Very clean and close to campsite.

In the heart of Reykjavik.

After arriving to check in they could not find my reservation even though I had my confirmation and receipt of payment. They had to call another office who put them on hold to see where was my reservation. They do not disclose that guests have to rent a towel for a few, seriously even that's not provided. Please do yourself a favor and book elsewhere I will not recommend this place.

Nice place, super clean, everything you need is clean there, and close to downtown. Recommended.

Room was too small for two people (as wide as bed was) and for our stuff. There was a window sill which was in bad condition. It had got water damage and was moldy. In common rooms were untidy floors and WC. Shower hasn't been cleaned properly for months. There was black mold in the shower enclosure. Stuff were friendly though and there was beautiful and great bakery downstairs in the same building.

Quiet clean room with shared bathrooms, kitchen, washing machine. restaurant in the check in area. Best value for money in Reykjavik. No breakfast served and no nearby shops. Need a car to get around.

The entrance to the guest house is behind a restaurant with garbage dumpsters. We had an economy room that was the size if a large elevator, it’s window did not open. that in itself would have been fine, but the lavatory was in the hall outside our door. The ventilation in the guesthouse was a problem for me.

The pictures on the homepage tell you a different impression from what is offert. There is no kitchen and no bath room for each room. The staff in the kitchen is less. positifily I can remark that the bath room is clean.

Very fresh and appealing rooms and common areas. Super close to the best bath and gym in Iceland. Very thin walls and extremely loud doors throughout the building so if you're a light sleeper you're gonna be in some real trouble during high season.

Our stay was great. The guest house was super clean and it had all the amenities that we needed. Is definitely a good and affordable option in Reykjavik. Obviously it’s very simple and the room was tiny but we were expecting that. I feel that the relative price value was perfect.

Nice hostel. However, garbage was overflowing and toilets were frequently out if tissue papers. Please replenish timely.

Pretty much a self-serve place. It is comfortable and clean for a hostel. Great location.

Bedsheets not changed

Clean, easy to/from down town. Betterbif you have car. But it only had one toilet. Toilet was in 1 of the shower rooms, so hard to get a turn. That’s the only reason I didn’t give full stars.

Room is exactly what we needed with simple but modern bedding which is super comfy (we fell asleep as soon as we have settled down! ). Shared bathroom and kitchen facilities are in good working condition. Bathrooms are sufficient in the apartment to be shared among all. Wifi works strongly throughout. There’s a 10-11 opposite which is 24hrs. However, slightly away from city centre. We only decide to choose this location since we are driving. Overall, was worth the price paid.

This is very far outside Reykjavík and not walkable everyday. Bus is once and hour and taxi is horribly expensive. Room was for 3 but would actually be in any other normal place would be for one single bed it was that small. Single bed and a double squeezed into a tiny room with only one very tiny window opening so room was horrible and felt like couldn’t breath with 3 in it. One had to go sleep in common area it was that bad. Would not meet safety standards in most countries. This is a low end hostel

Laekur guesthouse it’s self is very clean and is only a 10 min walk in to Reykjavik. The beds are comfy and is a ideal place to stay if you are looking at visiting Reykjavik on the cheap as Iceland is expensive. The guest house tho could do with having a TV in the lounge for them days the weather is not so great but other than that my stay was pleasant and would recommend to anyone.

Common areas like kitchen and seating room are nice and clean. Even though property is not smoking, it definitely smells like smoke the second you enter the building- this was the only negative thing. Shared bathroom is clean and well maintained.

The mattress was leaning against the steam heater so I banged my knee on it several times throughout our stay, and could not open the door with our suitcases in the room without putting them on the bed. There were no curtains in our room so it affected our sleep since the sun never sets in the summertime. I honestly thought the no curtains was the most upsetting part of our stay and seems like a huge oversight. The hostel was clean when we arrived, but no one came to clean on Sunday so all guests started commenting on how we had run out of toilet paper, paper towels, and the bathroom was starting to become a bit yucky. Overpriced for what we were provided and would not stay there again without knowing improvements had been made.

This is a nice little guesthouse located above the coffee shop...Individual rooms share common areas and a kitchen that is well-equipped .... Nice little place and I would recommend this to a friend… Pretty good location if you have a car or dont mind a cab ....
