We stayed there for one night. But it seemed like a long time. You can walk around. There is the garden and the lake, which is not a new thing in Germany in general. I’d much prefer it if they had some bikes to rent, then we could go through the green areas. Also, they could have some small boats on the lake. It seemed like there were so many unused potentials. However, I have to say the staff were extraordinarily nice. The rooms were clean. There was a rabbit and a swing in the garden which I loved.

The space is large enough for two people and a dog living in. Surrounded by green trees and grass. The building looks great in this area. Very good restaurant. They really know how to cook delicious meals.

Moving luggage from the parking area up to the reception is a pain, sometimes you hear noise from the airtraffic into Frankfurt. Room had no air condition which hwr I did not mind. Friendly staff, large room, all good.

Very classy! Actually not that far from the Frankfurt Airport if you are flying in or out of there.

It was great to stay here, I just wished I could have arrived early enough to see the hunting museum.

I stayed here 2 nights solo, the second night was with a puppy. Staff were easy to communicate with via chat through Expedia leading up to the trip, and we’re friendly and helpful in person. I paid extra for the breakfast buffet, it was excellent. The on site restaurant was wonderful, I ate there twice for dinner. They let me bring my new pup into the restaurant. It was a little hard to find (I kept driving past it in the dark, my GPS had the wrong entrance). I was in an adjacent building, so had to walk outside a short distance. The hallway in the main building leading to the outdoor path was quite dark in the evening. Maybe I missed a light switch? I loved the park setting and the beautiful pond. Unfortunately I didn’t have much time to explore. It was very peaceful, though there was noise from being in the flight path of Frankfurt airport. Having said that, it was an easy drive to the airport when it was time to leave (25 minutes). When I arrived with my puppy, they had a dog bed and a water bowl waiting in the room, so sweet! I would stay there again.

Nice location and a beautiful hotel!

Check-in was at the main hotel. We stayed in the lovely annex just 100m down the road. Unfortunately the road can be rather busy so you either have to sit in traffic awaiting an opening in the oncoming flow to make the required left-hand-turn or you drive past/turn around and come back and make a right-hand-turn OR you risk it. We tried to locate the building using Google Maps but it stopped us about a km short, next to some railway tracks so … aim for the Museum building and you’ll get very near the check-in location. Very pleasant facility - clean and quiet. This is out in the country - there are a few eateries nearby (a bit pricey) or you have to head into Darmstadt for a full array of choices. Unfortunately, we had to head for the Frankfurt Airport rather early (a good half-hour away) and we missed any opportunity to examine the hunting museum or the eco-museum at the two Jagdschloss locations. Overall - pretty good value for our one-night stay.

We love to stay there, but in the summer it’s not so pleasant without air conditioning! The room is very hot!

This hotel is fantastic. Great service, free parking, great food and a fantastic historic location. We enjoyed the drinks in the restaurant, the well equipped gym and even the dog got VIP treatment with its own bed and food bowl in the room. Can truly recommend this stay!

Nice accomodations, but was expecting more in terms of amenities...no in room information about food services.

Nice stay. Small but clean room. Only issue was the room temperature which was set to boiling.

Breakfast for 17 euros a bit pricey but many choices and beautiful layout and service. I only needed a room for overnight prior to my return flight, so booked the least expensive option which is in the annex building. The room was very elegant but had only a view of the gravel parking lot. Ok for one brief night but would choose an upgrade for a longer stay. The grounds are gorgeous with access to a large network of trails through the adjacent woods near the lake.

Beautiful room, very clean and cosy. Excellent food both at dinner and at breakfast. The white wines served per glass deserve a special mention. Service very kind and considerate. We shall return !

The hotel is beautiful. It was immaculate and prettily decorated for the holidays. Because the restaurant was closed for renovations, the menu was a bit limited, but everyone was professional, friendly and helpful.The mattresses could be a bit more comfortable. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. I would definitely stay again.

Great hotel with excellent rooms, very clean and well maintained.Food was excellent and highly recommended.Did not explore local area a great deal as used as a stop over but would stay again anytime

The property and the staff were excellent. The breakfast, while expensive is well worth it as we didn’t need to eat again until dinner time.
