The hotel was in a great location. The staff was incredibly nice. However the hotel is old and could benefit from updates/remodeling.

This charming old hotel is located in the heart of the historic town center of Merida without breaking the bank. Convenient parking two doors away and a small pool to cool off after a hot day. Enjoyed four days at this hotel and would stay there again in the future.

Lots of loud construction late at night. Really bad. Room was nice.Staff warm. But all that noise. Jackhammers at night! Why?

Convient location, good value, helpful staff. Could use some touch ups (e.g.uneven tiles in the halls).

The room failed to meet expectations on multiple fronts – not only did it lack furniture, but the sheets and pillowcases were stained. To compound matters, the phone was nonfunctional, we had to navigate the TV using two remotes. Moreover, the absence of a mosquito net on the small bathroom window resulted in an uncomfortable encounter with mosquitos. Faced with these issues, we made the decision to switch hotels after enduring two nights of inconvenience.

The room is basic and outdated. Towels are very limited. We had to ask, actually beg, for towels. The location was good.

Great place to explore Mérida - small relaxing pool, but it was used by a lot of noisy people when we there (our room was right next to it). Very beautiful

Personnel is always attentive and respectful. Out room was clean and quite. We've stayed here teo time already and I have no complaints

I stayed 2 nights, the hotel and room is relative to the price. No frills. The room was basically clean. There were no hand towels. The AC was a bit noisy. The breakfast at the cafe is good. Location is good. All-in-all for a short stay is ok.

The location is excellent, plus free parking just a couple doors down. Right between the main squares with lots of activities and places to eat and shop. Hotel was quiet. AC worked well, which is very important in Merida. My disappointment was with some of the staff. Some were helpful, but a lot sat behind the desk playing on their phones. When I checked in, the toilet in my room was not clean at all. I needed to get to a meeting shortly after checking in, so I left and told the front desk. When I got back at least four hours later, it had not been cleaned. I asked the bell hop to bring me cleaning supplies, and I cleaned it myself. The same bellhop gave me the wrong time for the Mayan ball game exhibit in the square, so I missed it. Overall, it was just a lack of being attentive by staff with some exceptions of a couple who were quite helpful.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very nice and clean. The bathroom was a bit small without much room to put anything, but we managed. Location was fabulous. Everything you needed for a stay in the city. Booked excursions from there as well.

Toilet plugged up immediately. No soap, no hand towels. No reading light, just a dim light high up near the high ceiling. Bathroom smelled ancient and moldy. The room was full of tiny 'tiger' mosquitos that had a vicious bite that was painful for 40 minutes. I was bitten many times through a miserable night. 'Cheesecake' in the coffee shop was a kind of semi-solid foam that had never seen a cow. The 'swimming pool' is one stroke in length. Plenty of hot water though.

This hotel is very close to Centro, so many locations are walkable. Rooms were very clean and relatively quiet considering closeness to the street. Beds were very, very, very firm. Parking was available nearby. The pool was chilly but pleasant when we needed a cool-down. Restaurant/coffee shop in the building was pricey and we didn't experience good service, but the Restaurant directly across the street was excellent.

I love the location but the service can be better. They didn’t explain me about the shower and the phone.

Like the home from the Disney movie Encanto. It’s open setting so it’s beautiful to see the outside especially when you get the pool view. January weather was perfect not hot yet chilly in the morning and the afternoon so it was extremely convenient since it’s a block away from downtown! Gift shops, restaurants are all very close by!

Such a beautiful place! We were fortunate enough to have stayed in the sole room with a balcony. The view is excellent for having a glass of wine and seeing the people and cars pass by. The area is not too noisy so you can rest easy in the king bed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay at Hotel Mérida again.

Parking is inside a dedicated parking lot very close to the hotel. Safe and convenient.

The front desk staff are friendly, the housekeeping people very noisy. the hotel is an icon, great location...but the amenities are poor, sheets very old, the room smells old, poor lighting an the shower was broken, si when I showered, literally all the restroom it floods.

Excellent location. However, if you drive a 12 passenger van you will not be able to park in the hotel's free parking. You will have to walk 2 blocks and can only park 8pm-8am otherwise you need to pay.

The hotel is conveniently located just off the main plaza in a classic building that has been recently renovated. The room was comfortable and quiet and the bathroom was very nice with a large rainfall shower head and modern fixtures. The included breakfast came with juice, coffee, bread and jam, plus a choice of main dish and was very good.
