Great family get together.

This was my first stay at this hotel in Fort McMurray.
When I checked in, they did everything they could to accommodate my 2 night stay, including making sure I wasn’t on the same floor as the kids hockey team which included upgrading my room.
My only complaint is that the breakfast thats included with the stay, it isnt available before 6:00am which I found a bit inconvenient since the hotel is utilitzed by plenty of oilfield companies in town whos workdays start at 6:00am so having the breakfast available prior would have been better.

I was booked for a big room with a queen size bed and ended up with a small room ,small bed and for some strange reason they were vacuuming the halls after 11 pm

Greeting wasnt the best, just handed a key no idea what room without looking for it myself, nothing about wifi access just where the breakfast was and what time. Could do with tuning of presentations on arrival. Room was a quarter of the size the photos made it look, but clean and presentable as it should be.

Hotel is clean, check in was easy but a little slow. The rooms have zero sound proofing , we are currently listening the the next rooms FaceTime call with his GF. It’s like he’s in our room . The rooms above sounds like someone is wrestling a gorilla. I’ve never stayed in such a bad room and I typically stay in a camp room for work . For $175 i expect a little quieter .

This on queen room had a musty almost like old ashtray smell. Had to open the window and turn on bathroom fan to get rid of the smell. After returning to the room at the end on the day the stuffy odor was back and we needed to air the room out. This room should only be booked by singles. It is way too cramped for a couple. The name Micro is appropriate for this room.

Overall the stay was ok. Disappointed that the spa was not working while we were there. Also, disappointed that the breakfasts ended by 9am. Most hotels have breakfast at least till 10am. Food selection was a bit limited. Also, we found the beds to be quite uncomfortable. My husband and I tossed and turned most of the night and ended up dealing with unpleasant back pain for the full three nights we stayed there.
