares about caring for people at Villa San Ignacio.

Charming little gem in the middle of the city. Clean and bright rooms with beautiful gardens. Surrounding neighborhood area is a bit rough so walking isnt advisable. Great breakfast included. The only thing I would suggest the owners add are extra door locks for security once inside the room. These only have small pin locks on the door handles.

The staff at the restaurant’s hotel is great - warm and ready to serve you after a long flight or a long car ride. The gate security knocked on our door to let us know the light in our car was left on. Very highly recommended.

We came in very late from the airport and they were able to get us in late (after midnight). Great breakfast the next day. Overall the room was more spacious than we expected and was such a great value as the price included breakfast for all 6 of us. Great entry into Costa Rica for us. The security the night before and the restaurant staff were top notch!!

It was near the airport and after a late flight it was nice to get to the hotel and be able to have a bite to eat on the restaurant before calling it a night. Breakfast set us up for our next trip to La Fortuna. Very friendly staff.

The room was comfortable & clean inside and out. The shower was hot, the linens were nice. The breakfast was delicious & the staff provided top notch service.

Wonderful about our late check in. They organized our transportation from the airport and had a great late night meal ready when we arrived. The room is huge. So spacious and beautiful!

We stayed in the 2 bedroom, perfect for my family with two teenagers! The pool was fun but the grounds were the real star - AMAZING! The staff went above and beyond to make everything absolutely perfect. Happy hour was fun to try some of their great cocktails. The restaurant was so good! I would stay there again and again!

My experience at Villa San Ignacio has been spectacular. The room was clean and the air conditioning was a must as it keeps the room nice and cool through the night. The staff was great and very accommodating and the food was spectacular. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay near SJO or anyone in San Jose. 10/10 I would stay again! :)

Villa San Ignacio is a wonderful hotel with excellent service. We enjoyed the pool, restaurant, games and beautiful walking trails. But most of all we appreciated the friendly and attentive staff who ensured that all of our needs were met!

The setting was incredible. And so was everything else about this unique property. I will return to enjoy a longer stay!

Such beautiful grounds, wonderful breakfast and very friendly staff!

The property itself is beautiful, the landscaping is absolutely first class. The staff was great as was the food. The neighborhood is not good so it felt like this oasis in the middle of a noisy, busy dirty zone. Be aware there is no tv in the room but you won't mind because of other activities on the property. If you stay more than a few nights, you will want to book excursions to other areas for things to do during the day.

this is a very nice typical small hotel. the staff is extremely friendly, the restaurant was good, the grounds are pretty and the room was clean. unfortunately i arrived at rush hour and it took me more than an hour to drive the 7km from the airport to the hotel. san jose traffic is notoriously horrible so i probably would have dnvountered that problem with any hotel

Beautiful property about 30 min from tbe airport. Gated, gorgeous landscape. Great food & friendly staff. Perfect for our stay before driving to La Fortuna.

A convenient stay close to the airport. The grounds were beautiful, with a big pool, pool table and dart boards. The staff were very accomodating with the hotel even arranging takeaway breakfast for us at 3am before our flight. Highly recommend

Villa San Ignacio was a highlight of our stay in Costa Rica. Great price for a beautiful property with great food, a pool, trails, comfy rooms, and close to SJO airport. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to end our trip before flying home!

We were so delightfully surprised with our stay at Villa San Ignacio. The entire grounds, our room, the restaurant and all community areas were so thoughtfully designed and decorated. Not a detail was unforgotten. Especially appreciated the pool table and comfortable seating areas and beautiful art. The staff were incredibly sweet and helpful, the trails and grounds surrounding the property were so much fun to explore during our short stay. We stayed here overnight before going to San Jose airport, and wish we could’ve spent some additional time here. We will definitely be coming back to the hotel again on our trips to Costa Rica. What a lovely place!!

We stayed at Villa San Ignacio for one night before departing from the San Jose airport. It's only a 20 minute drive to the airport off of the busy highway. However, the reason you should stay here is because it is a gem! I could stay here again and again...it's so adorable, quaint, clean, friendly, and the restaurant served the best food and coffee we had all week in Costa Rica. Go!

This small hotel and compound has a very good restaurant, pool and bar set up. We regularly use it coming in and out of SJO as a stopping off point. It’s great value and very nice.

We booked Villa San Ignacio as our final night in Costa Rica - we needed a place to stay near San Jose the night before our 6am flight. We were so wonderfully and pleasantly surprised by what is a beautiful little oasis in the middle of town. Our family of 5 booked the 2 bedroom suite and it was beyond perfect. So spacious with an upgraded and very large bathroom. There were 3 sinks and mirrors making it super easy to get ready. It also featured a large shower with great water pressure. The beds are super comfortable. The grounds are really pretty and the pool area lovely. We ate at Pandora, their restaurant, for lunch and dinner and really enjoyed it. The food was well priced for a hotel restaurant and very delicious. Because we would miss the complimentary breakfast due to our early checkout, they left us to-go breakfasts outside our bedroom at 3am. All in all, a perfect gem of a hotel in San Jose. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area.
