Great place and amazing staff

Old building on the Venice Beach strip. Rooms are extremely small and the streaming TV buffers. If you’re looking for a luxurious hotel experience, look elsewhere, but if you want to be beachside on a budget, this will do the trick. Each room equipped with complimentary skateboards to use during your stay.

Superb staff and unmatched location on Venice Beach. Rooms are spotless clean and furnished more like a home than hotel. Food and beverage options of every level at their doorstep. Highly recommended.

This is a perfect hotel to stay in if you are wanting to be at Venice Beach. It’s literally steps to the sand, and super convenient to everything there. The rooms are really cool, and the views are right out onto the beach. All of the front desk people were super nice and helpful, as was the valet. Love that they have bikes and skateboards you can borrow as well.

Amazing hotel right in the centre of Venice Beach. View of the skate park. Staff very helpful in a cool Venice Beach way. Free bike hire well used - the LA traffic is famously bad but on the beach cycling, walking & skating are enjoyablee & jam-free. Hotel beautifully renovated without losing its history. Result!

This is a great place from the clean and well decorated room, valet behind the building, free use of bikes, towels and water as needed, 24 hour desk assistance and a great view. We will stay here again!

Was a clean hotel

This is a great, central location in Venice Beach. I loved that they offered bikes and beach towels to borrow and even a yoga class on the beach! Parking is not cheap so either Uber there or find more reasonable parking costs further away from the ocean. We'd definitely go back!

This hotel is perfectly located on the Venice Beach boardwalk. Plenty of restaurants nearby. None on the property but just outside the entrance are several eateries. Great staff. Enjoyed the view from the Bungalows (rooftop).

This hotel was phenomenal. Venice Beach is stunning and at the hotel’s doorstep. This hotel felt very safe and clean to come home to; the rooms, the robes and the soaps were all lovely at the end of busy days. The staff were always very welcoming and helpful. They knew us by name. Their breakfast recommendations (Fig Tree) and dinner recommendations (Great White) were wonderful. The highlight of our stay was borrowing bikes and exploring our way up to Santa Monica and down to Marina Del Rey.

I recommend the Venice V hotel. The staff was amazing and the hotel was charming. Not the modern convenience of the 21st century, but nice. The shower was great. Great restaurants across from property. Unique experience. I enjoyed using their bicycles and going to Santa Monica Pier. I would stay there again.

The room was trendy and clean but water coming from the faucets was white instead of clear. The area around the hotel felt unsafe, smelly, loud, and dirty - many homeless people yelling/fighting at night; weed was stinking up the air; and police on a loud speaker was disturbing our sleep. The valet parking has only a few slots for cars and the streets around the hotels are super narrow and difficult to drive on. If this hotel was in a better location, it would have been amazing.

My husband and I had never been to Venice Beach but this was the perfect hotel in the ideal spot. We enjoyed five days of pampering. The staff was extremely nice and the food stops around the location are awesome!

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is fantastic! The area surrounding the hotel is dirty, unsafe, and unappealing. Lots of homeless and scary individuals.

The highlight was borrowing bikes at no cost from the hotel and riding along the beach to Santa Monica. There was also a complementary yoga class on the beach on Saturday morning :). The rooms are small but otherwise good and clean. We enjoyed a short walk to the skate park to see the locals at play. There are plenty of options for food and entertainment. There are a number of homeless in the area - they mostly kept to themselves. There is a constant waft of Marijuana and the locals love to play their own brand of music as they get about the strip. worth noting is that it is quite a distance from other attractions - so if you want to see Hollywood or universal studios keep this in mind.

This isn’t much other parking in the area, and overnight parking is impossible to find. The Valet parking for the hotel did a great job of keeping up with guest vehicles despite the construction and foot traffic

The staff members were friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was really nice. Initially it was just hard to find. Overall great stay!

This was interesting I got charged 500$ miscellaneous charges.

My room was gorgeous and the staff was so friendly. Loved the complimentary water (the staff were great about always offering this as well) as well as the yoga class on the beach and the bikes and skateboards you could use at any time.

Location location

The Venice V is located in a 1915 historical building. The room was large with the beautiful old brick wall and large windows. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Lovely to be able to walk to the Santa Monica Pier stopping to eat, drink and shop along the way!

They had the comfiest beds!
